Huh. Elytra would have liked to think she had pretty good aim for vital body parts, but apparently she still had much to learn in the way of Mutacons. Her optical visor lit up at the mention of dissecting the fleshling with the spark though. That was an interesting specimen and she was going to get to the bottom of this.
The semi-liquid Mutacon filled Elytra's body, parts sliding under panels, wrapping around her internals, going into places she didn't know she had. It was a unique and euphoric experience to her. She needed to know if it's due to her Insecticon physiology or not. Pulsar was another fascinating subject, and she'd love to experiment more with her.
The Mutacon shifted Elytra's panels around, enlarging her wing skirt into something longer. Her blue-green armor folded away and reshaped into something more slender and more pink. Her entire chassis grew in length as her abdominal armor was rearranged, Pulsar's chassis filling in where gaps formed. Four insectoid legs formed from her back as a sharp blade grew out from each of her wrists, incorporating her original alt-mode's legs. Various flat metal shards extruded from her head, forming what looked like oversize orchids in a ring around her helm. Her mouth was reconstructed, parts from Pulsar filling in as she pulled back her proboscis further into her throat, forming a jaw behind her mask, which she retracted. Elytra emerged from the combination a little overwhelmed. She could feel every atom in her body. Vaguely. The more she felt like she had a grip on where a particular atom was, the less she was sure of where it went the next moment. Weird. There was also this tug at the back of their mind, calling them. A symphony of voices, speaking as one, almost begging them to rejoin the fleet. To come home.
The combiner was pulled out of their thoughts when a canister hit them in the face. A bright flash blinded them and they glared in the general direction of the canister's owner. They transformed, regaining proper vision. They transformed into a large orchid mantis and crawled towards Redline. They were enraged, something that happened very rarely. The last time it happened was when Elytra regained her senses to discover Airachnid robbed her of a relatively normal life.
"Oh Redline," said the medic-Mutacon combiner. "You know we don't have many medics. Antagonizing us is the last thing you should do."
Elytra/Pulsar's insect mode forearms lashed out at the Decepticon, causing an audible crack from breaking the sound barrier. Capturing Redline with their arms was almost certainly guaranteed. Their serrated blades might even puncture his armor. Serves him right for attacking them.
