Player Alias: Charaa
Character Name: Brakes
Allegiance: Autobot
Appearance Description: Head: Her face could not be seen at all, due to the fact that her whole head appeared to be covered in a full type helmet, usually worn by those who rode on motorcycles. Her optics were completely covered by what would have been the transparent window for the rider’s themselves, but like the rest of her face, it was completely black. Her optics did glow a blue color, which was visible, and they also gave the impression that her optics came out of the sides of her head, which gave her a full view of her surroundings. This can't be investigated since what would be the window was fused shut.
The Helmet did end at the bottom of her chin, but there was a glowing line of light where her mouth would be. It moved when she spoke, and everyone can hear what she says. Everything but the face was a crimson red color, which sort of matched her alt mode.
Body: From the start of things, the height of her being was that of Arcee, this was because she too had a motorcycle type Alt mode, which had caused her to have a smaller frame, then most Cybertronians who were Cars, or trucks, and so on. As with all Cybertronians her alt mode, specifically 2013 Ducati Panigale R, has caused some visible changes to her body. Because her alt mode was that of a Motorcycle she didn’t have door wings, or normal wings like a few Cybertronians had, Instead, her whole back was covered by an almost folded motorcycle seat, this was between what was actually her back wheels, which appeared to be cut in half, and stuck on her back.
Thanks to the damages of war, Brakes now sported a Unicycle type robot frame. This meant that when she is in her robot mode, her feet were actually a singular wheel, which was capable of supporting her entire body, though she does appear to wobble a little bit. In her alt mode, this was actually her front wheel. The back wheels, as mentioned, was well, literally on her back. For the most part, her body did resemble Arcee’s somewhat, due to having the same frame type, but with some modifications.
She wore extra plating around the top of her chassis, giving off an impression of her femininity.
Her right arm ended at seemingly long length spindly fingers that gave off the impression they were longer than should be possible, but actually weren’t. Her left, however, did follow the same way, but it had a modified gun attachment which can move so that it’s in front of her servos if she needed them.
As if wanting to copy Ironhide, her vehicle mode was mostly crimson red, where there were some matte black some parts, like the seating. As such her body also had those coloring to her form. From what could be soon of her actual body was also the same matte black as the rest of her.
The insignia to signify her as a member of the Autobots was on her arm so that she can look at it, and feel pride that she belonged to the good guys.
The wheels have retractable blades which she can use in offensive as well as alternate means. Because they were attached to her wheels, they can spin with about equal force to a Scraplet.
Personality: As a Sparkling, she came into existence, and developed her personality with the belief and worship of primus. Whether as a result of this, she hadn’t really participated during the war and felt a sense of neutrality. She didn’t care what the factions were, despite the Decepticons being a total jerk to her family. She was barely out of Sparklinghood when she met with a loss. The Decepticons killed her family, and that had settled within her the truest fact. The Decepticons were bad, the Autobots, who saved her were the good guys.
Living amongst the Autobots she got to see, and meet the true noblest and honorable being. Thanks to their influence she holds the ideals and values of the Autobot faction she follows their way of doing things, and She too felt concern for the well-being of others, she wouldn’t attack others, nor would she try to harm a human. She disliked war, but hated the Decepticons, she knows if the Decepticons win, things would be bad.
Younglings needed a parent, someone to look after them, and Brakes was no different, fortunately, She felt lucky, that her adoptive parent, was Ironhide, who really knew his weapons. She had to learn patience because despite wanting to learn how to use weapons, and participate in the battle, Ironhide wasn’t sure she was ready. Besides, she had to work on her transformations and practice using her alt mode. She knows people like Ironhide won’t push her on the wrong path, so she showed respect by waiting on him. Once she was ready, she was a Student that could be called a teacher’s pet, willing to put the effort in for training, and using that training for the good of her people.
She sometimes uses Humor to cover up for distress.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
Strength
Trained Combat Mistress: One does not simply grow up with a father like Ironhide, and a mother like Chromia and not learn a thing or two about fighting and weapons. Thanks to her adopted old man’s guidance, She has extensive knowledge about weapons, specifically one that’s perfect for the use of someone of her frame type, as well as the knowledge of how to hurt an opponent really badly. Thanks to Chromia, she has extended this learning as well as received additional training from her when Ironhide couldn't be there.
Tolerant: despite being a small framed Cybertronian, she can take a lot of damage and pain. Inspired by her adoptive father, she had trained herself to have an iron will that equals to Ironhide’s own. She would never crack under pressure, no matter what’s done to her body.
Unwavering loyalty: From when she was very young, she knew immediately that the Autobots were the good guys, and the Decepticons were the guys that deserved to get fragged. When she lost her Creator and sire, it was an Autobot who cared for her, made sure she was safe. When she got captured it was Autobots who saved her and took care of her. This settled it for her, and she would never ever betray them. There’s nothing, no one could do that could change that.
weaknesses
Smaller Frame: She has a smaller form than most Cybertronians, and as such the bigger Mechs and Femme’s could potentially cause harm to her if they were capable of it. She sometimes feels like she has to compete against her comrades in hopes of being the best of them, like her adoptive father.
Humor cover-up: She has a great deal of pride within her, and because of this, she sometimes has a habit, of using Humor to cover up how she really feels, or what really has happened to her. Which means she sometimes makes a joke out of certain situations.
Hotheaded: being a young Cybertronian, she can sometimes suffer from the effect called Hotheadedness, meaning she might do something without thinking. This makes it a weakness because while she is confident with her abilities, she should know when to keep her cool, and hen to attack. Though she tries her best.
Random wobbles: despite the tech that keeps her stable, there are times where she would wobble a little when she’s going somewhere in robot mode or standing.
Abilities:
Abilities: As a result of sharing a similar alt mode, as the Autobot Arcee, and her past job with the Autobots. The fighting style that was chosen for her, was similar to what Arcee does, meaning her style was meant to use speed. She also had to be precise with her targeting so that the enemies she encountered. Her job meant she had to be quick, to take down danger because a message she held could be what helped her comrades in the war. Using her arm mounted weapon, her Energon blaster and her Wheel blades, to make herself a foe that’s as dangerous as her comrades.
When not in combat, she’s fitted with a grappling hook attached to the wrist of her right arm, that lets her get to really far or high places.
Weaponry:
one arm modified Null ray, left arm. Energon blaster, wheel blades
History:
It was at a very inopportune time, did the existence of Brakes become reality. This bad timing was right smack in the middle of the great war. Fortunately, her creator and sire, were very neutral and they tried to avoid the battle, and Brakes’s existence became simply another reason for them not to join the battle. Her life the first years of her life was nothing if not Horrific. Since her family unit didn’t want to participate in the war, the Decepticons assumed they were against them, and they would threaten them even if all they asked for was Energon for their sparkling.
It was the Autobots who had shown kindness, by not only letting them have the Energon they could spare but also made sure they were protected. Her sire always said it was thanks to Primus, that they lived this long, Primus, and the kindness of the Autobots. Now in relative safety, her parents began to impart on their belief system, that Primus was a good god, and their creator, while Unicron as a total pain in the Aft, and a bad guy.
As a Sparkling, she was exposed to the noble and good that was the Autobot Faction. Though her parents did try to keep her out of the way, so that she didn’t get squished, and so that she didn’t distract them, she was able to see the Autobots for herself, and she had to admit, although she liked all the Autobots equally, but her absolute favorite had to be Ironhide. Optimus was cool indeed, but it was settled her favorite was Ironhide. She hoped that when she went through her stages of life, she could be as brave and cool as he was. When the little femme had heard that he was Conjunx Endura with someone, she was overjoyed because she thought only another brave, and a skilled warrior would be perfect, and Chromia, was the perfect choice.
Brakes didn’t know it, but she would eventually come to call Ironhide, her father, and his love, Chromia, her mother. This would, of course, mean she would be joining his family unit. Her family unit had to escape again because there was a word that the Decepticons were going to attack the city-state where she had been living. Though the little Sparkling was sure, that the Autobots could protect them, her parents, on the other hand, were far more concerned with not being in the way, so they decided to leave, that way there won’t be any Energon wasted on them. They managed to make it to the ruins of another city-state when the encountered Decepticons. Her parents hid her in a crate, and they tried to peacefully explain their situation, that they need Energon, and that they had a Sparkling, but the cons didn’t believe them, and they were killed.
Time passed, and an Autobot squad came through, because of her cries, she was discovered, and then with extreme care, she was taken away to safety. They didn’t stop at another city-state that the Autobots held, but the main state, Iacon. The capital of the Autobots. This certainly was the farthest she had ever been before.
It was here, where she had met Ironhide after he had made a report in person to the leader. Brakes showed him how she adored him, and how cool she thought he was, and he’d heard that her parents were dead, so he decided to take her under his wing so to speak, and act as a father to her.
During her stay, she was given toys, and things, to help with her development, and she was eventually given a special project. This was mostly helping with repairs, and entertaining the injured combatants. She got to meet the beautiful, Chromia, Ironhide’s conjunx endure. She hoped that the older femme approved of Ironhide acting like her father, but whether or not she did, she didn’t know because she wasn’t told. Eventually, after a really long time, she started to feel weird, like something was tightening on her. It was an odd feeling, but since no one else seemed to be complaining about the feeling she chose not to say anything. After all, the Decepticons couldn’t have developed a weapon that would target only her right?
Eventually, it was too much for her to bear, she told a medic, which made her feel guilty. The medic luckily was a doctor that specifically looked after Sparklings like her, so they knew immediately what was going on. It was time for her to transition from Sparkling to the youngling.
Fortunately, they were able to find a Protoform that was larger than her old one, which meant it was compatible with her spark, and they carefully transferred her to it. Unfortunately, the form was larger than her old one was, and it had the t-cog within it, which meant she could now transform. She had to take a great deal of time, acclimating herself with her new body, and practice being in her alt mode state.
While the war went on, she practiced, and got used to things, once she was sure she had control, she asked her dad to train her. Unfortunately for her, he knew how dangerous guns were, so he simply gave her basic self-defense training, and to make sure that if she encountered a Decepticon who attacked her, she can defend herself. She was sure, that he hoped she never had to encounter one as a youngling.
Due to her independence, she was able to leave the safety of where they kept her, which meant she could do other things. She had chosen to leave the entertainment job she had done as a sparkling behind and instead, she acted as a courier, delivering messages to the other parts of the base, when the communications were malfunctioning or delivering packages to others that needed them. Eventually, after a great deal of work and training, it was time for her to once more, change into a bigger body, as she entered the Cybertronian equivalent of the teen years.
The distance of travel for deliveries of the packages became further, and further away from the main base, and as a result, it meant she had to be on her guard and keep herself safe. The Autobots couldn’t always be there to protect her as she went on her way. She continued to learn fighting and training techniques, until, that is, she reached the Cybertron equivalent of late teens.
Late teens, or the Cybertronian equivalent of it, was the stage where one’s parents were sure that it was acceptable to be given training for guns. She’d have been no different had Decepticons not decided to say hello, and ask questions.
Brakes had been at the Autobot’s farthest base, having finished a delivery and had taken a request, when the Decepticons attacked. Because of her vulnerability, she was the easiest to capture since she tried to run. During the interrogation, they tried to get her to spill her secrets but she refused. She remembered the cruelty the Decepticons had shown to her family when she was younger, they eventually shown cruelty again and so severely damaged her legs, that they were irreparable by even the most skilled medics.
The Autobots found her, led by her adoptive father, they rescued her, and gave the group such a thrashing, they were certain even Megatron felt it. Brakes was brought back to the HQ, where the medics had managed to use the scrap from her legs, as well as other parts to try and get her a new pair of legs. Unfortunately, they gave her a unique set, that so far no one else had.
With her loyalty now set in stone, she began learning more about guns, her adoptive father giving her some training, and her frame got some weapon upgrades that was perfect for it. She took to the training, and she knew her comrades were glad that she wouldn’t have been able to shoot them accidentally, the Decepticons however, had a lot more to worry about. With her marksman skills, as well as her other martial ability she became a sort of myth, the Berserk Messenger, that reliably delivered messages and packages while dealing death to the Decepticons.
The war on Cybertron was, fortunately, coming to an end, not without some bad news. Cybertron was dying. She got the message on her Comm, ordering her, and her comrades to return to base, and prepare for an evacuation. They were going to leave their homeworld, to find a new home. While she didn’t like the idea of just leaving, staying in a dead world wasn’t a good idea either. So she joined with another group of Autobots and they returned to Iacon, where she was asked to enter another ship, which meant that she wouldn’t be joining her father, or her father’s love.
The small ship left the planet, fortunately, it was able to dodge Decepticon attack, and fly away. Eventually, the ship dropped out of warp, due to the depleting Energon, Shift gear, was forced to use a stasis pod, in order to conserve her Energon.
Eventually, a certain message, from a certain leader appeared on the screen of her ship, with a message, and the ship’s computer used the last of its Energon in order to get her to the planet. A quick scan detected the Autobot signatures, and especially two really important signatures, before ejecting the pod to the planet.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
arrival post
Attention Autobots, this is an Automated Distress call from Escape capable Stasis pod number 573453-67454-32 on all Autobot channels. This Stasis pod has received a message under Priority Prime and has activated its thrusters in order to make it here. Stasis pod contains one Cybertronian, warning Occupant is almost low on Energon, please bring Energon.
As the pod had entered the Planet’s Atmosphere, elements that looked almost like flames began to surround the pod trying to get at the Stasis locked Cybertronian inside. The wreckage of the ship followed in the pod’s wake, as it too entered the atmosphere, and rained down on the sands of the Sahara. Molten metal slammed into the sands, burning it, making glass as the pod soon came down, and destroyed the creation that was happening, until, at the bottom of a sand dune, The Stasis pod found its rest.
Outside the steaming stasis pod, Decepticon flyers began their approach towards the pod, hoping to kill the Autobot inside or to take her back to their base, for all manner of evil intentions. Even as the pod activated its occupant, it sent another message back to base.
Addendum Autobot base, Decepticon Fliers on approach to Stasis pod, the occupant will need of aid.
Brake’s optics lit up, as she was brought out of Stasis, alarms blaring inside the pod. A few of the Decepticons landed in front of the pod. The pod doors opened and the Decepticons targeted the entrance before energy blasts shot out, a few of the cons got hit badly, and as a result, they went down, the last con got a wheel blade to the head.
She pulled her wheel out, and then she looked up, as a few more Decepticon Flyers were approaching. “Oh, you’d like to dance to? I’m fine with obliging, but I’m just one Femme, you need more, or your friends would be upset with ya, don’t worry though, I know a great group of people, who are more than willing to dance, and they are far superior dancers too. “ She said before she connected with the pod's relay, and transmitted her own message.
“Hey, this is Brakes, I’ve encountered some Cons who want to dance with me, I’ll definitely need some friends to come and join my little party, my pod’s transmitting the location I hope.”

A quick scan detected the Autobot signatures, and especially two really important signatures, before ejecting the pod to the planet.

arrival post
