Transformers Prime: Convergence is a plot and character-development driven roleplay forum based upon canon material of TFP and RiD, but incorporates characters, elements, and plotlines from various other continuities to craft a unique story. Our community is welcoming, laid back, and dedicated to making each roleplay experience a good one.

As our main plot kicks off, characters will now begin to notice the various continuity errors that litter our storyline. Continuity errors encompass any and all divergences of our forum storyline from canon due to The Convergence. For a summary of what these continuity errors entail and what the Continuity Error Forecast is, please look here for more information.
This thread was created for the express purpose of brainstorming and discussing the various continuity errors involving our characters. In theory, any errors discussed here would also be fair game for characters to notice in-character during roleplay. What major incongruencies between the ‘main’ timeline and our divergent timeline do you think would crop up? Are they major or minor? Would they cause problems for your characters?
Alright, lets get creative! I have a few suggestions for some of my characters~
Optimus: Where did his new bulky armor come from, where did it go? He also has plenty of scratches or dents that were not there before.. So maybe he went out fighting? But he hasn't.
Soundwave: Many have stated what his voice sounds like. Very different opinions from each person you ask. This Convergence happenings are allowing everyone to hear a Universe B Soundwave and another to hear Universe ↨ Soundwave. Everyone is correct, yet wrong at the same time. Lets make it a running gag that Soundwave has spoken when he hasn't at all. There is still his unknown growing affection to Minicons and the innocent, perhaps it was there before serious changes happened during the war?
Rotor: Still need to figure something out for this gal
Dreadwing does not remember arriving on Earth clearly, though he has some recollection of attempting to snuff the sparks of two Autobots in revenge for the death of someone important to him, and being chased across the galaxy by the Autobot Wrecker @wheeljack because of it. He has vague memories of grief and profound feelings of loss in association to his twinspark brother @skyquake , though he cannot hope to explain them as his brother is alive and well. On the worst days, he has phantom pains within his spark and chest, and feels uneasy every time he lays eyes upon his Lord and Master’s fusion cannon. Some bots might even be surprised to see him alive. As time goes on and the universe unravels, Dreadwing will become increasingly sensitive to continuity errors.
@moonwing
Moonwing is not Dreadwing's secret love-child and is, in fact, completely unrelated to him. Moonwing is blissfully oblivious to any and all continuity errors, but that does not mean they do not affect her. If, by chance, she should learn of the ‘main’ timeline that was shattered, she would find that the shuttle that carried her younger self and her now-deceased creator had exploded long before it reached Earth, meaning that no bot of that timeline had ever known of her existence. Being dead from practically the beginning in the main universe means that most continuity errors slide under the radar as she’s completely unaware of any differences between the two timelines.
@jazz
In this shattered timeline, Jazz and his Conjunx Endura Prowl have both come to Earth on the ship The Sigma that they ‘borrowed’ from a Decepticon-controlled planet a while back. Whether or not Jazz and Prowl had become Conjunx in the ‘main’ timeline or that they had stolen a ship is unknown, but Jazz had not been present until much later, and when he’d appeared, he had been utterly alone, suggesting the loss of his best friend and partner. He sometimes feels the occasional feeling that he ought to be missing something, but he has no idea what, and unconsciously seeks out Prowl when it happens as if to reassure his subconscious that all is well. Jazz knows there's something not right about things, and, being naturally observant, can pick out some of the more obvious continuity errors, but there are some things that just go right over his head.
@wheeljack
After fellow Wrecker Seaspray got snuffed by @dreadwing , Wheeljack chased him across the galaxy in order to avenge his brother in arms and return the favor. He doesn’t remember a clear point when he arrived on Earth, however, nor does he really remember formally meeting everyone in the Autobot Base, but figures he must’ve at some point. One particular mystery for Wheeljack is the events Ratchet often refers to, the mission they went on together at some point but the details of which are fuzzy and obscure for the Wrecker. He can only recall a few ambiguous details (such as the knowledge that they had been in a forest searching for something, and a grenade had been involved) but chalks up the memory issues as a side-effect of energon loss and doesn’t bring it up often. His sensitivity to continuity errors is mid-range but he picks up the ones most related to himself or Ratchet more easily.
@toolbox
Having joined the main timeline so late in the game, it is no wonder that few bots even know of Toolbox’s existence. There are few continuity errors associated with this little minicon purely due to the fact that his role in the first universe had been so insignificant, but as his story unfolds, divergences are more easily noticed. A major continuity error thus far would have been his fateful encounter with the Decepticon Soundwave , whose secretive actions in helping Toolbox escape Decepticon captivity to find the Autobots almost assuredly saved his life. Toolbox is completely unaware of continuity errors.

Prowl – Prowl has been either MIA or KIA for millennia in the original timeline. In our Convergence, no one but his partner can really say what exactly happened to him after the Great Exodus. Seeing him safe and sound should raise many questions. Because of the nitpicky nature of his systems and programs, he is very sensitive to continuity errors but dismisses them as illogical and impossible at first; the more obvious they become, the more of a strain they will put on his processors.
@skyquake – In the original timeline, Skyquake died not an hour after awakening from his stasis on Earth, so he has no idea about continuity errors regarding things that happened after he went under. That leaves him out of the loop a lot. He sometimes feels something’s wrong, but only because of his twin’s emotions bleeding through the bond. Other characters may wonder about his being awake—or downright being alive! The details of the mission that landed him on Earth for millennia are also spotty at best.
Ratchet remembers all of his time back on Cybertron, especially his time at the Delphi Medical Facility on Messatine where he spent time under the tutelage of @pharma . While he remembers going back to Cybertron during break from his teachings and taking in @strongarm , his memories of the event itself are a bit hazy. Not only this, but he recalls a mission in the forest with @wheeljack , but can't seem to remember what it was they had gone for to begin with. He's chalking this all up to old age, but is it really? His sensitivity to the continuity errors is mid-range, but mostly picks up on the ones involving himself, Wheeljack, and Strongarm.
@smokescreen
Smokescreen has absolutely no clue where this Phase Shifter came from, but he's not complaining! While he does pick up on things that don't seem quite right because of continuity errors, he has a bad habit of just shrugging it off if it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on him. He remembers many things, including his lessons about the Iacon Relics. What strikes him odd is that there are now relics in existence that he didn't learn about. Did Alpha Trion forget to tell him about them, or were there relics even he didn't know about?
Hot Shot, being a newcomer to this whole thing, isn't picking up on many continuity errors at all if any. What he doesn't realize is he never originally made it to Earth, and had spent his time fighting stray Decepticons out in space. While things do strike him as odd from time to time, he isn't able to determine if it's just an odd feeling he's having or if it's just the norm around here.
Surprisingly, Grimlock's very sensitive to continuity errors, but he's not able to pick out just what is wrong and what is making him feel like something isn't right. He doesn't notice things right away, but once he starts to get the sneaking suspicion that something isn't right, he's find things wrong all over the place. Thankfully, Grimlock hasn't been able to detect anything just yet, and he can rest easy for the moment.
@steeljaw
Steeljaw is by no means sensitive to continuity errors, or at least he doesn't let it show. To be honest, Steeljaw doesn't care so long as he can achieve his own goals by the end of the day. Perhaps there is some way of changing his views?
Like Grimlock, Sari is very sensitive to continuity errors. She knows something isn't right, but she doesn't know what it is. She swears that Crown City isn't the name of the city she lives in, but everyone around her swears that it is. Her body has already been upgraded, but she doesn't recall ever upgrading herself, let alone the fact that she's part Cybertronian. She honestly believes that she is 100% human, but in time she will discover that isn't the case.
Alright, I've been thinking of a few things regarding the time-space-contimumium convergence of multiple realities, like all you have. Only I thought perhaps these things could apply to all characters. I'll probably have this happen to mine, but perhaps--*puts on brainstorming cap*
Language:
Different realities are coming together, and in those alternate dimensions, perhaps our characters spoke Primal Vernacular, or were fluent in other variants. Perhaps old languages long forgotten, or once used by the Primes could start to replace the modern NeoCybex that all transformers speak currently(or the english human Ocs speak) perhaps the universe would start mixing up languages of different races in general, one day a Cybertronian could wake up speaking in jewish, while a human is talking in ancient cybertronian.
Portal instability:
Just a thought, but it seems to make sense that as the universes themselves get warped, actual warping would get harder. Space bridging over long distances could cause more gaps in the universe/ make more damage as the space bridge is in a forcing a doorway from one place to another into existence. This maybe could cause rpers going through portals to feel hazy, perhaps a few flashbacks of what should really be their predicament (for instance, some OCs or canon characters are here, regardless of the fact they're supposed to be dead, or non existent. Maybe they could get a seconds glimpse of what should have really been the final chapter of their life's story).
Artifact melding:
Just pure speculation on this one. As in this is the sketchiest of my ideas. The artifacts are powerful things, they enable users (with permission of the admins of course, but for example) rip holes in time and space (terminus blade), phase through walls(Phaseshifter), or be the jedi we all knew Magneto could be. (Gauntlet). Perhaps overtime, as a role-player uses an artifact, it could start to become a part of them. Rather than have to pull a trigger, they could simply activate the artifacts with a thought.
Natuarally, there's a catch: They're subject to intense 'universal' errors, and or get tired much much quicker. Alternatively, their tool could become so much a part of them that they suffer greatly form it in this sense: whoever wears the Phaseshifter for example could be cursed to forever be phasing through things, and be unable to control what 'phase' he's in. The Terminus blade could start to make someone go insane, or switch persanilities with an alternate version of themselves, such as shattered glass, or any other continuity.
--This one's still sorta sketchy like I said. Just brainstorming though.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the idea of Artifact melding quite yet, but I am absolutely on board for some strange language happenings and portal shenanigans. I especially really, really like the idea of instability in ground and space bridges as the Convergence begins to ramp up - perhaps in the beginning, the bridges could spit out their unexpecting travellers at the wrong coordinates, or chucking them into the Shadow Zone that Undead!Skyquake was trapped in in the show. This would mean that everyone would have to travel under their own power to the places they need to be.
To be honest Counterklock , the latter was a last-minute scrapped together idea. Really, I'm iffy on it as well at the moment. Though, there's nothing tinkering can't do....
On other notes, the idea of having some ground bridges lead to the shadow zone would definitely be cool. Thanks for replying to my ideas. Ground bridges spazzing to different and incorrect coordinates could totally lead up to more and more fights. Like maybe there could be occasional threads where a bot accidentally gas into the Nemesis, and has to punch their way out, (or die) and likewise with Decepticons into the Autobot base. of course, there could be negotiations of if anyone would attain any info, or if they want the whole thing to happen just for funnies, and have their char tortured and or brainwashed, interrogated---
