For a few moments, somberness seemed to return to Silentsky's expression. Spacewarp's words was now giving her pause to considering the possible embarrassing mishaps of falling and stumbling down the hall to her own quarters. In such a state, it would take longer than in a state of sobriety and would undoubtedly leave her a laughing stock depending on who she ran into. It was enough to cause her wings to rise up, seeming thoughtful for a full minute before she spoke again, her words still slurred.
"Then...what do you recommend?" She finally asked, meeting Spacewarp's gaze, not that her own swaying had stopped. "My options are limited Spacewarp, either I chance the walk, you end up my escort, or...I stick around here for the night." Silentsky pointed out, her wings falling flat against her back, but she couldn't help the sloppy smile returning. "Not that the last option is bad of course."
It was either she send Silentsky out stumbling through the hallways alone, or they both stumbled through them together. Spacewarp was much better at concealing just how drunk she was, but with the both of them paired together they might as well be a walking scene. Neither was an appealing option, which only made Spacewarp all the more elated to hear Silent's third proposal. She 'blushed' by allowing her wings to flutter to a degree, starting to like the new and emboldened Silentsky.
"Yeah..." was her first reaction, her words trailing off towards the end. Catching her admission, Spacewarp clarified her thoughts,"I mean, I would love to accommodate you for the evening." This was getting worse; her carefully crafted filter was evaporating, and soon there'd be nothing left. Spacewarp was in far too deep at this point now, so she might as well dive in. "Beats having either of us make fools out of ourselves in public, this way we can make fools out of ourselves to each other."
Silentsky almost missed what Spacewarp had sad entirely. Her optics had focused on her fluttering wings, finding it fascinating to watch in her drunken haze. Spacewarp's fluttering wings were strangely...adorable. She honestly failed to realize why they fluttered, she just couldn't take her optics off them until she realized the larger seeker was talking again.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Silentsky once more focused on Spacewarp's face as she listened. And she couldn't help the small grin breaking across her face plates, "There are far too many ways to do that Spacey, it'll be a long night." She mused, her words still slurring slightly, her drunken thoughts going to all sorts of scenarios and each one seemed more amusing or bolder than the last. And strangely, she found herself not regretting one. And now, Silentsky's wings were fluttering at some of the thoughts.
"But I should probably go easy on the affection, hm? Its probably a bit much, with all things considered..." Silentsky murmured, knowing despite such thoughts she probably shouldn't act on them, but her uninhibited mind was telling her otherwise.
Spacewarp was relieved to hear Silentsky calling her anything but Captain. The feeling that she was drinking with one of her subordinates back home was just too weird of an experience for her, plus she found Spacey to be endearing. There was only one person who was allowed to call her Captain while they drank, and Silent was well on her way to usurping that position. Spacewarp was still aware enough to spot their mutual wing-flutter, and subsequently how the smaller flier's optics were fixed upon her own wings.
Something about what Silentsky had just said and how she said it forced Spacewarp to pause for a moment. She'd really kicked the top off the cyberant hill now, whether she was aware of it or not. In her mind she had no choice but to respond the way she did, in spite of any reservations her energon-addled mind may have had. Spacewarp loosened her grip on Silent's shoulders, "I think we'll manage," before leaning down to place a drunken kiss on her companion.
'Kiss' was a subjective description, as Spacewarp spectacularly failed to hit her target. The significant difference in height between the two coupled with both their inebriated states prevented the taller Decepticon from hitting home. She instead planted a rather inaccurate kiss somewhere between Silentsky's forehead and her right audial. If she were a carbon based lifeform, Spacewarp would've been blushing an incredibly embarrassed shade of red as she unconsciously locked herself in place, eyes wide open at the revelation of what she'd just done.
Silentsky looked down curiously at Spacewarp's hands when her grip loosened. Perhaps what she had said had caused Spacewarp to pause and think? Or had she said something to disappoint her larger companion?
She was just about to ask if everything was alright before become completely caught off guard by not only Spacewarp's words but her next action as well. Spacewarp was leaning down, aiming for a kiss that missed by a mile, the larger seeker's lips pressed against her head in a sloppy attempt at a kiss and Silentsky's wings going up at full attention. She was in shock. All she could do was stare sideways up at her companion for the longest time, unable to find words or actions to express this shock...before the drunken thoughts returned and her expression turned into one of amusement, her crooked, drunken smile returning.
"Spacewarp, you were way off base." She chuckled softly, giving an unsteady step back, kicking on her thrusters at her heels to get some lift to be a bit more optic level with Spacewarp so she didn't have to lean down too far. But balancing herself in the air was hilariously difficult when her coordination was rather off. Nevertheless, she managed to spread her wings a bit for some balance, gently cupping Spacewarp's face in her much smaller hands, placing a gentle but sloppy drunken kiss on her companions lips, albeit still teetering in place and missing a few times.
Spacewarp's spark sank at hearing her friend's words, if only as an initial reaction. She'd done it, she had actually blown both their friendship, and whatever could have potentially come after. Not thinking clearly, she'd taken Silent's comment on the grounds that what she'd just done was extremely out of bounds and uncalled for. Silent's little half-step backwards was met by the immediate shuttering of Spacewarp's wings, believing her life to be over for all intents and purposes. "Silent, I-I'm so sorry, I d-didn't mean to-..."
She watched in mute awe as Silentsky began to hover up closer to head-height, still completely flabbergasted at what kind of turn this night had taken. Spacewarp stood frozen in place while Silent attempted several minute adjustments to her thruster stability, unsure of just what was happening. Then she felt Silent's hands pressed against her face. Her hands may have been small, but it was instead Spacewarp who suddenly felt very, very tiny.
Her ruby red optics were still stuck open when Silent kissed her back, clumsily. The surge of negativity that had been flushing itself through her system abruptly vanished. Spacewarp was finally able to close her optics and sink into the joyous feeling, still aware that Silent was struggling somewhat at getting her aerial footing. She promptly slid her arms around Silent, able to give her much more support than her over-energized propulsion system could, as well as the added benefit of being incapable of sending her into the nearest wall if she lost balance.
Once Spacewarp had slid her arms around her frame, Silentsky gratefully switched off her thrusters and leaned on her larger companion’s frame. Her body relaxed and her wings sagged, almost relieved to have the support rather than struggling to keep stability. In such a state as she was, Silentsky ran the unfortunate possibility of falling back, slamming into a wall, or worse, just from her sluggish mind trying to maintain the right propulsion and height she wanted.
Instead, Silentsky put all her focus on the kiss, her first one in fact, and enjoying the feeling it brought. She barely knew Spacewarp, had only gotten to know her much more that night, but that didn’t seem to have deterred her from her bold attempts, with engex only encouraging her to do so. It had felt right somehow, despite her more sober self would have held reservations of rushing things, or being so bold to share such an affectionate action.
Wings giving a slight flutter of delight, the smaller femme finally pulled her head back, breaking the brief intimate contact. “Are your worries alleviated Spacewarp?” She inquired with a soft smile, having seen the worry and fear in her companion’s expression before she had given the former captain a proper but clumsy kiss.
She could've offlined right there on the spot, and she would've been happy regardless. Silentsky was just the perfect size to be held tightly against her chest, and Spacewarp had no intention of dislodging her in the immediate future. She felt Silent's thrusters switch off, leaving her full weight nestled in her arms. It was hardly substantial in a realistic sense, Spacewarp had been conditioned to handle quite a lot; Silentsky was a heavy weight, but not one that caused her any undue stress.
Spacewarp's wide-eyed optics blinked twice as Silent pulled out of their kiss, still awestruck to some degree. She hadn't ever been one to believe in magic, but this was something, alright. "Y-yes..." she nervously answered, her tone structured as if she were answering a question on a routine physical exam. "Yes... I'm fine..."
Where any other rational bot would've kept up the conversation, Spacewarp's mind began to trail off. She began to pace around the room, yet refused to drop Silentsky, carrying her along as if she were a charming piece of field equipment. "Oh, Primus... I've never done that before..." she started, her optics going wide upon hearing her own words. "I-I don't mean kissing another Decepticon before, no! I've just never been the kind of superior to flirt with her subordinates... NO! You're not my subordinate, and I'm nobody's superior anymore. It's just that the last time this happened, she outranked me and just picked me up and carried me off and told me how beautiful she thought I was, and-"
She paused, taking a moment to collect her thoughts properly before she ended up spilling out any more aloud. "I'm sorry. I've made a weird situation even weirder," Spacewarp continued, still holding on to Silent in spite of the latter no longer needing her balance. Thinking quickly, and drunkenly, Spacewarp planted a second quick kiss on Silent's lips. It was a silent display, and the only viable one as words had started to fail her, but an effective one to say the least.
Somewhere in the Afterspark, Treadbolt was laughing. It had been nearly two million years, but somebody else had succeeded in shattering Spacewarp's cool and collected demeanor. If she were here now, she would've raised her drink to Silentsky.
Spacewarp's worries may have gone away somewhat, but her nervousness remained.
In a drunken haze, Silentsky couldn't quite think of a way to express sympathy towards Spacewarp suddenly feeling quite nervous. It seemed her actions had only made them worse, causing the larger femme to pace and start to ramble, and for the moment Silentsky could only listen. And she began to realize Spacewarp wasn't letting go of her anytime soon. Quite frankly, Silentsky found herself not quite minding remaining in the former captain's embrace, residing herself to nestling against her larger's companion's frame, listening and watching with sympathetic green optics.
Once more however, Silentsky was left surprised as Spacewarp went in for a second kiss, her wings briefly rising up before relaxing again. She was more than happy to return it, leaning into the kiss for a little bit and resting one of her hands on Spacewarp's cheek once more, "Spacewarp..." Silentsky finally spoke, gently breaking the kiss again, "I think you're overthinking this whole situation." Her words were still slurred and she was probably not make the greatest of sense, but her drunken mind said otherwise. "Maybe we should just rest." For a moment she paused, remembering what remained of the engex. "Or finish the engex and then rest."
It was probably not the greatest proposal of Silentsky's social career, but in her mind it seemed like it. If even to help her companion relax and get her bearings.
Silent was right; her mind was practically orbiting around itself at the moment. Her words were successful at reassuring the larger seeker that she wasn't absolutely out of her mind, and her nervous tirade ceased. There was a lot of stuff packed up behind the layers of Spacewarp's mind, and dumping it all out here wasn't benefiting either of them. She let the tension flow out of her shoulders, leaning her head against Silent's hand. They both were in need of a well-deserved rest after tonight, so Spacewarp carried the both of them down to the nearest comfortable-looking corner, sitting down.
"You're right, I'm sorry," she apologized once more. The more she read the situation the more she began to pick up on the fact that Silent wasn't against it at all; though, some of that needed to be attributed to the engex. "We can rest now.." She leaned her head back, pondering just what it was that she was getting the both of them into, before she glanced back down at Silent. For the first time Spacewarp looked into them deeply, past the beautiful shade of emerald-green. She smiled back at them, "This was nice, though. I like spending time with you, Silent."
Seeing Spacewarp visibly relax, Silentsky couldn't help feeling some satisfaction she could get the larger seeker to finally see past her nervousness. Some reassurance seemed to be the best remedy in this situation, and she had surprisingly nailed that. 'Can't rest with a worried mind.' The smaller seeker thought to herself, remaining leaning into the larger femme's frame once she had settled some place.
"Thank you again for inviting me Spacewarp." Silentsky answered in response, returning her smile as she met Spacewarp's gaze with her own. "I'm glad I got to know you better, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with you in the future." She told her, her smile never leaving her face plates but she gave a soft yawn and stretched a little. Rest definitely sounded good right now. "For now, rest well, we've definitely earned it." Silentsky murmured, relaxing in Spacewarp's arms and soon drifting into some much needed recharge.
While she was certainly accomplished enough to have persisted on a little longer, Spacewarp didn't see a point to it. She'd already been slowly slipping into a recharge state, and the prospect of having Silentsky nestled up on her in the meantime only accelerated the desire for sleep. Somehow, everything had turned out just right tonight, despite Spacewarp's 'attempts' at botching it up. The only lingering thought in her mind as she drifted off to sleep was about just what was going to happen when either of them woke up in several hours, but resigned herself to the pleasant feeling wrapped around her spark.
Some time later...
Despite originally falling asleep in a corner, Spacewarp had somehow managed to tilt herself onto the floor. She was still unconsciously holding onto Silent, who she luckily hadn't fallen over on. With a spark in her brain module, her body signaled that her recharging period was over. A pair of ruby red optics fluttered open, groggily. Spacewarp still wasn't adjusted to the light and could hardly see that clearly in front of her. Still stationary, she racked her brain over and over again, trying to recall a clear picture of last night.
Several hours later, Silentsky’s own recharge period had ended. But, the femme took a little longer to start moving right away save for her emerald green optics slowly opening, her processor aching more than it ever had. Not since she had last drank well into her limit or above; she couldn’t quite remember which it was as of last night. The only thing that registered in her processor was being hung over and her optics struggling to adjust to the light.
Quite frankly, the smaller seeker didn’t feel like wanting to move. She didn’t have any duties to attend to right away, so her next thought was just to turn over and nestle back wherever she was recharging before…until the it struck her. Had she even gotten back to her had suite last night? Because the night before didn’t entirely register other than her and Spacewarp talking, gradually moving into a series of drunkenness…
Her optics flew back open then, wincing from the bright light striking them but she nevertheless forced them to zoom in and back out to refocus. Once they had, the purple seeker began scanning her surroundings, recognizing that this was indeed Spacewarp’s quarters, and she soon found where exactly she was snuggled at, or who she was snuggled against was more like it. It was then her jaw dropped and her green optics widened with the realization, the night starting to flood back in bits and pieces but more than enough to piece together what had occurred…and she panicked somewhat internally, frantically pushing away from Spacewarp’s arms that were woven around her frame.
Still hungover however, Silentsky only accomplished in getting herself out of the larger seeker’s grasp and landing unceremoniously on her back, causing her to wince from the hard collision of her wings and aft meeting metal floor. “Ugh, that wasn’t my brightest idea.” She mumbled, her spark still racing in panic. Her thoughts were likewise in a flurry of panic and worry, worried she had overstepped her boundaries last night, gotten far too bold than she ever would be comfortable acting before she got to know someone more closely. By no means did she feel regret, strange as it was, but that didn’t stop her from worrying she had gone beyond what was appropriate.
“S-spacewarp? Are you awake?” She asked hesitantly, her voice still its normal tone but worry was clearly edged in it.
Though her optics were starting to adjust to the light, the sudden shifting of a substantial mass next to Spacewarp caused her to roll over, leaving her face to be well acquainted with the cold metal flooring. The motion caused her to experience just how stiff her joints felt as they bent to accommodate her new position on the ground. Flight in the next few hours was out of the question entirely, not that she had anywhere to be in a hurry.
Then, Silent's voice filled the gaps in her memory. Uh oh. They'd both had a lot to drink, and ended up kissing. A lot. Then they fell asleep in each other's arms, for an as of yet indeterminate period of time. Spacewarp hadn't had a night end quite like that in far too long. She mumbled a muffled response from the floor, if only to indicate she'd heard her companion's query.
"Aye..." she sluggishly replied. The hungover Decepticon braced her arm against the floor in an attempt to make herself more presentable, although she ultimately only managed to bring her head up with the gesture. Silentsky's posture was uncertain, and nervous; Spacewarp wouldn't have expected somebody who'd just woken up woven around a twenty seven ton Decepticon to be so happy about it.
"We did some things last night, didn't we..." she stated, sounding not that certain about it herself.
If Cybertronians could blush, Silentsky would be red in the face by now. Her first reaction was to only nod, the events she could recall right off the bat playing over and over in her mind. There was a reason she didn't drink much. "We did..." She responded, "Nothing too bad, but...some boundaries might have been crossed without us meaning for them to." Even as those words left her mouth, Silentsky couldn't be too certain of such a statement.
Maybe they had meant to.
Clearing her vocalizer, Silentsky finally pushed aside the nervousness and scooted a bit closer to the larger femme, "Looks like you need a hand getting up though. The floor certainly doesn't look like it was kind to your joints." She muttered, mostly trying to relax once more when the panic began to subside, but there was still that lingering feeling.
Pushing herself to her feet, the smaller seeker moved over to her companion, resting her hands on Spacewarp's shoulder, "And I...apologize for being so brash last night. I am usually much more collected than that." The femme apologized, offering her assistance to help the former captain up, if even to be in a more comfortable position than she was now. "But I'll admit, I do not regret what happened last night either Spacewarp." She admitted with a shy smile, her wings giving a small twitch, reflecting that returning shyness.
