Pharma gave a soft noise. "Thank Primus. Though it doesn't help that you're talking to someone who really doesn't like mornings anyway." Pharma? He was more of a night owl than most bots. He tended to be awake at all hours of the night, even if he seemed exhausted. Not to mention, he was constantly checking up on Sagitta with concern at night. And of course, they'd be safe. They'd be safe for now. He had to believe that or he was going to lose it, and he didn't want to cause Red Rust like he had at Delphi. When he had gotten desperate and went mad.
"I can only hope that they treat her better than they treat me. I'm...not particularly well-liked. Most bots either know about my past, or if they don't, they think I look like an absolute psycho." He then sighed. "I'll just have to show her extra love and hope it's enough to counteract the negativity she's likely to get from her resemblance to me." He had a saddened smile. There were words left unspoken. He had to treat her with extra love because he was going to be in the brig if enough mecha found out about Delphi. Or worse, for that matter. His optics dimmed dully to a dark blue.
I...think I needed that reassurance. I must...I must sound pretty pathetic, needing reassurance that I have the capability to even be a good carrier." He tried to put on a smile but he seemed quite downcast despite everything.

"There is nothing wrong with how you look mech." He was brutally honest, and he absolutely didn't care who knew it. Also, he didn't like how the Autobots were treating this mech. Would that he knew another way to look after Pharma that didn't include joining the blasted Autobot army. "Anyone that treats a sparkling badly because of their creator needs to be shot in the chassis so that their spark explodes." He deadpanned it, a dark growl rumbling out of his frame. He may have been chill at the moment, but he was still a frontline mech. He'd been on the battlefield for ages, and he'd killed before by that exact method.
"The past shapes who we become, but it does not define who we are in the moment. Those who choose to learn from their past mistakes and move forward from it have greater strength than they realize." He looked straight ahead, claws lain against the ground to either side of his frame even as his paranoia screamed at him. "The Autobots are fools. They tolerate the antics of Red Alert, but disdain the eccentricities of one of their medics? It makes no logical sense to me."
He finally stood, well aware that he'd overstayed his welcome but not yet willing to leave. Just a bit longer, perhaps he could impart some sort of sense of composure to the seeker. "The only one whose opinion matters is hers. Your sparkling will love you unto eternity as you helped give her life and provide for her. Others have no right to say how you raise your creation, and nobody can take away the fact that she is yours. Be proud of that fact Pharma."
Barricade vented and turned back to the medic, extending a hand to him and actually daring to curl those lethal claws against his wrist to give the slightest squeeze of comfort before drawing away. "You are not pathetic. All carriers, all creators, worry if they are doing right by their little one. Primus knows I could not do it myself." He stepped further off, crossing an arm across his chassis in a very old form of salute.
"I should probably get out of here. If they come out to shoot me, and shoot you instead, I will do murder." He told the other this cheerfully, having no problem with the fact. "Speak to those that know you, care for those that need you. The rest, well, it will come with time."
