Plan A had been a failure.. but perhaps Plan B could make for good improvisation.
This mech did not have the same attributes as the techno-organic had, but it would have to do. For now the being could take rest, gain strength as it fed off of Redline's energy.
No.. Emotion. Emotion appeared to be the fuel this form required.
Particularly.. the negative ones.
As Redline made his getaway from Crown City, the form only grew in slow increments. It could think for itself, sentient as any other creature could be. Perhaps more so. It could not read the mech's thoughts, but it could see the mech's surroundings. Organic life everywhere.. Disgusting. Mechanical life had been the more superior race, but the more the being thought.. perhaps they too could produce so much negativity.
It made him chuckle most menacingly.. a chuckle the being did not quite expect to be vocalized. How peculiar.. It's first vocalizations.

Despite being so close to Crown City, a report was logged in with his discoveries. The reason as to why the observer didn't want to return was to further scout the area for any base locations without being spotted, rather difficult to do with so many Autobots and strange happenings going on. In truth, he simply came down to ride the roads of Earth.
Rubber hit the twisting and curving roadway of the foresty areas outside of Crown City, far from the initial plot. As the racer gathered speed and lost it in braking to turn, those tires heated up rather well to gain traction but how much? Still the tires helped the LMP travel the twisting roads higher and higher where the turbochargers that he had acquired through... Well a car was missing some but he wasn't now. They forced air into him at the higher altitudes when the engine demanded more and more. It could only provide so much.
Soon enough familiar racing lines marked by tire marks of braking, turning, and even speeding up were found. All of which were his exact width. All of which he hit the apex and centerlines of repeatedly. He was racing this route multiple times to get better! At first he shaved off seconds and now his latest laps were hundredths of seconds taken away. Doing much better and better until the turbochargers of human design failed at a critical moment cutting out a good portion of power for his wheels. He was not used to such a lose of power coupled with his wheels being so heated.
Brakes, lose of power, a turn in. He oversteered and lost his cool, causing him to speed up which made it worse for his end. Losing control he soon found himself flying off the road and into the dirt filled banks. His sticky wheels won't help him here as they spun and spun and spun while he slid quite a ways, hitting every small tree and knocking all of them over with ease.
Tire marks soon became trenches and footprints as the LMP had changed into a robot wildly swinging a staff to ultimately clear a large patch of thin trees and brush. All the while yelling at his frustration on such a simple fix to his steering, less power through to get the oversteer in under control! A rock was sent flying by his pede soon enough.

How..
Long..
Were these winding roads?!
The form thought it could just think and converse with itself, but after some time.. it grew bored. Just where was this mech going? Why was he taking all these winding roads? Why was he even driving to begin with? Was the root mode not good enough? Why hide on such a weak planet such as this... Earth?
Questions plagued it's thoughts, finding itself distracted up until the moment Redline flew directly off the road, slamming into everything in his path. Tires spun but to no avail. The form could only find itself groaning internally as the mech finally transformed in order to try and free himself from the disgusting Earth filth.
This... was the host it'd chosen..?
And yet it found Redline's anger and frustration in this moment to be quite satisfying. Perhaps it wasn't a waste at all. If the mech could display such negative emotion at something so trivial, the form couldn't wait to see what else could anger him so. Curious.. The form then thought to itself. If it could converse with itself, perhaps it could converse with Redline?
It then spoke it's first words, audible in Redline's processor but to no one else. 'This is a rather fine mess you've gotten yourself into. Imagine if you used such strength against your adversaries.'

These long roads proved to be a good testing ground for his speed, until his grip on reality kicked in. Those long roads overhung him from several meters back like a cat that died but satisfaction will only bring it back.
The grip on his polearm tightened when he swung it, aiming to chop a tree down in an effort to cover his footrpints. He didn't want to anger his leaders in his lapse of judgement when shifting forms.
Yet his blade ever struck bark as someone spoke to him, no point in hiding his presence now! So he will be polite at least with a clenched jaw to face his speaker.
That is if he can find his onlooker who made Redline check the immediate area with vigor, worrying if they were invisible or in hiding or worse yet, Youtubing! Such a massive site for videos and Soundwave for sure will have his head.

What an interesting reaction..
The mech had seemed startled, worried almost. It was an unusual emotion, though while it did bring a small sampling of fear, it wasn't as fueling as anger. Just what did this mech have to worry about so much?
There was amusement in it too as the form watched from behind Redline's optics. The mech was trying so hard to find the source of the voice, but he would never find it. After all, it wasn't physical. It couldn't be seen, but only heard.. deep within his processor. The form's reach was growing, and this was only the beginning.
And so.. it laughed lowly yet audibly once more to only Redline.
"Haha... I don't believe that you will find me quite so easily. After all, I have no physical body of my own. Call me.. your new friend if you will. One that can help guide you and help you grow strong. That is something you desire.. is it not? Are there not those who would call you weak..? I could help change that for you."
Once more the form chuckled. It'd let Redline ask any questions he so desired before divulging any more information.
Well.. what it felt like revealing, anyway.

Worried, startled, and slowly growing bemused at his current predicament. He was a hunter that was tracked and caught, leading him to be in the open. This way and that his optics scanned the forest of wreckage and tire tread marks to find to no avail his onlooker.
"Ever a presence, that is there but it is not, a cold it may be..." Did he refer to this mystery person as a virus or the environment? Still both a force of nature to reckoned with.
His polearm now poised to strike forward of his being was shown while he turned slowly in search of the person still. Maybe it was an auditory trick played on him? It started to irk him now as he stalks forward through the brush that slowly ate him up.
The brush may have ate him up but his mind was still turning over the premise of growing stronger. Harking back to the days of him being such a "supportive" racer back on Velocitron, never really allowed to be more. It just helped the pot heat and grow for the frog sitting in the water, now with gas added to the fire. He was capable! Maybe just as capable as finding out who his new friend was.

The mysterious being listened to the words Redline spoke, practically offended by the comparison. This mech dare compare him to that of an infection? A virus?
No..
The form was much more than that. It silenced itself for a mere moment in order to recollect itself. A virus it may not be, but there was room for growth. Perhaps.. if strong enough it could spread it's reach.
"I assure you.. I am no virus. I've no need to destroy from the inside out as a mindless plague. I will help you grow stronger, prove yourself to be more than what those who oppose you would say. Perhaps.. even as far as to usurp your suppressors.." The form continued to boast to Redline, trying to sway him with words it felt would garner his trust. It was all it needed. Redline would act in it's stead, and Redline would gain the power he so desired.
Symbiotic... or was it? Perhaps the form was more sinister than it let on. The mech would never know.
"But if you must call me by anything.." It paused, thinking of a name for itself.
"Let it be... Sideways."

A promise of growth and power. That somewhat warmed him up to the voice in his head, even causing the polearm to lower and brush aside the vegetation at foot for easier traversing. A path carved away by a weapon. Would Redline become a weapon for this voice to walk an easier path?
"Dog of war I am, yet even dogs bite owners. If pushed beyond." His optics scanned the forestry around him, gazing and wondering if anyone else listened in on him. Though his vague threat wasn't entirely directed to Sideways, more so to those in charge of him. Those that were so high of themselves and sought to further their positions and solidify them while the lackies would be used as cannon fodder.
Any more thoughts of those higher ups would lead to his knuckles creaking under duress. "Redline is my name" One of the few instances he broke his habit. It didn't quite feel right for him to speak in such a manner nor was it to speak to someone and yet... no one.
A noise in the distance and he turned quickly to scan the area! Just deer... He has been out here long enough and soon enough he was twomping back to the road to shift back into vehicular form to hide away in plain sight.
Rubber hitting pavement and soon he sped off around the corners.
