25.5.16
Welcome to Transformers Prime: Convergence! The Administrative Team (That is to say, Jim and I) are eternally grateful to all of you who have joined us on our site and hope that your roleplaying time here is a good one. Please be advised that our Main Plot will not be formally kicked off until June, so as to allow everyone enough time to settle in.
We have made some additions to The Rules that are outlined below. Major additions include a statement of LGBTQA+ inclusiveness, a more detailed policy on the zero-tolerance of discrimination, a policy on denial of character applications and new members, and the importance of communication in roleplay:
We are an LGBTQA+ friendly forum with staff and community members in the queer community and encourage members to think of this forum as an inclusive, safe space. As such, we have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment with regards to sexuality and gender identity. Please feel free to provide your own preferred pronouns in the Profile section, and please abide by the pronouns given by others. Purposeful misgendering of community members will not be tolerated.Harassment and bullying will not be tolerated. This includes and encompasses discrimination on the grounds of age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, pregnancy, religious belief, class or social background, sexual orientation or political belief. We reserve the right to deny applications for characters (and new members) if we feel that they are not a good fit for our community. Our number one priority is creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming community, and our duty to our existing community. Denial of applications will only happen in extremely extenuating circumstances.Communication is vitally important in roleplay, and essential to ensure misunderstandings do not arise. Do not make assumptions about the thoughts of other people! It is advised that members chat about their ideas for a roleplay with their fellow roleplay members. If clarification on a concept or a phrase from a post is needed, please politely approach the other person in question. The majority of misunderstandings can be cleared up easily with a private message conversation. When in doubt, ask!
Additonally, a new section has been added in to the How To Get Started Guide regarding the creation of in-character threads. Thank you to the community members who brought up this issue! I hope that we have cleared it up:
When making an in-character thread in the designated boards, please note that the forum follows a specific system when it comes to creating new threads for roleplay. The first post of a thread will bring up a form to fill in, which includes ‘Subject’, ‘Location’, ‘Characters Involved’, ‘Content Warnings’, and ‘Plot Summary’. This first post is intended to provide a contextual background for the thread, detailing the characters participating (preferably tagged with the @[username] system to notify those users), where the thread mainly takes place, any content warnings involved, and a brief plot summary, which can be as specific or as vague as you please.
Thank you all for your input over the past few weeks! We very much appreciate it. If you have any feedback for us at all, feel free to send a PM our way!
