Under normal circumstances, Chromia would've been resting. There hadn't been any reports of significant enemy activity, and plus Windblade had told her to take it easy for a while. Naturally Chromia didn't listen at all. There was never a time to rest, outside of her Conjunx's arms at least. Ironhide was a different story. She could fall onto him like a bed on command, another of her honed skills.
She was hard at work in the Autobot's training facility, working on their training 'assistants'. There were a number of scrapped Vehicons that had been stitched together after having been destroyed by a few the Wreckers. These ones had their mental processes ripped out after they'd been salvaged; their aim was only marginally worse than the real deal. In addition to their 'safeguards', their joints were affixed with magnetic couplings, allowing Chromia to punch and kick them apart to her spark's content, without the lament of some technician having to repair them after a few blows.
Vehicon #3 hit the nearest wall with maximum force, and promptly split into it's six components as it sprawled out over the floor. Chromia was a veritable hurricane while the training dummies had all the speed and power of a leaking faucet. They allowed her to fully exercise herself without restraint, however. She would jump from the shoulders of one target to another, wrap her legs around one and fling it into a wall. As the pace of the 'battle' changed, so did her tactics. Once the dismembered Vehicons reassembled themselves to continue their infinite bout setting, Chromia began absorbing the force of their blows to give back to them. Their movements began to slow as the damage began to mount, too much for even the training dummies to handle.
Just as Chromia's fist was about to impact the chest of Vehicon #12, she found herself coming up short. Instead of following through with a physical strike, a bolt of energy shot forth from her fist and punched a fiery hole straight through. She let herself absorb the vibrations of the blows from the rest of the Vehicons as she examined #12. "Huh... been a while since that just... happened."
Chromia made her way towards the control terminal, shutting off the training program before the poor things ran out of power. She dispelled the built up vibrations by tapping the chest of #5, sending them flying limp into the wall. The Camien held up the torso of #12, still in awe that she'd let such a blast slip out. She wasn't surprised that she could perform such an attack, it was merely the fact that it'd been quite a while since she'd relied solely on Circuit-Su. Throwing energy blasts out at an enemy was certainly a fun way to fight, but she'd always been a down-to-Earth kicker puncher, by her own admission.
Now that Sari was starting to understand that she was Cybertronian, she was beginning to understand a lot more about the things she could do. It wasn't just the making energy balls thing, but now she could finally see how she was able to work the ground bridge so easily. When her fingers hovered over the buttons on the commands and she really wanted to go somewhere, her fingers would transform and more or less do the work for her. It was so cool!
And that's precisely what she had done today. Sari wanted to see what the other base was up to.
Going through the Ground Bridge, the teenager wasted absolutely no time wondering around and peeking in on what people were doing. That's when she had found a blue femme she hadn't seen around before, and totally kicking butt. She watched in awe as Chromia continued with her exercise, completely devastating the holograms or whatever they were. The targets certainly didn't seem to be real.
Sari continued to watch until the femme was done with her exercise, wasting no time at all rushing up to her once the sparring was complete.
"That was so cool!! How did you learn to do that~?"
Chromia's audials perked up straight away as she was startled by a rather small-sounding voice. She spun around in her heel, Vehicon still clasped between her hands. It was just a human, or one of them at least; the Autobots certainly liked to keep them around as house pets, or something. She tossed aside the still smoldering wreck of the drone, turning her attention down to her newest fan.
"What, this?" she asked, holding out her upturned hand. Several lines of thin, vibrantly blue energy climbed up the Autobot's fingers, coalescing into the rough shape of a sphere suspended just above her digits. It had been quite a few years since she'd last taught Circuit-Su to another soul, that soul being Windblade. Not that this human could even attempt to learn from her, but Chromia had a drive to show her anyway.
"Well, first I had to do everything this rusty old martial arts bot said, and it sort've evolved from there. Perfect harmony of body, mind and spark and all that. You understand, right?"
Sari had only half expected the hologram Vehicon to scream that all familiar scream, but alas. It was not meant to be. She could at least have that mental image in her head at least. The teenager hadn't intended to startle the femme, but thankfully she hadn't been startled enough to attack. That.. would not have ended well.
For Sari at least.
She stared in awe as Chromia showed off her power, impressed as hell by that blue energy coming from the femme's digits.
"Of course I do! There's this movie about this kid that learned karate from this old martial artist, and he had him waxing his car and such to teach him basic skills! I dunno if it actually works that way, but I learned a few moves~. Did your rusty old martial arts bot make you do all kinds of cleaning to teach you?" Sari grinned, practically bounding with joy until she realized one little thing. She totally forgot to introduce herself! "Oh! I'm Sari~!"
Chromia tilted her head to the side, thinking. She didn't really know what the human was talking about, but the concept was familiar. Normally, when a student thought back on the time spent with their old master, there would be plenty of warm, fond memories. Yoketron dumping her on her ass in about sixty different ways came up for Chromia, instead. Good times. He had been unknowingly doing her a favor by knocking all the smug energies out while she was still young. She shook herself out of it soon enough. "Oh, no. We mostly just punched each other until I learned something. Took a while though, I'm hard-headed," she shrugged.
She was paraphrasing quite a bit, but the details were largely there. Chromia really was hard-headed.
"Well Sari," she started, "I'm Chromia."
"Think you could show me what you learned on Steve, here?" Chromia asked, holding up one of the limp Vehicons. She was mostly joking, not expecting a human of all things to just have a go at a Vehicon.
Aww... That was disappointing. There went her nice and prepared reference about old karate masters and waxing on and off, but that was alright. Maybe next time~.
Chromia seemed pretty awesome, especially when she was as kick butt as Sari had seen. There just weren't enough kick butt ladies out there, and it excited the heck out of the teenager to run into someone like this. Maybe she could learn a thing or two from Chromia if the other femme was up for it. If not, Sari wasn't going to stop until she eventually got a yes.
Of course, she'd still have to prove herself first and that's exactly what the blue femme had wanted. Show off what she knew and let it all loose on.. "Wait.. Steve?" Sari quickly found herself in a fit of laughter. Steve?! "That's.. That's such a random name for a Cybertronian! Ah.. ahaha..! I'm.. I'm sorry. I'll go beat Steve into submission now~." The laughing fit was hard to stop, even as she made her way over to the hologram.
Steve.. Another laugh as Sari wiped a tear from her eyes from how hard she had laughed. It was just too funny!
Once she drew near, she took off in a run, jumping into the air to demonstrate a flying kick with a proud and audible 'hiya!'
Huh. Far as Chromia knew, most humans weren't as agile as that. It was kind of a puny kick by her standards, but for a human? It was excellent. Probably. Steve merely recoiled gently from the relatively lightweight kick. It was kind of cute to watch, if Chromia was being honest. A lil dude like her, thinkin' they could hurt a big guy like Steve. She kept her observations to herself in that respect, however.
Chromia knelt down like an archaeologist inspecting some newfound relic, rubbing her chin, optics squinted. She couldn't just beat up on Sari to teach her how to fight better, like with Windblade. It was nice to have been the master for a change. No, she'd be in serious trouble if she decided to give Sari some 'interactive instruction'.
They did need to hit each other, but not like that. Chromia switched off Steve for the moment, before standing back up. "Kick me this time," she plainly asked. "I wanna get a feel for your.... er.... well, I can't say mechanics. So I'll say... form. Yeah, form."
