Player Alias: @astrinal
Character Name: StormgearAllegiance: Autobot
Appearance Description: this artwork is the creation of CPT-Astrinal, respectively myselfAt first glance, Stormgear is a very petite femme. Standing at a rough 13ft, Stormgear's frame is entirely handicapped of it's strength. This makes her very weak, but increases her speed. Stormgear's armor is made of cyber-titanium alloy, giving her a chance to survive a blow from- well- any form of gun. Unless a fusion cannon, or heavy melee weapon. Her armor is pretty thick on her chestplate, lower arm, shins, feet, backplate, and helm. other areas on her body are slightly thinner, with the exception of her upper arms, which are TWIGS.
Stormgear's features are slightly smooth, besides the few sharp accents on her armor. Most of these pieces are either a light blue or pastel yellow. The rest of the pieces are chipped away greys or near-black shades. her visor is a vibrant yellow, which gives her opticals a green haste. However, if her visor is taken down, she has very vibrant blue opticals.
Personality + Character Traits: Stormgear is the sweet lovable type who wouldn't hurt a butterfly, well, that's what's normally shown. Stormgear always seems to be positive and optimistic, who's not very afraid to speak what she thinks. This It gets her in trouble a lot. Stormgear normally is the type you'd find talking to a friend to make them feel better, or the first to break an awkward silence with no sweat.
Unlike cybertronians her age, Stormgear has a very high intellect. Easily estimated at a iQ of 220, most would be dumbfounded by her intelligence. Most of her knowledge is on computer programming, a little bit of physics, chemistry, mathmetics, and technology anatomy, and a ton of useless information she uses in crafty ways.
>> When you first meet Stormgear, it's uncertain if her kindness is a good thing or a bad thing. It's highly likely that Stormgear will seek you out, or asks you one of her many strange questions. She'll probably introduce herself without reason, and begin to babble about how she was glad to meet them. And so forth. If one has a very charismatic personality, Stormgear could accidentally come off intimidating..
>> Around allies and friends, Stormgear is the oddishly kind outlier, and isn't afraid to make others feel better (even in the worst of times). She asks a lot of questions, and even babbles about her latest theory, or something she really wants to do. This means she can also get in trouble. She may accidently say something at the wrong time..
>> Around enemies, Storm tries to take violence into other manners. She was raised to use her words first, and will try to negotiate. Due to her lack of combat experience, Her second instinct will be running for cover, and eventually call for backup. Are you trying to sneak behind enemy lines? Running into Storm will be your worst nightmare.. in a sense. If Storm engages in combat, which is HIGHLY unlikely, Storm will merely attempt to block every attack you make. She won't hit back, but most likely will ATTEMPT to stun you with her electrical ability. Don't expect to get shot, her aiming is absolutely terrible with her glock.
In other cases, If an enemy is injured. Even if it's morally right, Stormgear will not hurt- or kill- any cybertronian. She feels that killing is wrong. If she feels like the situation calls for it, Storm may help the enemy. It just depends on what they offer. Even if they dont have anything, Storm can't stand to see people hurt.
Weaponry: >> plasma handgun
Small in size, this is a standard handgun used by some politicans back in the old day. It's very small, and is concealed easily. Stormgear's aiming is terrible with this gun, so she's not much of a threat.
>> Shield
A circular shield equipt with an activateable poton shield (1 post use, 2 post cooldown), Storm uses this to soak up a few hits from a bewildered enemy.
>> Short Sword
A traditional sword, Storm's gonna be slashing some folks.
>> EDU
This 'tool', known as the 'Electrical Dispersal Unit', is a built in electrical conductor inside Stormgear's chestplate. To add to this, she has coils built into her heels, wrists, and shoulders. The main conductor inside Storm's chestplate can create electricity, but only enough to make sparks, or a very short shock. The EDU relies on outside sources, absorbing any electrical currents into the body. So if Stormgear is shocked, or electrocuted, Stormgear will absorb it. However, if Stormgear gets to a certain point, she MUST release the energy. The more energy she holds, the more stress it is on herself and possibly her spark..
Tiers:1 ~ shock / spark (default 0 post cooldown)
2 ~ short bolt / burst (medium storage, 2 post usage, 3 post cooldown)
3 ~ EMP burst (high storage, used to diminish stored energies. 1 post use, 10 post cooldown)History: Stormgear has never been able to recite her early childhood. She never saw Cybertron, even on it's last days. Storm believes she was born at the very start of the exodus, and was adopted by a mech known as Medalink, a young medical officer on a smaller energon-carrier. The ship was one that had left cybertron in the eariler phases of evacuation. She was also (apparently) born with the EDU, despite it's near artifical properties.
Due to her childhood environment, It was very hard to do things a normal kid would do. Sparklings were rare, so she wasn't able to grow up with kids her age. She was treated like an adult, as long as she acted like one. Most of the time, she tried to keep herself together. But even Medalink couldn't deny her bubbly personality. As much as Medalink tried, teaching Stormgear how to read and write was hard, which slowly became a learning barrier for her. However, she slowly wandered into the world of coding, and pictures from anatomy textbooks in her adoptive father's office. These were the first steps of her intelligence..
Over the course of many years, Stormgear eventually was aloud to help in the med bay. She did more minor things, such as keep the computers for the records up, fix things, and even help clean and treat very minor wounds. She even went as far as to investigate her edu, opening up her wrists and heels with the help of her father. She slowly gathered data on this.. 'ability' she had. And how it wasn't like others..
Then the worst thing happened. Her exodus paradise was destroyed in a decepticon ship ambush, the raid killing most of the crew. Stormgear was separated from her father, which she evacuated herself into an escape pod. While the doors closed, she swore she saw her father killed. But was never able to confirm it...
Now on earth in a crashed escape pod, Stormgear has no idea if her father is alive. And if he is, where he may be.
Roleplay/Writing Sample: ~ interior database rebootingThe electronic voice woke Stormgear up. Her head swam in a sea of pain from the changed pressure. Something felt wrong. She didnt feel as if she was floating. A slow dread of surprise filled her: she wasn't in space anymore. She was now on a land mass. As she patted herself for a seat buckle, Storm found herself hanging forward. She was upside down.
Storm unbuckled herself anyways, smacking her head on the roofing of the pod. The rest of her body soon followed, and finally a loud groan. Storm fidgited to her left, then forward, until she was free to sit on her skidplate. She froze when she saw the computer screen. Words, all words. She bit her lip, trying to figure out what it said. She punched a few buttons out of panic to finally initiate the right one.
~ commencing pod hatching" Jeez, this thing doesnt know how to say things normally.. " Storm grumbled, her words drowned out by the door's hissing. without a second, it fell open. The light outside burned her opticals. She squinted hard.
" Jeez, who turned that light on.. "After a few minutes, Storm dragged herself out of the pod. She had landed in a green environment with green poles sticking out of the ground. They had similarly smaller poles coming out of them, and a green condensation. She scanned the area on her scanner. What she found was amazing.
" Oh wow, Carbon based! " She her voice skipped.
" Thanks soooo cool! "After a moment, she looked around. Uhhh, where was she?
