"Oh officer, you aren't thinking of arresting me, are you?" Swindle remarked, stepping out from behind cover, visibly unarmed. He sauntered about the cave, keeping his gaze locked on Bumblebee. "After all, I haven't been on the Decepticon Registry in stellar cycles; and I'd hate to have you brought up on charges of profiling an innocent bot like me."
The Combaticon stopped in the center of the cavern, where he'd previously held a holo-conference. "But if you're so keen on leaving, why not just turn around and do so? I promise I'll follow right behind you!" For all intents and purposes, he was trying to disarm Bumblebee with a smile. It didn't matter whether or not it was working however, as Swindle would be long gone shortly.
Bumblebee's optics focused on Swindle and continued to follow him as he moved about the cavern. "Not on any registry? Seriously?" Bumblebee responded in disbelief as he carefully followed Swindle's movements, occasionally shifting his footing so he remained between Swindle and Sari just in case something did happen. "You have a rap sheet longer than half the prisoners on the Alchemor. And should I even bother reminding you what you and your fellow Combaticons have done over the course of the war?" The lieutenant countered.
Swindle was unarmed, for the moment. Had the Decepticon really come down in the tunnels with no intentions of meeting trouble? That was a little out of place, even for someone like Swindle. But, Bumblebee still refrained from outright attacking the mech, otherwise he might as well call himself a dirty cop then and there. "How about I just guide you out of here in stasis cuffs instead, so I know for certain you're in my sights." Bumblebee spoke firmly, moving even closer, "And that means remaining right where you are Combaticon." Bumblebee ordered, moving into the center of the cavern with narrowed optics, resting his hands on the stasis cuffs now.
He was taking a risk being so close, only his Decepticon Hunter in hand in its spear state. Because at this rate, anything could happen.
Maybe it was the fact that Swindle was a Decepticon, but Sari just did not get a good feeling about this.
It was kinda in the name, wasn't it?
Sari watched as the two continued to talk, Bumblebee moving closer in order to put stasis cuffs on Swindle. At least he was holding on to his Decepticon Hunter just in case, but who could really say what Swindle was going to do. Her eyes narrowed, staring down the Decepticon before making a gesture with her hand. Using her pinky and index finger, she pointed directly at her eyes, then turned them to point straight at the mech.
If he tried to pull anything funny, she'd attempt to warn Bumblebee before anything happened. There were no promises she'd be successful, but she wanted to do what she could to help.
Hey, at least she was staying back like the kid appeal bot said to.
Swindle's beaming smile was a dead giveaway. The Decepticon outstretched his hands so that Bumblebee may cuff him, it seemed. He had no real willingness to let himself be captured by the Autobots, but any excuse to get his would-be captor closer was worth it. He was practically giddy as the stasis cuffs were nearly wrapped around his wrists. And then, he took a moment to speak. "You know I'd actually be happy to go with you, Bumblebee. If you'd read me my rights first."
He winked, ceremoniously.
Then, Swindle's chest compartment slid open to reveal the gatling laser embedded within. It shot out of his chest in a nano-second, spewing out blasts of violet energy at the Autobot auto-cop. It was all just a diversion, of course. The main surprise was almost ready.
That grin...it made Bumblebee rather unnerved. Swindle was known by his name for a reason and his instincts were screaming for him to back off, to take Swindle down now. But, he had to trust that his instincts maybe he could prevent something from happening before it did.
Bumblebee's optics remained fixed on those purple ones of Swindle's, his grin still making the lieutenant nervous to his core. Maybe it was just because of the Combaticon's reputation, that was all. But, warnings were going off at the back of his mind as he began to close the stasis cuffs around Swindle's wrists...until Swindle's cryptic words made him freeze suddenly. "Now hold on a minute, I..." Bumblebee abruptly cut off the moment the mech's chest compartment suddenly opened, revealing a gatling laser that caused his optics to widen slightly. Not good!
The violet colored energy hit Bumblebee's armor as he rolled away by reflex, wincing as it still left some scorch marks but nothing too serious. He had rolled and was right back on his feet, his blasters in his arms shifting out from his free hand, "You're definitely not going anywhere Swindle!" Bumblebee growled, static once more lacing his voice as he fired towards Swindle's feet, trying to force him back or trip up the Combaticon.
Sari watched as Bumblebee was about to cuff Swindle, but she wasn't able to warn Bee in time before he was shot at with the chest cannon.
"BUMBLEBEE!!"
Her eyes widened as he took the hit, but thankfully he was still able to fight. Even just hearing his voice, the Autobot had taken a harsh blow, and definitely needed to be careful. All she could do was stay back and out of the way for Bumblebee's sake, but it wasn't something she wanted to do. If she could find some way of distracting Swindle, then maybe she could help the yellow one win this fight with a bit more ease.
..Then again he would be a bit mad about that wouldn't he? He was already unhappy that she was here.
Swindle smiled that wicked Swindle smile as his shots hit Bumblebee square in the chest. Might not have been enough to knock him down for good, but it sure felt great. He quickly pulled the weapon back into his chest compartment, swapping it out for the massive cannon that transformed over his right arm. The good ol' null cannon, always a favorite for a veteran Decepticon. Swindle unloaded the massive weapon on the Autobots, spraying explosive blasts that shook the walls of the cavern.
"You're damn right I'm not going anywhere!" he cryptically and enthusiastically responded, darting backwards to evade the incoming fire in the meantime. His plan did indeed involve him not leaving the cave, at least not in a normal sense. In a few moments, nobody but the humble arms dealer would be leaving at all; but, there was no need to tell Bee and Sari that.
"Oh miss Sumdac, I don't take kindly to backseat brawling!" he chanted back, shooting Sari a pouting look while attempting to blast her best friend to bits.
Bumblebee was now on the defensive, kicking himself for not following his gut instinct that something was off. He should have known better by now. He had more than learned that Decepticons never came quietly, there was always something they had up their sleeve and he hadn't been cautious enough. Looks like he would have to rectify that and take Swindle out before he cuffed him this time.
The yellow and black muscle car ducked and dodged the blasts that came his way, following with firing right back towards the Decepticon who was equally evading his blaster fire. "Focus on me slime ball, or you'll be leaving out of here in pieces." Bumblebee growled, stepping forward and putting more blaster fire towards Swindle's direction before an eerie cracking sound suddenly made Bumblebee's door wings go up. He knew that sound, and that was never a good sound. Not that the young mech had a chance to figure out where it was coming from, a part of the cavern wall and ceiling coming down from the force of the blasts from the null cannons weakening the area around the rocks.
A surprised sound left Bumblebee, who was crushed beneath the debris from the upper back and down, most of his body pinned down by the weight. He shook his head as the dust settled, wincing from some pain from the crushed areas and struggling to move, to no avail. "No, slag it!" He cursed under his breathe, unable to move much more than a single hand and his head, leaving him trapped and vulnerable. "Sari get out of here! Get help!" Bumblebee called over to her, his optics focusing back on Swindle, trying to get his one hand not completely covered freed.
Sari stared in horror as Bumblebee took the hit and was pinned down by the rock slide. He was in serious danger, and she was the only other one here. The bit of regret in following along was sinking in now that she could finally see the dangers the kid appeal mech spoke of previously, but who else was going to be able to help? She could call for the others, but how long would it take for them to get here?
Bee could be killed by then!
While Bumblebee wanted her to go and get help, there was a part of her that stopped her from doing so. She reasoned with herself that it was because of her line of thinking, not wanting to leave her friend. However.. Swindle could very well harm her. She was just a human after all!
"I'm not leaving you, Bumblebee!" Without thought, she went rushing forward in a futile attempt to help the trapped one. Sari panted a bit, but then her eyes began to light up. As her eyes brightened, her hands transformed just as before. The fingers extended far further than they ever should, now displaying the mechanical protoform underneath. Her palms vanished, and in their place were a pair of circular energy projectors. The teenager didn't think, but rather just did as energy crackled around her and a tremendous ball of energy sent shock waves not just in Swindle's direction, but in Bumblebee's as well. If anything it might help dislodge some of the rocks, but there was the chance that it could worsen his situation.
The teenager finally stopped running, her eyes returning to normal. She looked down at her transformed hands, honestly terrified by what had just happened, and yet.. at the same time?
If she could figure this power out just enough, she could help Bumblebee fight!
Nature itself had delivered Swindle his victory, smiling wickedly as a chunk of rock smashed into Bumblebee, leaving him incapacitated. Maybe he'd actually over prepared for this fight, since by all intents and purposes it was over now. He heard the Autobot's cries for Sari to leave, and get help, slowly walking towards the pair of them with his main cannon charged. "Don't be such a sore loser, Bumblebee. I won fair and square!"
Swindle watched as Sari ignored Bee's advice in a futile attempt to free him from his rocky confinement. It brought a tear to his metaphorical eye. As a reward for her brave efforts, the Decepticon raised his weapon at the both of them, the barrel already pouring out a soft purple glow. "Don't worry Miss Sumdac, you won't have to leave Bumblebee. In just a few moments, you'll be following him anyway!"
Just before the null cannon fired, Swindle found himself blown backwards from a sudden and unexpected burst of raw energy. He tumbled to a halt, bringing his pink optics back up to peer at Sumdac in disbelief. Was that an energon blast? From a human? Whatever it was, it made Swindle mad. He pushed himself off the cavern floor, re-aiming his weapon, "Nice trick kid, but all you've done is delay the inevitable!"
"Sari!" Bumblebee yelled with fear flashing in his optics that she would indeed not only be harmed but killed in her attempts to save him. What would her father say if she didn't come back? What would the others say if they found them both lifeless in a cavern? These and other thoughts raced through his processor as he stared at the glowing purple energy, tensing as he awaited for the blast to come...only for something strange to happen with Sari.
He watched in amazement as her eyes suddenly glowed and her hands transformed in front of his optics. Not that he had a chance to process what was happening as she began releasing shockwaves of raw energy, causing Bumblebee to grunt as not only was the debris knocked back but so was he, allowing him to come free but not without getting some dents and scratches for his trouble. And he was pretty sure one of his door wings had been damage from the fallen debris. Some more rocks fell from the already collapsed part of the cavern, but this time Bumblebee was able to move it off his form and pushed himself up, wincing as he moved. Yea, something was definitely damaged.
Now the he was freed, his first though was to check on Sari, quickly turning his gaze on her, finding her in shock but otherwise unharmed. 'Long as she isn't hurt.' Was his first thought. Her sudden revealing of being capable of transforming would have to wait another time. They had a Decepticon to still worry about, Swindle being too damn stubborn to take the hint.
"Yea, your inevitable arrest." Bumblebee spoke harshly as he charged forward towards Swindle before his weapon could have the chance to charge this time, aiming to ram shoulder first into the Combaticon.
Once Sari was aware of what even happened, she eventually moved her eyes from her hands to the scene before her. Not only had the tremor freed Bumblebee from underneath the rubble, but she had also managed to knock Swindle off his very own pedes!
Whatever this was, however she got it, there was one thing that she really knew at the moment. If she could repeat that, or do something along the lines, she and Bumblebee could definitely defeat this money loving Decepticon. He fear suddenly shifted into a wicked grin, looking straight at Swindle. "Two against one now! Do you think you can handle the both of us?"
...what was she even getting herself into? The thought that maaaybe that tremor had been some freak accident thing and she might not even be able to replicate the attack a second time never crossed her mind.
As Bumblebee charged at the Decepticon, the teenager took a moment to try and get those powers working again. "Powers. Powers. C'mon, do something!" She tried the whole 'focus all the energy' thing, and that seemed to do the trick, but definitely not in the form of another shock wave. In the palm of her hand now sat an energy ball roughly the size of a dinner plate. Chucking it, she hurled the energy ball right at Swindle.
The blast from his cannon went wild as Bumblebee tackled into Swindle, knocking them both over in the process. This was getting worse, and sooner or later he'd be forced to activate his last resort. It usually worked if the people assailing him were none the wiser. Swindle still had time before then, though. For the whole plan to work, he needed to get his hands on Sari. Hostages usually expedited the process quite nicely.
Swindle grunted as he struggled to get Bumblebee off of him, first by attempting to force him off by kicking the Autobot in the torso, then by jamming the pair of stun rods he kept hidden right in the copper's optics. Or at least close enough. "Oh don't you worry... miss Sumdac, I've handled worse than--"
Swindle's bravado was cut short as a tiny little energy blast hit him square in the jaw, throwing his mojo out of whack.
Bumblebee refused to let go of Swindle, struggling with the arms dealer and trying to pin him down once more. But, despite Swindle's reputation, he wasn't a pushover and the yellow and black mech knew better than to relax any effort to arrest the Combaticon. Not that Bumblebee was about to relent either, even taking that kick to his torso that did little to deter the lieutenant, "Just give it up already Swindle! This will go-" The stun rods were more than enough to make Bumblebee give a small yell and rear back.
Stepping back a few feet, the muscle car had to rub his optics, shaking his head to get them to focus once more. But a pair of stun rods close to the optics wasn't exactly the best sensation. 'Maybe I should have brought back up after all, maybe Strongarm would have been a bigger help than doing this myself.' The young mech thought, figuring this mission would have been something simple. But he should have known better, nothing was ever that simple.
Hearing the abrupt end of Swindle's words, Bumblebee turned his head to the noise until his optics could focus. "Nice shot." He commented towards Sari, blinking his optics a few times until the came back full focus. "One more try." He muttered as he drew his Decepticon hunter which extended into his favored spear weapon, "Final time I'm saying this Swindle, give up now."
Sari beamed with excitement, so much pride filling her as Bumblebee complimented her for hitting Swindle with her attack. Sure it wouldn't do too much to him aside from distracting the Decepticon, but it was enough of a distraction for Bumblebee to try and subdue the guy. She was definitely helping, even if she was just learning about these weird powers or whatever was going on with her.
"You better stay down, Swindle. I've got more of those, uh.. energy balls where those came from!"
The redhead didn't seem to sure of herself for a brief moment as she attempted to describe what she'd even thrown at the mech, making another energy ball and holding it as a threat in case Swindle tried anything.
