Characters:Cyberwarp , Wing , Twomp Location: Rural Canada, far from human civilization Content Warnings: TBD Plot Summary: Wing realizes that his attempt to take Cyberwarp away from the war has led her straight into it
The roar of jet engines was cut off as Wing transformed. A graceful shifting of playing and rearranging of limbs later bright the mech into his bipedal mode. He fired his thrusters briefly to keep from crashing into the forrest below. Landing among trees just barely higher than himself, he opened his scanners briefly to check for any signatures besides his own and his companion. None for the moment.
With a heavy vent, the mech made room in the small clearing for his comrade. His spark was heavy after their meeting with the others. First, he had been hopeful. Now he realized just how much of a hold the war held on his species as a whole. By the light of the Allspark, he really couldn't imagine how things could be worse. He'd promised to protect her, to take her away from the war. Instead, if the others were to be believed, they'd run straight into its heart. Megatron was near, somewhere around this planet, if not on it's very surface...how could he protect her from the Decepticon warlord and his army? He was skilled, but something of that magnitude....he feared that discovery would lead to both their deaths.
There was also the matter of fuel. They were both in need of it, he was certain. They had traveled such a long way...
He turned to Cyberwarp, his expression pained.
"My friend, I'm sorry. I said I would help you get away from the war, and yet here we are on its front lines."
Twomp’s sensors perked hearing something she looked away from the wrecked car bumper she had been Peeling apart, she was lonely in the Autobot base and while she was loyal they hadn’t returned in a long time, the lights stopped working awhile ago, but the noise so close by to the base made her slightly excited. Maybe they finally came back? She put the bumper down and started stalking thru the forest she wasn’t the quietest but her years on her homeworld taught her how to sneak up on people. However this wasn’t her world and the trees were to easy to crush in both of her forms. So as silent as she tried she found it hard to sneak up on something when in comparison she usally waited for a animal to pass by for her to capture. So she instead made her way steadily to the noise relying upon her sensors to find the source.
Was she excited, more then she liked to admit. She hadn’t seen that many Autobots since Slash passed through her territory, if she could reunite with her friends it would make all the waiting worth it. However as she once knew a saying something like ‘always be disappointed’ or something like that. But he always was a downer, and she didn’t let him keep her down. Granted if she saw him again she would hug him to death proably.
Cyberwarp followed closely to Wing in the skies, thoughts lingering on the events miles and miles behind her. They finally escaped Cybertron and the war, only to find themselves far deeper into the war than they ever would have liked. Who knew that the Autobots and Decepticons had journeyed this far, but the fact that they had bothered the femme nearly as much as the terrifying thought of Megatron being on the same organic planet. More organic life was being thrown into a war they had nothing to do with, resulting in further bloodshed.
Just how many more lives had to end before their race realized just what they had done?
As she noticed her friend was starting to make his descent, Cyberwarp followed suit landing not too far away from the other. Honest she was just happy to have his company, but the look upon his faceplate was enough to break her spark. He.. felt bad for all of this? She truly did not want to feel like a burden, but and the last thing she wanted was for Wing to feel she was becoming one.
"Wing, I.. you couldn't have known. I couldn't have either, but.. I don't know. If they're already here, where else can we go? Before long we'll need supplies. I'm just.. glad to have you." The former Decepticon reached out her hand to take Wing's into her own, wanting to offer even the slightest bit of comfort. Had she come to this planet alone she might have bolted and doomed herself in the process, but to have someone like this by her side kept her calmer and let her think just a bit more rationally. Sure there were trials ahead, but it felt good to have someone she could count on.
She hadn't quite yet noticed the other presence in the area just yet, having been focused on trying to make Wing feel better about the situation first.
Wing's spark sick expression softened slightly as Cyberwarp took his hand. He forced himself to take a steadying vent. He was so used to being alone, left on the fringe by compatriots who cared for him but regarded him as something of an oddity. He was unaccustomed to the constant presence of another, and his immediate response was to assume the position of protector. It was easy for him to forget that Cyberwarp was strong in her own way. He was in danger of being coddling, and that wasn't something he wanted.
"I am glad for your presence as well," he squeezed her hand gently before venting, "You're right.I the war has spread so far, there may not be anywhere else to go. We certainly won't make it far without supplies even if we did try to leave..."
He paused then, expression shifting thoughtfully. He had always thought both sides to be at fault in this conflict, and still believed it to be so. While the Decepticons were certainly the more aggressive side, the Autobots had their sins as well. And now the war was on a new world, a world full of fragile lives and frightened bots tossed in the proverbial storm.
"But is fleeing the right answer...?" He murmured, thinking aloud.
His optics brightened as his expression changed. He renewed his grip on Cyberwarp's hands, a surge of determination flooding him.
"Cyberwarp, I've been known to allow my spark to run away with me, so allow me to think out loud. For millennia, this war has devastated world's, and here on Earth, the life forms as so fragile compared to us. I know we're only two, and this will require a great deal of courage, but what if that's our role here? To keep this world safe from the war?" he released one of herhands to gesture, "And for supplies, we should likely seek to trade with the Autobots. They are likely to at least listen. We could find a safe place to establish ourselves. Intervene only when necessary to protect the Earth."
He was caught up in their conversation enough not to notice the signs of approach.
Twomp tore through several trees so she could see the people talking, her excitement died as she realized she didn't recognize either of them, she wanted to start tearing into her car back home in frustration, she had done this several times, all the time it was humans or something else, causing her to return home defeated and tear into the old truck she found in the bottom of a lake, letting her frustration out so that she wouldn't destroy the base. However, her excitement returned when she saw they were cybertronians. She immediately bounded forward and attempted picked one of them up to ensure they weren't just objects, she completely forgot about the fact she had enemies of friends, as her friends usually would point her towards the enemy but they weren't here now so there was no guarantee that they weren't enemies, regardless she shouted, ”You are real! I are met other, but I are not find again! You are talk air find friends! Please!?”
The massive chimera like cybertronian in front of them looked incredibly odd, having seemingly massive arms with chunky legs it wouldn't be too out of the realms of possibility that this was her actual form instead of her alt form. There was an Autobot insignia on her and it was possible to laugh at the fact the moment they said Autobot she arrived. Regardless they had a very large femme in front of them who was excited, easily being one of the largest cybertronians they had seen. Her armor was full of dirt and organic matter that almost covered the various injuries she received from the war.
