The Hunter class is a type of frontline or enforcement frame type.
It's impossible to actually anticipate when someone with the 'hunter' frame type will appear because it's dependent on their carrier's frame and certain circumstances.
Hunters usually come in pairs and are usually a set of twins or a bonded pair.
Twins :
When hunters come as a set of twins one will be slightly larger and more heavily armored than the other. Each one is supposed to have something that the other lacks, making them a formidable fighting team. Typically speaking the larger frame will also have more weapons and pack more of a punch, making them ideal for actually doing the more dangerous parts of the fighting. His weapons will usually include multiple short range blasters and melee weapons.
The smaller and lighter of this pair will always have speed on their side as well an added boost to agility, battle tactics, and scanner range. This member of the hunting team is usually the one to 'flush out' whatever prey they are actually trying to deal with. This individual will outpace the larger partner and run the prey to ground either from exhaustion or intent so that the slower partner has the chance to arrive. This part of the pair typically has longer range weapons and communications ability as well as blades hidden all over their person.
As a rule, this particular sort of Hunter despise being different and will do a lot to keep themselves as similar to one another as possible. At least in the physical sense. This is in order to more successfully confuse their prey while on a hunt.
Bonded Pair :
Hunters that meet rather than are sparked together typically become sparkmates very quickly. Their frame types can vary, but they are always a land type. They are well matched and compliment each others fighting techniques. They form a hunting bond which allows them to predict one another's movements almost to the instant they make them.
This form of hunting pair are capable of producing offspring that are also hunters, then called a 'hunter-born'. The pair can be two mechs, a mech and a femme, or two femmes and still be a viable set.
Instinct and Protocol :
Hunters run some very advanced programming that helps them do what they do and move as a cohesive unit. This includes the ability to move in exact timing of one another and predict the movements of their partner as well as their prey. Unfortunately, sometimes these protocols will goad them into chasing something that isn't their primary goal. Untrained pairs will often become damaged in minor scuffles in the early stages of their partnership or if they are very young. For this reason their numbers are very limited.
A hunter after prey will never give up, and they are some of the most tenacious of all Cybertronians.
