Player Alias: Chris
Character Name: Callum James Wyatt
Allegiance: Human {Autobot Ally}
Appearance Description:
Cal is a tall, lanky human with shaggy black hair and brown eyes. Described as a little bit nerdy looking, it becomes obvious looking at him that he really doesn’t “get out” a lot. He typically wears understated clothes to blend in with the crowd, not really liking standing out in any way.
Personality:
Cal is a bit of a straight shooter. What you see is what you get with this fifteen year old certified genius. Very casual in conversation and interested in all things alien, chatting with him can sometimes be like chatting with a supercomputer of all things nerd. Known for spouting off useless information and correcting any information he finds to be wrong.
Most would describe Cal as a serious person - as someone who has grown up fast. At fifteen - he already has a college degree and is taking care of himself, a fact which has made him take life in a more serious viewpoint. That said, shades of the kid he is are still there. He enjoys video games and Internet forums, as well as writing. But for the most part, very rarely gets out to hang out with anyone one-on-one. People can annoy him - and like a certain medic he’s known to throw an object or two when people annoy him.
Probably the worst aspect of him is his submissive nature. Cal is very easy to bully into compliance - something his landlord proves time and time again. At his heart Cal feels as though any minute - anyone could send his life crashing. And as a result has yet to find his voice when it comes to standing up for himself. All too often finding himself being taken advantage of by adults and teens alike.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
STRENGTHS
Certified Genius: Cal has a through the roof IQ and tech savvy that only continues to grow the older he gets. He often can guide himself out of anything with simple solutions.
Hacker Skills: Cal is known for being an adept hacker who often uses his skills to get into places he really shouldn’t be. The cops will never find him, he figures, but they’re trying.
Runner: Cal is insanely quick on his feet for someone who isn’t exactly in the best shape. Used to run track back in his year and a half of high schooo and now often uses running to clear his head. Something that would come in handy for otherworldly situations.
Alien-Savvy: Cal doesn’t know who the Autobots or Decepticons are, but he does know all about aliens. There’s a reason he believes they’re in Jasper - he knows what he’s doing. Even if he isn’t much of a real threat to Autobot existence.
Sense of Humor: Cal has a good sense of humor for all of his seriousness. Known to crack a joke all the time and also be able to take one. Probably one of the reasons he manages to retain friendships.
WEAKNESSES
Submissive: Cal is known for being very submissive. It’s very easy to bully him into doing almost anything with the right threat to his existence. Though he is not known for selling out a friend - he’s too loyal for that.
Loyal to a Fault: Cal is a very loyal person to those he considers close. That said, not everyone is loyal back to him. Oftentimes, Cal finds himself being on the receiving end of betrayal by putting his faith in others.
Hardly Strong: Cal isn’t known as the strongest human on Earth. In fact compared to others he’s pretty scrawny. He’s not going to go looking for a fight - but he will gladly cheer on the sidelines.
Socially Awkward: Considering how he often doesn’t get out of his “cave” and hasn’t really had proper role models - Cal is of the socially awkward variety. Having a hard time really “fitting in”.
Lonely: Probably something he’d never admit. But living alone has it’s downfalls. He often feels more than a little on the lonely side - but not in a way that impedes him too much.
Abilities:
Adept runner and hacker.
Weaponry:
His flurry of computers and other electronics.
History:
Born and raised in Jasper, Nevada, Callum had a rough start in life. Born to parents who were more concerned with a fix than him. He found an escape in science and sci fi movies. Both of which led to a lifelong fascination with the denizens of outer space. When he turned five - this fascination was the only way he could escape the hardest time of his life. The moment his parents walked out of his life and never came back.
In order to cope with foster care and the loss of his parents, Cal came up with his own explanation in his mind. His parents were abducted by aliens, he told himself. He’d save them, or find them someday and they’d be a family again. Soon, he was researching all kinds of aliens - all the while growing and developing a high intellect.
As he studied the aliens and tried to understand them better. Cal went on to grow even further in his studies, and eventually became certified as a genius. Before long, he was thirteen, having graduated high school early and pleading his case for emancipation.
He would not succeed in his emancipation until he was his current age: fifteen. At which point he had graduated from college, and had started to work for a conspiracy website as a paying job. Also around this time, he became convinced his former foster brother, Dylan Logan, who he had contact with was an alien. Given his continuous use of odd lingo, and continual dodging of living arrangements.
Putting two and two together with the already strange goings on in Jasper, Cal began to further study the aliens he believed had invaded. Following Dylan, and often taking notes, pictures, and videos on the subject. Renting out a former garage, he converted it into his home and business center, working tirelessly on figuring out all he could.
Following this; his life has taken a bit of a spiral. His landlord is constantly shaking him down and bullying him into paying more, and he knows Dylan is becoming more and more suspicious. Cal worries he’s closer to finding his parents than ever - but he’s also slowly losing his leads.
Time will only tell what will happen with this UFOlogist when he learns both the unpleasant and surprising truths. Because it’s only a matter of time until both come out.
