Player Alias: Liana_Walter
Character Name: Prowl [IDW G1 Universe]
Allegiance: Autobot
Appearance Description: Standing at seventeen feet tall in his bipedal form Prowl's frame is a study in sleek lines and compact efficiency. His frame is dual toned black and white to match the enforcer police vehicle he becomes in his altmode. His faceplates and parts of his torso and legs are a steel gray color in his bipedal mode, but these colors aren't seen in his altmode. His head is designed like a helmet, with a set of red 'horns' spanning out from his forehead. He has blue optics, being an Autobot. His bipedal form also shifts his doors to his back where they spread out behind him as doorwings.
In his alternate mode, his Autobot sigil appears on the left rear side as well as on the steering wheel of his interior and is the form of a Saleen S281E police car. His altmode lacks the push bar in the front.
Personality: Calm and observant, Prowl is in posession of almost endless patience and prefers it when things function in an orderly fashion. He's composed and has impeccable control of his emotions and his temper, making it very difficult to get under his plates and irrate him. He's quiet and prefers to read and play games of logic in what little down time he allows himself. He's also a workaholic, oftentimes pushing himself to exhaustion before even considering taking a break. He's a tenacious opponent and a stalwart friend, loyal to a fault and competent in all military matters.
Though he hides it well Prowl is a very passionate mech, and believes strongly in the concept of everyone having a true mate out there in the universe. He guards his spark and is wary of trusting anyone outside his small circle of friends. He has the tendency to believe everyone will betray him, and has plans in place to deal with that event should it take place. He's also a very private mech and doesn't flaunt his relationships, in order to keep those closest to him safe.
He holds a strong dedication to logic and things that function in a more orderly, logical fashion. This, unfortunately, leaves him lacking in the social skills that most of his peers have. He's a stickler for the rules and has a hard time 'winding down' even when he's not on duty, making it hard for him to get along with his fellow Autobots. He also doesn't deal well with the unexpected, which can sometimes literally cause his processor to crash.
Strengths + Weaknesses: Prowl is a gifted military strategist and tactician, and assists in the planning of most of the Autobot's battles. His patience allows him to outthink his enemies when he can't overpower them, and he's constantly planning for future contingencies. He's agile and fast, but lacks the sheer physical power for close combat. Prowl is capable of outpacing many of his larger and heavier armed companions, and though he prefers not to fight if he doesn't have to is capable of rapid 'hit and run' attacks.
His tendency to cling to the logical, and the subsequent crashing of his processors when things don't go as planned means he can be made unconscious for long periods of time if someone manages to overwhelm his processors with their actions. He has learned to compensate for this by staying away from those mechs that have the ability to do this to him, but this doesn't negate the fact that its one of his primary weaknesses. Though fast Prowl isn't as heavily armed as some of his fellows and is better suited to issuing orders than actually fighting. His doorwings are one of his major weaknesses. Even as they provide him with long range communications they are also highly sensitive and if misaligned can cause extreme pain as well as throwing off his balance. For this reason Prowl prefers to not have anyone directly at his back.

History: Prowl came into being in the city of Praxus, but was quickly moved to Petrex for reasons only his creators know. Here he learned to appreciate and adhere to the rules of the city and flourished under the firm hand of his instructors. Discipline and structure made up his formative years in Petrex, which was a strictly functionist town wherein saying anything bad about your alternate mode could get a mech thrown into jail. He eventually went into Cybertronian police work and had the tendency to overthink many of his assignments due to his overactive processors. It was here that he would meet one Orion Pax, and together they would uncover a Senate-sanctioned plot to brainwash and use Decepticons.
Once the war started Prowl would choose to serve with the Autobots. He served for many years under Sentinal Prime, and later on under Zeta Prime after Sentinel's untimely death. He has served since the beginning of the war, despite his disagreement with Zeta Prime before Zeta was ultimately taken down and Orion became Optimus Prime. He has served Optimus ever since that point, loyally and without fail. As the war carried on Prowl would begin disagreeing more and more with Optimus' orders, and when the time came to abandon Cybertron was one of the ones that protested the strongest.
As the war moved to Earth Prowl would be one of a detachment of Autobots that operated covertly on Earth for close to four years in order to foil an insurgency led by Starscream.
It is here that Prowl's memory fails him. He knows that Prime is on Earth and that things are different than his memory banks tell him, but at present, he keeps his thoughts to himself. He still serves Optimus, but can't recall the gap between his assignment on Earth and Optimus' eventual arrival. As a matter of fact, he can't remember the arrival of many of those that weren't serving with him in his original assignment. He hasn't spoken to anyone about this fact and has chosen instead to deal with it at his own discretion.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
Why was it always this way when he happened to be in proximity to this particular Decepticon? It was a point that his every strategy derailed on each and every time it occurred. In fact, he'd experienced spark deep pain any time he so much as thought of giving the order to kill this particular Decepticon. As much as the other mech grated his nerves he couldn't conceive of him being killed. The other was a strong warrior, a gifted soldier, and someone that needed to be removed from the battlefield. As a tactician, as a soldier, he knew these things. Too bad everything else told him not to do it. Logic failed. He'd even had Ratchet check to make sure he didn't have some sort of processor error or virus lurking in his systems to keep certain 'cons safe from his machinations. He did not.
As he was briefly not needed on duty he contemplated what he knew of the situation. One; Barricade was a mech that needed to be destroyed. He was ruthless and killed relentlessly whenever they encountered him on the field. Two; that scenario caused pain and looped itself as an impossible thing to his processors. Three; there was no physical or program reason for this to be happening. Four; he did not want to tell anyone. It felt personal somehow. Five; This had only started happening since coming to Earth. Six; and finally, he became exceedingly restless and short tempered when the other mech was around, which was against his natural personality.
Perhaps it was time to talk to Jazz, who was one of the few mechs he trusted absolutely. Jazz would never betray his trust or his confidence, and the other was better versed in personal matters than he'd ever be. If he didn't absolutely know it wasn't true, he'd be calling the sparkmate phenomenon what was going on. But he knew that wasn't right, he knew it couldn't be that. That particular place in his spark was already spoken for, no matter how hard he fought against having that kind of weakness. It was nothing against Jazz, not at all, he adored Jazz in his own way, it was...It was knowing that they might not make it, and not wanting Jazz used against him, or he against the other mech, if such a connection were to be discovered between them.
