Another mission, and this time she was basically on her own. Fine by her.
Well.. maybe not entirely alone. There were troops that could be sent to her whenever and there was that Glowstrike and the other Decepticons who had been on the Alchemor that she was supposed to keep an optic on, but more than that.. she was to remain focused on the Autobots out his this 'organic wasteland'.
Megatron knew full well were the base was, and it irked Shadow Striker that she couldn't just storm the base and take it down. Bumblebee was there! That's what the reports had all said! Instead she was supposed to lurk about and show no sign of knowing where their base was.
In fact, that was a detail she'd never received in order to make this mission all the more believable.
"I get why Megatron wants to wait until he has the location of the other base to attack, but if I find it for myself..? They're scrapped." Shadow Striker ducked behind a boulder, peering over the edge with rifle in servo. She was more than prepared to start blasting Autobots away at a given moment, even if her body wasn't going to cooperate with her. Even if Bumblebee wasn't the first bot she ran into, and she'd be furious if he wasn't, there was always a chance of taking down one of his teammates.
...Whoever they were.
Shadow Striker grunted as she suddenly felt sharp pain in her wrist, dropping her rifle for a moment before forcing herself to pick it back up. The femme needed to keep her guard up just in case of Autobot activity, but if there wasn't any she'd just have to find another spot to camp out at.
Fortunately for Shadow Striker, one such familiar face was deciding to leave the safety of the base perimeter. Though it was about to be unfortunate for said bot in question.
Since the incident with Sari, Bumblebee had been required to remain in the base for recovery after the damage done to his chest plating. The area was still extremely sore when he moved, occasionally throbbing if he did too much. Not that he wasn’t unfamiliar with pain, he had had more than his fair share of damage to his chest plating, even could have sworn this was not the first time he had been on the receiving end of Sari’s weapons. Though he could not recollect how or why that seemed to be such a familiar feeling, having decided to dismiss the deja vu he was facing.
However, he hated being idle in the base when so much was going on, or at least in his down time. Having the urge to do something, anything, at this point the yellow and black mech had left the base for a quiet stroll in the nearby forest, one of the few places he didn’t have to hear his teammates bicker or worry about humans. Very few ever wandered this far towards the scrapyard so the lieutenant left without much concern or worry on his processor.
In fact, he felt nothing but relaxed as he left the base behind, in full sight of his self-proclaimed arch enemy. “This doesn’t seem so bad, maybe this will do me some good.” Bee spoke to himself, taking in a few deep intakes of the fresh air, quite enjoying serene silence, for once ignoring the glaring obvious scars decorating his chest now.
And for the time being leaving himself rather foolishly unguarded.

Shadow Striker leaned her rifle's barrel against the top of the boulder as she kept her watch. She had no idea when or if an Autobot showed up, and she wanted to be ready to go all ham if one showed up.
Especially.. if that Autobot just happened to be a certain someone.
The femme grumbled quietly to herself, pain still in her wrist. She was going to have to power through it, and her stupid wrist was just going to have to behave itself for a little while longer, especially when she heard movement. It was a bit too far away to really make out what was coming her way, but she needed to be prepared just in case.
Shadow Striker stayed behind the bolder, keeping aim until the source of the sound finally showed it's face. Once she caught sight, it was enough to make her grin.
Bumblebee~.
Keeping as still as she possibly could, even with the pain, Shadow Striker quickly took aim just mere inches ahead of the source of all her anger and opened fire with a single shot. A warning shot it may be, but she wanted to distract Bee just long enough that she could mount a sneak attack by getting around him and striking from behind.
As Bumblebee went to take another step, Shadow Striker's single shot made him jump back immediately. The movement caused him to make sound of discomfort due to his chest, resting a hand over the area as he grabbed his handheld shield, triggering it right away. It may have been a warning shot, but Bumblebee wasn't taking any chances.
'So much for it being quiet and serene.' The mech thought to himself, reaching back to grab for his Decepticon hunter, finding only the barrel of his Plasma Cannon causing him to facepalm. It was then the former scout remembered he had left it behind in the base. He had felt no need to drag it around when no immediate danger had occurred for sometime and he had intended to take it slow and easy. Of course, as he always feared, every time he went to take some time to relax or do something simple something always happened, as was the case with Swindle and then Sari's sudden transformation.
Still, his fight or flight response kicked in, the lieutenant taking a defensive position, "{Whose ever out there, show yourself!}" He spoke up through his radio, his vocalizer deciding at a fine time not to work once more.

Perfect~!
Bumblebee had reacted to Shadow Striker's warning shot, which was exactly what she had wanted him to do. The fact that she had remained essentially unnoticed was something she was quite proud of, allowing her to attempt a sneak attack as planned. Defend all you want, Autobot, but Shadow Striker was going to raise hell.
The Decepticon quickly tried to take the long way around Bumblebee, doing her best to stay out of his line of sight just long enough to get the upper hand. If he spotted her too quickly, then who could say how the battle would end? Oh who was Shadow Striker kidding? She'd win regardless.
Once she felt she was in a good spot, the femme swiped her sniper rifle for a machete, charging at Bumblebee from behind as she swung her weapon. Even if he caught on, it didn't matter. Now she was up close and personal~.
"Bumblebee! What a coincidence.. running into your miserable face on this planet. Care to finish where we left off back on Cybertron?"
Bumblebee made sure he didn’t remain in one spot. Slowly he backed up, occasionally turning on the spot to cover all the areas he could along the path he had come, attempting to backtrack back to the base. If someone was out here he at least would have a chance to bolt for the entrance or call for back up if necessary. But in his current state he was no where near the shape he should be for combat, something he had hoped to avoid.
It appeared such a desire yet again jinxed him.
It was one of those moments where the lieutenant was turning did he catch sight of Shadowstriker, just in time enough to raise the shield to take the brunt of her strike, “{Shadow Striker.}” Bumblebee’s optics narrowed slightly with seeing his self-proclaimed nemesis there on Earth. He hadn’t seen her since the last mission he had involving a tanker and to see her here didn’t exactly alleviate his old concerns. “{There is nothing to finish here, you’re the main reason we were both nearly blown to scrap and for your current condition! I had no choice but to fire back.}” Bumblebee re-interated once again for what felt like a broken record. She blamed him entirely for what happened to her, which he admitted was an unintended result but he felt he had had no choice back then.
With narrowed optics, Bumblebee pushed forward against the machete, trying to force the mismatched femme away from him so he could get some distance from her. “{I don’t have time to deal with you today Shadow Striker, this is getting old.}”

Nothing to finish here..
Those words burned with such rage in Shadow Striker's spark. Nothing to finish?! After everything that happened, Bumblebee just wanted to walk away from it? Oh no.. Not today. That was not how this fight was going to end. "Oh.. and I suppose you're going to blame Lord Megatron for having all that Energon stashed where we were keeping Optimus while you're at it? I don't think so. You're the one who took the shot. You're the one who was so bold to remind me of how Energon was so explosive, and you did it anyway. All the more reason for me to make you suffer."
The femme slammed her machete down on Bumblebee's shield a few more times, just to put some extra pressure on the mech before discarding it when the Autobot pushed back. She scowled at him, clenching her fists. Bumblebee really was trying to escape.
"That's a shame, cause I've got all the time in the world to play today." The Decepticon reached back, pulling out her blaster before firing a couple of rounds at the Autobot, taking a step forward with each shot. After a third shot, Shadow Striker's wrist began to spark, forcing her to stop to deal with the pain.
Bumblebee struck his shield with each strike of Shadow Striker's machete, sparks flying off from the clashing energy. He never understood why she had switched to such a crude, large bladed weapon such as that when she seemed far more the swift and precise type. He figured it might have to do with her fighting capabilities or just her drastic change in views since she was rebuilt.
"{Because it was Megatron's fault those energon cubes were stashed in that warehouse! And you were the one that began firing at me and Optimus when we tried to escape even after I warned you not to!}" Bumblebee retorted, wondering how delusional that explosion had made the femme before him or how twisted her psyche had become from being so hellbent on revenge. "{I didn't intend for any of you to get hurt, but you were firing and I was shooting back blindly Shadow Striker, surely you can remember that.}" The lieutenant tried to reason, wincing as two of the shots from her weapon began to break through, threatening to shatter the energy shield and forcing Bumblebee to deactivate it and take the final shot to a raised arm.
It stung of course, but he ignored the wound. He could get it patched up later and tried to clear his scarred vocalizer as he deployed his twin barrelled energon blasters from each arm. "But if...you insist...I'll fight you....off." Bumblebee spoke hoarsely, charging towards her while firing his twin blasters in an attempt to force Shadow Striker back. Or at least cause her to stumble and lose balance. If her mismatched form was causing some issues just maybe he could use that to his advantage and force her away.
Shadow Striker continued to wail against Bumblebee's shield, desperate to break through the thing and to cut him to pieces. Sure it might have been crude, but what fun was it to end him in a single blast from her sniper rifle? She'd wanted him to suffer after all, and the more pieces he was in the more amusing it would be for the crazed femme.
"You might not have intended to hurt me, but I most certainly wanted to hurt you! Especially after my seeker guards proved to be so worthless in guarding Optimus. You had to go and be the hero and rescue a Prime who couldn't even save his own scrap metal." The femme backed off for a moment, reaching for her blaster to apply even further pressure on the Autobot, only to grow angry when her own servo betrayed her with a spark.
Shadow Striker yelled out between the pain in her servo and her arch-nemesis nailing her in the shoulder. She needed to wait until her servo fixed itself before striking again, and the other's blaster fire forced her into a hasty retreat just to take cover. This could not be happening!
Shaking her servo in the air, the Decepticon was able to work off the pain for the moment and reached back for the blaster once more. "Took long enough to come around. Eat this!" From behind her impromptu fort, Shadow Striker leaned over a fallen tree and fired off a few more rounds from the blaster at her enemy. Odd how he seemed to be almost entirely on the defensive though. "So what's your hurry? Optimus calling his precious scout back already?!"
“Playing...hero? You...kidnapped my...friend!” Bumblebee countered, voice laced with static still as he spoke and feeling the slight discomfort in his throat once more. Of all times for his old scar to act up, it had to be now. “I would...have expected...you to be...thrilled at...what Mega...tron did...to me...too.” As odd as it was, the former scout wondered how she felt to the news of nearly being killed at the hands of Megatron himself once. Would she have been furious her revenge was stolen from her or would she have been disappointed she hadn’t been there for the torture he had endured?
Still, he had been quicker on the draw. His twin blasters forced the mismatched Shadow Striker into a retreat, giving the yellow and black mech a moment to gather himself. First, he immediately began to consider the reason Shadow Striker was here in the first place. The Decepticons has infiltrated their base many times before as it was,’what more could they possibly have to watch? He doubted it was for petty revenge since the chance of her knowing he was there seemed unlikely.
Door wings twitching, the lieutenant watched where the crazed femme had duck and gasped as he was forced to roll to the side to dodge the strike, grimacing as his still healing chest throbbed from the harsh movement. Clearing his vocalizer once more, his voice finally seemed to cooperate, “You wish.” Bumblebee responded, “I don’t need the rest of my team involved.” In actuality, Bumblebee probably did need the help given the damage Sari had done and only recently being patched up. But, the more he thought about it, the more he was determined to just get Shadow Striker out of his armor and away from the junk yard. “I mean seriously, you’re like a stalker ex who couldn’t take no for an answer.” The yellow and black mech taunted as he shifted around further and further from the base.
