Player Alias:
Kavac
Character Name:
Chromia
Allegiance:
Autobot
Appearance Description:
Blue, and lots of it. Besides her favorite color, Chromia is most often characterized by her strong, no-nonsense appearance. She is about the average height of other Camiens, which translates to being above average compared to Cybertronian femmes. A pair of rear wheels are prominently displayed behind both of her shoulders, while her second pair adorn her legs. When in her robot mode, Chromia's form is accented by red motifs on her arms, hips, shoulders and legs. Aside from that, her frame is also marked with white and gray secondary colors.
Since traveling to Earth to locate her Amica Endura, Windblade, Chromia has taken the Earth-based alt mode of a blue Koenigsegg Agera R.
Personality:
Tough as nails doesn't even begin to describe Chromia's personality; in fact, a new ultra durable element would need to be synthesized to compare how tough this Autobot is. Her attitude stems from her career as both an enforcer and officer on her homeworld of Caminus, warranting her deceptively fierce exterior. On the inside however, Chromia is quite compassionate and thoughtful, although this side of her is rarely shown to anyone outside of her Amica Endurae.
While she may be an official Autobot, Chromia's loyalties ultimately lay with the mission given to her by the Mistress of Flame, to protect Windblade. Chromia's cynicism frequently clashes with Windblade's optimistic views about truth and duty. Long story short, Chromia's trust is a rare commodity.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
+++Master Swordsman - Camiens are known throughout space to be naturally talented with a blade, but few among them can match Chromia's skill. Said skills have made her a deadly melee combatant on the battlefield, to enemies of any size.
+Instructor - There's always a thing or two you could learn from a good teacher, and Chromia is no exception. Not only is she a capable bodyguard, but she frequently teaches them her own techniques to bolster their own combat effectiveness.
++Bodyguard - This mission comes first, even if that mission requires your life in exchange. Chromia is without a doubt an incredibly selfless Autobot, willing to die for those she is sworn to protect.
-Cynical - There's always a catch to any favor. Everyone's in it only for themselves in her eyes, which tends to create a bit of distance between Chromia and her peers.
---At Any Cost - While she is by no means a fanatic, there is nothing Chromia wouldn't do to complete a mission, be it sacrificing her own life or the lives of others. The fact that her job often revolves around having to make such tough decisions also builds walls around her as well.
--Grimacing - Where a more friendly Autobot might use Chromia's abilities to inspire or rally others, she often finds that she intimidates them more often. She's the kind of bot to pop someone in the jaw to inspire 'loyalty' in them, which makes her a poor leader by Autobot standards.
Abilities:
Outlier: Vibration Absorption - The ability to absorb vibrations produced by bursts of kinetic energy has made Chromia quite confident in battle, especially against foes much stronger than her. Her power is nonpassive, meaning it can only be activated when she chooses, and not as a passive defense. Once the vibrations are absorbed, they are channeled and converted into a boost of raw physical strength. While this power serves Chromia well, it has the potential to overwhelm her. Taking a blow from a sufficiently powerful or large opponent can still seriously damage her, but so far this limit has been observed to be prominent at the combiner level. Cannot absorb raw energy, or energy blasts.
Weaponry:
Primeon Blade - A long-hilted sword developed specifically for Chromia by Caminus's master weaponsmiths, the Primeon Blade is a metaphorical extension of her personality. A powerful weapon capable of producing a hard-light broadsword blade, the Primeon Blade possesses the ability to change the size of the blade depending on the user's preference. At it's highest setting, the full length of the blade just barely surpasses Chromia's full standing height. In spite of the weapon's size, Chromia still retains the ability to wield it with a single hand.
Hardlight Shield Casters - A set of energy projectors mounted on Chromia's forearms that are capable of creating hardlight shields of varying sizes, best suited for absorbing energy blasts.
Hyperkinetic Light Blaster - A one-handed blaster adopted by Chromia after joining the larger war against the Decepticons. The Hyperkinetic Light Blaster's primary mode of fire is a white bolt of highly energized photons capable of searing through most forms of armor. Alternatively, the bolt's properties can be changed so that the projectile itself becomes physical. In this hard light state, the bolt is able to rapidly ricochet off of nearly any surface. Even with the blaster's impressive properties, Chromia has relegated it to the role of a secondary weapon.
History:
Created from Caminus's miniature Allspark Well, Chromia served as a law enforcer and subsequently an officer before coming into the personal service of the Mistress of Flame. Her talents were often utilized by both teaching newer generations of Camien warriors, and by protecting important individuals as a bodyguard. Chromia's life was forever changed the day her Mistress assigned her to protect the newest Cityspeaker, Windblade, as she traveled the galaxy on her mission. Unbeknownst to Chromia at the time, her newest charge held the unique ability to push through her tough exterior, and became one of the few bots alive capable of befriending her. Chromia accompanied Windblade in her travels for several stellar megacycles, with their friendship culminating in becoming each other's Amica Endura.
Roughly one thousand years ago, Windblade vanished without a trace, given a secret mission by Primus himself; her now former bodyguard was left devastated. Chromia searched frantically for any trace of her Endura for several hundred years before resigning herself to the fact that she had most likely been lost forever, after which she returned home to Caminus. After the Stunticons and their gestalt form Menasor attacked Caminus in a crime spree, Chromia once again regained a spark of hope after battling them. From them, she learned that an Autobot roughly matching Windblade's description had been seen battling and capturing Decepticons on a world called Earth in the Sol System. Menasor ended up escaping Caminus, but not before he was tracked all the way to Earth by Chromia herself. Her quest renewed, Chromia is currently prowling Earth in the hopes that the rumors were more than rumors, and that Windblade is in fact alive.
