Player Alias: Kavac
Character Name: Red Alert
Allegiance: Autobots
Appearance Description: Red Alert is… red. His armor is splashed with white accents and luminescent blue lights, and the occasional splotch of light gray. He is decently taller than the average Autobot, though that isn’t saying much, and just noticeably more bulky. A transparent visor sits down in front of his eyes at all times, acting as a live data feed. Perhaps his most notable physical feature would be the rocket launcher mounted on his right shoulder, which he quite adamantly never puts away.
Since arriving on Earth, Red Alert has taken the alt-mode of a red Lykan Hypersport police car.
Personality: High-strung and almost never relaxed, Red Alert certainly leaves an impression on those he meets. He holds an attention to detail that borderlines on OCD, which only pushes him to strive for that impossible brand of perfectionism towards his job. While not the best of bots to share a room with, Red Alert tries, and fails miserably at being sociable most of the time.
When it comes to times of peace, or even pauses between the cannon fire, Red Alert struggles with being accepted by his brothers and sisters. Anything he tries to do to further integrate himself into the social structure has generally backfired, and he remains under the guise of an obsessive and neurotic officer.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
-Neuroticism - While his paranoia might be under control these days, Red Alert still possesses a high neuroticism index. He is very quickly agitated, and finds it almost impossible to relax afterwards.
-Self Blame - Red Alert places in inordinate amount of blame on himself whenever something goes wrong, even if it is by no means his fault at all.
-Paranoia - It’s a Decepticon plot. The eyes have walls. They’re listening in on us right now! Even though a few centuries of therapy and war have eased it to a degree, Red Alert’s paranoia continues to manifest itself in a number of ways.
+Vigilant - Red’s eyes are on everybody at all times. After having risen through the Autobot ranks during the war, Red Alert put his paranoid tendencies to better use. He is a very difficult bot to catch off guard or unaware, as he tries to prepare for literally every outcome possible.
+Prepared - There’s never a moment where Red is clueless about what to do. In his spare time he frequently plays out situations in his head thousands of times until he’s perfectly sure how to respond to each and every scenario perfectly, though it may drive his friends completely nuts.
Abilities:
Analyst - Red Alert isn’t Omega-1’s security director for nothing. He is a gifted security and threat analyst, able to pick up subtle flaws in a defense that other eyes probably overlooked. Patterns are another subject that Red is capable in, being able to see trends in friendly and enemy behavior before his superiors would even think to look.
Weaponry:
Rocket Launcher - While not his primary weapon, the launcher perched atop Red Alert’s shoulder may be his most noticeable. It remains his main weapon against armored targets, as well as aerial ones.
Particle Beam Rifle - A blaster rifle that serves as Red Alert’s main ranged weapon. It fires a burst of highly energized particles, and has a knack for punching straight through shields.
Atomizer Magnums - A pair of sidearms that function as Red’s main backup weapons. Holstered at his waist at all times, they offer a deadly mixture of power and precision to their wielder.
Shock Gauntlets - Red Alert’s forearms are able to transform into a pair of neutronium coated gauntlets, able to withstand most attacks, and capable of delivering a powerful shock to would-be attackers.
Ion Disruptor - A modified bomb defuser, Red Alert’s Ion Disruptor is a small handheld device capable of emitting a pulse of ionized energy that disables weapons, shields and other less complex electrical devices. When the situation looks dark, the Disruptor is his final fallback option. Being that it was designed by an Autobot who tries to prepare for everything, it is only calibrated to ignore his weapons, and to target the weapons of both his enemies, and allies.
History:
Red Alert of Iacon was constructed cold for the sole purpose of being a security officer, go figure. His last posting before the war broke out was at Translucentica Heights, located in northern Iacon. Red Alert’s days would go by uneventfully; throw out vagrants and loiterers, keep the unwashed out of the eyes of the posh and privileged, and report intelligence on various dissident groups to the police. Prowl and other members of the police were frequently tipped off by Red Alert and his efforts, just before the uprising.
Once the war began to kick off in earnest, Red Alert joined the Autobot Security Service under Prowl’s direct command, often times dealing with Decepticons off the battlefield. It was during this time that Red sought out professional help with his rampant paranoia, namely from Rung. Though it took several dozen sessions, Rung was eventually trusted enough by Red Alert to provide him with his real name. Therapy had a significant effect on Red Alert in the end, as his neurotic tendencies relaxed somewhat as time went on, allowing him to climb to the rank of lieutenant and the position of security director for Autobot command.
When the Autobots departed Cybertron during the Exodus, Red Alert managed to secure himself a seat aboard the Ark as it’s security chief, dealing with the threat of potential Decepticon saboteurs on board. His efforts expunged one saboteur named Makeshift, while the Ark was stopped for repairs on the colony of Velocitron. The efforts to deal with hidden saboteurs continued for several years despite the fact that nearly each and every saboteur had been taken care of, much to the annoyance of the rest of the Ark’s crew. When it came time to settle down on Earth for the foreseeable future, Red Alert jumped at the chance to protect Omega-1 from actual Decepticons again.
