Spacewarp couldn't turn down a helping hand, especially not while she was in such a compromising state. She wasn't entirely sure how the rest of their day would be going, if at all even. There was a part of her that thought they'd both just agree to never speak of this night again, and move on with their lives; Spacewarp wasn't too keen on that option. She'd enjoyed herself quite a lot over the bit of engex they'd imbibed, but what really mattered was whether or not Silentsky actually had fun as well.
She began to force herself off the floor as Silent offered her hand, "I'm aware of that. You were invisible when we first met." Though she normally wouldn't have found such a remark to be amusing, Spacewarp grinned at it regardless. Just as she managed to prop herself up on her knees she froze, audials processing Silent's last line. For some reason or another, Spacewarp's visor had slid down while she was recharging, and had only come to notice it now.
The Seeker slowly brought her hand up to slide the tinted visor back up, leaving her to stare back at Silentsky with wide optics. "Y-you don't?" She didn't regret it? She didn't regret it. A wave of relief washed over her spark all at once, now unburdened by a once-heavy coating of self-doubt. Spacewarp tilted her head back down, and laughed a light and relieved laugh.
Spacewarp took pause to crane her head back up to Silent, finding herself unable to help smiling back at the shorter seeker. With a grunt she managed to exert enough effort to bring her to a kneel, folding her arms over her knee. "Silent... you don't need to apologize. If anything, I'd be the one apologizing. I went and turned a nice little drink between friends into... kissing you," she continued, somewhat trailing off towards the end due to her inability to put it more eloquently.
A few short moments later and Spacewarp had finally stood back up, although not without a few wobbles. That shy wing-twitch, the bashful optic movements; Spacewarp took note. She didn't want Silent to turn invisible around her anymore, metaphorically. She knew that Silent couldn't just switch off her social anxiety on the grounds of asking for it, as much as she wanted to see her express herself more. Spacewarp stared for a few moments, before she finally worked up the courage to speak.
"I liked... loved this," she said with the utmost sincerity. "I like seeing you so confident, and unafraid. I'd tell you to keep drinking if I wasn't afraid you'd pick it up like a bad habit." Spacewarp laughed herself off the end of the statement, nervously rubbing the back of her neck. "I... I know that putting up walls around yourself helps to block out that... background pain, but this," Spacewarp paused, reaching to clasp both of Silent's hands. As noticeable as the difference in size was, she nevertheless brought them up in front of her chest to squeeze them gently. "This was beautiful." She wouldn't have asked on account of half-knowing the answer, but Spacewarp had figured a femme like Silentsky hadn't opened up like this in a while, or ever. To be present to witness such an event was like watching a sunrise, without feeling the heat.
Silentsky couldn't help turning her face away once more, a small grin forming at remembering how they met. She had, quite literally, run right into Spacewarp, having not seen the larger seeker when she had been coming around the corner. As a result, here they were.
"I-I suppose ordinarily, in this situation, any bot probably should. I mean, I know we barely know one another after all." Silentsky stammered a little, hoping she wasn't pressing her luck with anything. Or, just making Spacewarp uncomfortable at all. Before she could linger on such a thought, Spacewarp's relieved laugh made her relax again and the last bit of her lingering nervousness finally seemed to be washed away completely from her own relief. At least her larger companion seemed to not mind. In fact, from her words, it seemed Spacewarp had the exact same concerns as she did. Hopefully, those would be laid to rest for both of them.
Once Spacewarp was finally back up though, the smaller seeker stepped back only slightly, occasionally reaching out to help keep Spacewarp balanced due to wobbling a few times. But, she merely smiled and shook her head. "You went in for a kiss, missed it by a mile." She teased lightly, tapping the spot her companion had kissed first on further on the side of her helm. "I just somehow drunkenly guided you for a proper kiss." She chuckled sheepishly, her wings giving another bashful flick since, when she thought about it, was really her first time kissing anyone.
When Spacewarp said she had loved the exchange and time they had spent together, Silentsky was actually left rather...well, quiet and at a loss for words. Truth be told, being confident, unafraid, forward, that normally was not her, not without incentive or unless she had gotten comfortable around someone. And surprisingly, Spacewarp had brought that side out faster than anyone she had ever met which made this, admittedly, special moment for Silentsky, even if she never admitted it out loud. "Spacewarp, I'd be lying if I said you seem to just have this effect, something about you just makes me feel...comfortable, at ease. Putting down those walls was nice for once, even if its difficult not to hide behind them and a cloaking field." Silentsky told her, giving a light squeeze of her own to the hands clasping her own. "I can't guarantee you'll see this side of me all the time, but I'm glad I got to share this night with you." Her own voice was sincere, and her shy smile became more of a real, genuine smile at that.
"If you also don't mind, I would...like to spend a little while longer with you, until we're needed elsewhere that is." Silentsky inquired hopefully, being in no hurry to leave even after things had settled.
Spacewarp's spark softened up at hearing how she hadn't badly screwed up their evening, relief at a job well done. Hearing Silent continue to talk about their experience only melted her down faster, in only the sweetest of ways.
Like she'd said before, it was beautiful; all of it.
As if she couldn't feel any happier, Silent vocalized her request. Against all definitions of Cybertronian mechanobiology, Spacewarp's spark began to burn a few degrees brighter. It was even better that she really wasn't needed anywhere for a few hours, at least. All she'd be doing would be spending the day with a charming femme like Silent.
"Oh... of course! You're more than welcome to, but..."
She began to trail off towards the end of her agreement, a long buried thought having tunneled it's way back to the surface. Silentsky had been incredibly brave to open up to her like that, granted she was more than a little inebriated at the time. Yet, she reaffirmed her actions while sober. Spacewarp had no recourse but to lower her own walls, as well.
She wanted to go further, and this had to be the first step to doing so.
"I appreciate you being so open around me, Silent," she started, a small smile curling on her lips. Spacewarp quickly dispelled the look; she had to be completely serious for this next part.
"But I don't feel like I've reciprocated it... truly reciprocated it. Which is what I plan to do right now... if you can keep a secret, that is."
When Spacewarp said she was welcome to stay, Silentsky couldn't recall the last time she had felt such joy in her spark. In fact, she couldn't recall the last time she was actually...happy or content. It had felt like forever since she had remotely considered allowing herself to open up to anyone at all, or being close to anyone in general. Being close had gotten someone dear to her killed and it had been less than welcoming among the Decepticon ranks. So, to say the least, it felt nice having that feeling again.
The "but" at the end though made her look curiously at Spacewarp. Was there something more Spacewarp had on her mind?
The seriousness Spacewarp showed made Silentsky's optic ridges furrow slightly. "Spacewarp, you have done more than you can imagine to reciprocate what I've said or done." She assured her, gently taking one of her hands from Spacewarp's grip and placing it on her cheek plate. But she still nevertheless smiled and nodded, "But yes, I can keep a secret. What is on your processor?" She inquired.
Instinctively, Spacewarp reached her own hand up to rest atop Silent's. What she was about to do next was no small task for her, pun intended. She took the next few moments to look back into her companion's optics, knowing just how fortunate she was to be the only living spark to have a front row seat to them. That gaze was the only thing reassuring her that everything would turn out right in the end, at least in regards to what she was about to do.
"When I said I was cold constructed before, I lied; I was forged."
"But, that's not all..."
Before Silent could even muster a response at all, the color drained from Spacewarp's face. Her crimson optics went black just as the expression on her face faded into a neutral, blank stare. All of this was accompanied by a low and quiet tone, slowly bleeding off until there was nothing but silence between the two of them.
A sharp hiss broke the silence, though Spacewarp was still quite frozen. The sounds of machinery being adjusted echoed outwards, though without a discernible source.
A pair of rather small pedes landed on the cold ground just behind the taller Seeker, slowly walking around her to come into full view.
A short, gold and black coated femme stood next to Spacewarp's form, her shoulders bearing a pair of Decepticon insignia's with two chevrons layered behind each. Sunstreaker took a breath before she looked back up to Silentsky, who was much taller than she remembered just a mere few moments ago.
Before Silentsky could say it didn't matter if she was cold constructed, like herself, or forged and that it didn't change anything. She was left in further shock as color left Spacewarp's face and her optics darkened to black. "Spacewarp?" Silentsky asked with concern, initially not understanding what was happening only able to move back somewhat.
The hiss made her jump slightly, wings going up in alarm, trying to understand what was happening right now. She could only stare at what appeared to be an offlined Spacewarp, searching for signs of where that noise was coming from until she heard a pair of pedes land from behind the larger seeker. In fact, the pedes sounded far smaller than the larger seeker or even herself, making her tilt her head in wonder watching the much, much smaller femme reveal herself.
Her alarm quickly turned to surprise and awe, her processor clicking in what was going on here after a few moments. "This is an unforeseen turn." Silentsky admitted as she knelt down in front of Sunstreaker, now making her feel like the giant between them. For a moment she was trying to search her processor for the right words for this phenomenon, having heard such a thing mentioned in passing but never having witnessed it for herself. Finally it struck her, "So, you're a loadbearer." She held nothing but intrigue in her tone, eyeing the smaller femme with deep curiosity in her green optics and smile once more forming on her face plates.
"Do I still call you Spacewarp, or do you go by another name?" She inquired, moving to sitting crosslegged, and trying very hard not to just immediately embrace Sunstreaker.
It had probably been at least over a million years since Sunstreaker had ever stepped out of her armor, and for good reason. She felt absolutely powerless without it, like it was a suit of self-confidence. The little seeker was terrified, not of Silentsky of course, but simply standing out in the open, unarmored. It was almost too much. Then her friend knelt down to her, something she felt strangely in awe of.
"Yeah, yeah I am," she answered in a lighter tone than Spacewarp's, almost as if she were under an interrogation as well. Sunstreaker understood the smile. It was a look one gave when they were observing a small, cute and cuddly creature, which she obviously felt like.
Her next question was a perplexing one. She was still Sunstreaker after all, even if that name had already been taken in this universe. "Well, somebody else is already using my real name in this universe, so... Spacewarp will do fine."
She punctuated her answer with a nervous laugh, coupled with an uncertain smile, "I don't take this thing off ever... because, well... look at it!" Sunstreaker looked back up to Spacewarp in all her proud, aerial glory. It was everything she really wasn't: proud, strong and sure. Sunny may have been brash and fiery once, but all that overflowing passion had since dulled. She'd grown used to living as a veritable suit of armor.
Sunstreaker looked back to Silent, who was now sitting cross legged.
Spacewarp wouldn't fit, but...
She turned around and backed up into Silent, promptly sitting down in her lap, "I'm sorry... I just... I.. I feel very small right now..."
Silentsky gave Sunstreaker a chance to sit in her lap, not seeming to mind in the least. And this time, it was Silentsky who gently embraced the smaller femme, seeing such a different side of the femme who had once been so confident and out-going. It was a side the younger femme had never thought she would see in her companion.
Still, this didn't change a thing between them, at least not in her optics.
"It would be easier to just call you Spacewarp, I've become pretty use to it." Silentsky chuckled softly, giving her gentle smile she had shown a few times already. "And well, you are literally small, smaller than me." The seeker femme glanced up at the armor that she had come to think was the real Spacewarp, but in fact the real her sat there in her lap, brightly colored gold and black frame being such a stark contrast as her personality was. Yet, it did not seem to deter Silentsky nor what she was feeling. Feelings she was still somewhat figuring out herself.
Shaking her head Silentsky once more turned her gaze to the smaller femme, "Spacewarp, whether you're that big suit of armor or the smaller bot I'm presently embracing, you're still you. And I feel extremely honored you were willing to share this secret with me." Silentsky assured her, lifting a hand to rest upon her cheek once more. "And I could careless if you were forged or cold constructed either, I trust you and care about the femme I've spent my time with regardless."
It felt like having a suit of armor on again, though this time the armor was lovely, and charming, and hugging her in return. Sunstreaker sat quietly, listening intently to Silent's words of encouragement. It was almost too much to bear, too kind for her spark to take. Appreciation was something she was definitely in major need of, and here she was, having it handed to her on a plate.
She mimicked her earlier gesture, setting her hand atop Silent's. This was good, better than before when they'd both been drinking. Sunstreaker took her words in quietly, processing them for a healthy moment.
"I don't want to go back anymore," she said, almost as if to nobody in particular.
"If you ever do, I hope being in this one proves to be worthwhile for you." Silentsky told her, knowing that sometimes there were events out of their control that prevented them from sticking to their previous plans. Spacewarp may be here now, but she could easily be back in her own home world tomorrow, the next week, or even the next hour by some weird occurrence. And Silentsky would gladly admit she hoped Spacewarp could actually stay.
For a few minutes, Silentsky went quiet, just enjoying the moment she could share with Sunstreaker/Spacewarp. Given time, maybe they'd become the greatest of friends. Maybe they would be more, but such a thought Silentsky kept to the back of her mind for now since it was far too early to say for sure what would become of them.
"But, if you still don't mind, I'd love to still spend those few hours with you." Silentsky finally broke the silence again, her smile never fading. "If you are comfortable enough with me still staying."
Sunstreaker understood the meaning of golden silence right then and there. She didn't have a desire to leave or to get up, just one to stay right where she felt safest. For the first time since she'd arrived it felt like she actually belonged somewhere, had a place to call home; a person, even. They'd both ended up opening up to each other in the end, which meant by all means her mission had been accomplished.
She almost didn't even want to hop back in her armor, what with having grown so comfortable around Silent. Sunstreaker found she enjoyed somebody looking at her as all that she was, instead of a tall, proud shell. Her question seemed a bit odd, considering their current position.
