Starscream would never tire of the exhilaration that came with flight. It had been necessary for him to get out and stretch his wings, his days spent aboard the Nemesis, in the presence of so many annoyances, was beginning to wear. Out here, he was free for a few moments, left in his most desired state. Though, if he were still back on Cybertron, that would be preferable.
At the moment, the red jet was cruising happily at a medium altitude, simply enjoying the wind over his wings. He'd left at a time when his underlings shouldn't be comming him frantically and he hadn't seen any reports of Autobot fliers in the area. He banked slightly, readjusting his leisurely flight course.

Ground-bridging from Crown City to Jasper wasn't fun, at least not how Jetfire defined fun. Sure, it was a marvel of technology, science and engineering, but on some (meaning most) days, he just needed to go full analogue. Jetfire had been shredding sky behind him for the better part of the last hour, happily content with his own thoughts and the wind to give him company. No deadlines, no stress, just the sky.
Jetfire would find himself stressed soon enough, however.
A small ping on his radar alerted him to the presence of another flier in the skies, although there wasn't much Jetfire could do based on that alone. The small red blip on his scanners quickly became a small red dot on the horizon, headed in a vector perpendicular to his own. Jetfire didn't immediately seek any action, as the other craft was most likely just human in origin, he'd hoped. Once they closed the distance though, he knew better.
Zipping straight over the crimson seeker, Jetfire only managed to pick up a blurred image of them in the back of his mind. But he knew.
Starscream
Without another thought, Jetfire banked hard to swing back around to intercept his old friend.

Starscream was quite content, even when the blip appeared on his scanners. Likely one of those human crafts, nothing to pay any mind to. At least, he thought so, until the white and red jet blasted above him and made a sharp turn. Immediately, his visual scanners zoomed in, finding the decals and the unmistakable Autobot insignia. The suddenness of the bank confirmed his suspicion.
Jetfire.
A sneer would have pulled at the air commander's face were he in his bipedal mode. As it was, he loosed a snarl. Well, then, wasn't this a happy event.
Starscream abruptly dived, firing his thrusters and tearing down into the clouds below. He wasn't actually sure that his old friend wouldn't fire upon him, and was doing well to evade. If he didn't fire, it meant he wanted to talk, and Starscream wasn't interested.
Well, old friend, let's see how well you can keep up!
