Player Alias: lianawalter
Character Name: Ravage [G1]
Allegiance: Soundwave, Decepticons
Appearance Description: Ravage
Sleek and streamlined, Ravage holds the shape of some form of large feline. As a cassetticon he's a small mech, only about the size of an Earth jaguar from which he takes his shape. His movement is silent and graceful and his frame is a mixture of black, silver, and dark blue. His red optics are deep set in his feline face, flanked by his sharp ears and fangs. Each long limb ends in wicket claws, and his tail is long and whip like.
His altmode is a large cassette, ironically the soundtrack of the Earth movie Cats.
Personality:
Loyal : Ravage is, above all, a loyalist. Loyal to the Decepticon cause, loyal to himself, but most importantly in his life, is his loyalty to Soundwave. Soundwave rules his universe, and he follows him without question. He will follow first the communications officer, then Megatron, then probably Starscream. Beyond Soundwave and Megatron, however, his loyalty is hit and miss.
Quiet : Though capable of speech Ravage prefers non-verbal means of communication when he chooses to expressive himself at all. He's normally quiet and still, acting more like the large cat he has chosen for his form, than the intelligent Cybertronian he is.
Aggressive : Those beyond his circle of loyalty, and all Autobots, will come up to the blunt tip of his claws. He's aggressive and expresses himself through growls and low hisses. Those who ignore his warnings, when he gives them, will find themselves at the end of his razor sharp claws.
Intelligent and Cunning : Though he leans more towards animal instinct, Ravage hides the fact that he is very intelligent. He is always looking for ways to improve himself and can often be found reading when he isn't on some sort of mission. He's crafty and world-wise, understanding the ways to use his small size to make others underestimate him. He's also capable of pretending to be harmless in order to lull his prey into a sense of ease.
Affectionate : Only Soundwave ever really experiences this side of him. He will actively seek the other out to have his head scratched or have a hand passed along his back. He also chooses to sleep primarily near or on the communication's officer, rather than in his cassette form within the others chassis. The flip side to this is that for anyone that bothers him he is fiercely protective of his chosen. After all, cats choose their people.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
Small Size : Ravage can fit into places most others of his kind can't, making him useful for spying and missions that call for more stealthy.
Soundless : When in silent mode Ravage moves without making a single sound. His frame has been specially modified not to even make the normal sounds of hissing joints and shifting plates. This makes disappearing much more easy for him.
Endless patience : This mech can wait literally forever for his prey to show themselves, and will not break under a long wait. He has remained still for many weeks at a time during information gathering missions, and does not fidget or shift.
Bright light : Because Ravage spends most of his time in darkness, bright lights can blind and even momentarily stun him. If it happens during a battle, this can mean his deactivation or even severe damages sustained to his person.
Small Size : Because he's so small, if Ravage were to be stepped on or have someone hit him full force, he would actually be very badly damaged. Though unlike an organic, being stepped on wouldn't likely kill him. He has been stepped on many times over the years, and will probably be stepped on or otherwise damaged by full sized mechs many more times before his life ends.
Abilities:
Skilled Spy
Assassin
Long range communications
Tracker
Weaponry:
Claws and fangs
Small missiles
Blades [he has dozens of them that lay flat over his tail and can be thrown as projection weapons or pulled up for melee combat by way of using his tail as a whip.]
History: Ravage started out as a bodyguard for the Overlords, the Autobots that once ruled Cybertron. He, along with his partner Nightstalker, watched over and protected the Overlords even as their rule devolved into a loose collection of city-states that were in constant conflict as fuel supplies dwindled and the fighting got worse. He followed as they moved their conflicts to the galadtorial rings. It was during an attempt to escort the Overlord he served to safety that he first met Megatron. After realizing the coming end of the way things were done, and witnessing the unneccary death of Nightstalker, Ravage chose to align himself with Megatron, whom he believed would one day unite all under his banner and become the supreme ruler of Cybertron.
Sometime after the start of the war Ravage met Soundwave. His memories of this time are warped and chopped up, but he does remember that Soundwave is who he remains in the Decepticons for, and that due to Soundwave he is treated more like an indivdual than a drone.
His memories vary as to how he arrived on Earth, though he recalls landing somewhere in the Southern hemisphere of the planet where there were many trees and lifeforms, including the jaguar he got his form from.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
Green. It was green everywhere. There were creatures here that hunted him like prey. But they weren't as clever as he was, they weren't as swift. He was lethal, but he was not an animal. These were dumb animals, even predators like him. They didn't have his cunning, they lacked his many eons of experience. And they were the ones that died to his claws over and over again as they tried to prove themselves stronger and better. Ravage knew he had to keep a low profile, and any that saw him had to be destroyed. The few intelligent specimens that caught a glimpse of him referred to him as 'killer jaguar'. He preferred that to them calling down Autobots on his head.
Soon, very soon, he'd find their base. Then he'd use their means to contact the Decepticons. From there he would seek out Soundwave. Soundwave meant safety, meant home, meant stability. And above all else, there was his one true home. The Decepticons were his purpose, but it was at the side of an upright walker, that he truly belonged.
