Cyberwarp honestly didn't know what she was doing on Earth still. Wing had vanished which had left her relatively alone on the planet save for the Autobots and Decepticons she was trying to avoid, especially the latter. It was bad enough that Spacewarp now knew she was on the planet, but she hoped that she'd managed to convince the other to keep quiet.
During her wanderings on the Earth, she came across an open portal. A groundbridge? It seemed risky to just go through it, but what else did Cyberwarp have to lose at this point aside from her life. She had to admit she was worried about what was on the other side, but she wasn't going to know for certain until she went through.
What she didn't expect.. was for it to be a bar with a minibot running the place.
Confused as the poor femme was, she took a seat at the bar as she noticed the barkeep practically shooing someone away from a nearby stool. Something about it being for his 'best customer' or whoever. Didn't matter to Cyberwarp though. After all this she was certainly wanted a drink, but the concept of an open bar during the war just seemed so.. strange to her. Maybe it would help take her processor off things for a bit while she tried to figure out her next move.
Spacewarp coughed, having been sitting next to Cyberwarp since she'd sat down. She'd been sitting there for a while, actually.
She hadn't exactly expected Cyberwarp to recognize her in the slightest, given that she'd constructed a brand new set of armor since they'd last met, as to not be condemned to be eternally small and cute. Spacewarp had neglected to select a meeting spot ahead of time, as well. She'd picked up rumors of a place that sounded like a good spot to meet, only that getting to it was a bit of a problem. However, it wasn't too much of a problem if one knew where to look, and who to ask. And also who to bribe. Generously.
Seriously. This bartender was charging two limbs for their use of his establishment as their own inter-dimensional meeting spot. The ship the bar was riding on should've been a factor in Spacewarp getting a lower price, as well.
What the hell kind of a name was the Lost Light, anyway?
Anyway...
Spacewarp was already nursing her second drink by the time Cyberwarp had walked in. They had decided to meet together to discuss their thoughts on the Decepticons at some point in the future, although most of the when and where had been left of to Spacewarp. Maybe it would've helped to let Cyberwarp know that she'd be sending out a groundbridge for her at some point, but everything seems to have worked itself out regardless.
"Sorry for not ah.... giving you any advance warning. But you know how these things go." Spacewarp began, not clarifying at all what she meant by 'these things'.
She turned to give Cyberwarp her full attention, reminding her in case she'd forgotten. "You wanted to talk."
There were plenty of bots in the bar when Cyberwarp arrived, but she honestly hadn't noticed any one in particular that she recognized. Maybe it was just a sense of escapism for the briefest of moments despite not really knowing where she was, but then a voice spoke up.. and one that she recognized at that.
At first the femme was startled, turning to look at the voice's owner as she recognized the smaller bot as Spacewarp. Primus, she wasn't used to the whole loadbearing thing let alone the true appearance of the Decepticon. She let her optics close as she released a sigh of relief, "It's fine. I just.. this is all new to me. Honestly I should have been paying better attention."
Primus, that's right.. She'd agreed to talk to Spacewarp about her feelings regarding the war next time they met, hadn't she? The femme reached for an Energon cube that was passed down her way, gazing into the glowing liquid as she attempted to prepare the words she wanted to speak carefully. No point in saying the wrong thing and starting a fight. Honestly, it was a miracle that Megatron hadn't sent after her just yet. Maybe the other really did keep her word.
"The Decepticons.. I feel they're taking far too much pleasure in this war. It started noble enough, but now it's nothing more than bloodshed. When it was just the Autobots and the Decepticons, things were as fine as they could be, but with more and more people from other planets getting involved? Getting hurt? I couldn't continue down that path. This is our war, not theirs."
Spacewarp drank quietly as Cyberwarp proceeded. Yep, she thought between gulps. She was definitely a fugitive sporting rhetoric like that. Ironic. That outspoken, bleeding spark ideology was precisely something she'd imagined the early Decepticon movement was characterized by, but at this point, motives and goals had changed. The worst part was that Spacewarp couldn't find a decent reason to refute her. Although, she did have her own viewpoints to share.
Clack.
The sound of her mug hitting the counter top signaled that it was Spacewarp's turn to contribute. "Your war has transcended the boundaries of its homeworld. It's still very much between the Autobots and Decepticons, but as a total war, it's inevitable that others will be drawn in and hurt." Spacewarp's tone was more or less neutral, and heavily laden with a stoic pragmatism. She had also said your war, in regards to a war that she herself was very much a part of.
Spacewarp stopped herself from proceeding as she quickly caught the implications of her phrasing. "Pardon me, let me step back for a moment." Adjusting herself in her seat, she began. "I'm not from your universe. Or this universe, or any universe remotely similar to this universe." Spacewarp huffed. "This war is as alien to me as anything else I've seen since I've stranded here. But back home, we had our own war, too."
She nodded solemnly.
"And before that, we had another war. The first war took my sister, and the second war took my conjunx. Autobot versus Decepticon. Everything you're seeing now is my third trip around the cycle. The names and faces may have changed, but fundamentally, these wars are the same. And we both know they don't solve anything."
Cyberwarp was completely confused when Spacewarp spoke of different universes and how she had hailed from one different from the femme's own. Spacebridges were one thing, but entire universe hopping? How was any of it possible, and how had the smaller femme managed to get to this universe to begin with? Primus she was going to need an extra drink just to get through this conversation at this rate.
"I don't.. think I follow? If you're not from this universe, how did you get here? What is your universe like? Surely it can't be too different if it's taken those you care for from you and you still landed with the Decepticons." Dark blue optics stared into the swirling drink in the mug before her, pondering deeply before taking a sip. It wasn't even just that she'd seen multiple versions of the war, but Spacewarp seemingly seemed to know that Optimus Prime and Megatron solved nothing with their squabbles.
"I suppose you have a point in that. Truly I wish for a world where the fighting stopped and we could co-exist in peace like the days of old I've heard much about, but.. I don't think that can ever happen. Not with the way the Decepticons are going about things. Don't get me wrong. I don't agree with the Autobots methods either, but.. they aren't nearly brutish as the Decepticons have become. Just look Cyclonus, the.. um.. Cyclonus I know, anyway. He wanted to brainwash the entire populous and terminate them all without a second thought."
