"They are quite diverse, aren't they?" said Perceptor. "I don't see an equivalent to the Well of All Sparks in this planet. Their biology should be an interesting study."
As Perceptor entered the ship, he told Warpath, "I'll need the wrench."

“Wrecker... Standard issue? Alright, yep, I’m gonna be a Wrecker. Definitely.”
Of course when he said that, Chris had no idea being a Wrecker was in his blood/energon, given he knew nothing about his biological father. Beyond him being a Praxian of some sort. He listened closely to their conversation but only added anything when Perceptor mentioned their biology added. “Yeah, we’re really different.”
As soon as Perceptor entered the ship, Chris’ nerdier side kicked in. And of course, still being a kid, he looked at Warpath. “Can I go in and see! Please?” Knowing he had told him to stay put but... We’ll this was a literal spaceship.

Warpath turned his head to meet Chris's eager gaze, shooting a subtle glance back to Perceptor.
"Pow... alright, just don't touch anything," he answered, before beckoning the hybrid inside. Saying this, he casually passed a wrench over to Perceptor.
"They don't exactly have rolling microscopes, so you've got limited options."

Perceptor took the wrench and unscrewed one of the panels.
"I am quite certain you have seen my other alternate mode before," Perceptor said, tinkering with the circuits. "Military vehicle? Using a combination of electromagnetic repulsion and rocket thrusters? Abnormally large cannon?" Now that he thought about it, wasn't his telescope on his left shoulder? His memory had never failed him before. He decided this matter required further investigation.
Now that the circuits are fixed, Perceptor accessed the internet. "Reformat."
Scanning beams projected from around the ship made a grid over Perceptor's chassis, and various parts modified their appearances and functions to better resemble the half-track vehicle and electron microscope alt-modes he chose.
After a quick cycle into his new alt-modes and back, Perceptor was ready to go.

"Yes! Thanks pops!"
As Chris ran inside, he didn't really have time to think about what he'd just said. Given he was so used to using the phrase with his deceased father. He supposed it was just reflex, but he still felt his face flush a bit as he realized what he had said. "Man this place is nuts," he said as he tried to get his mind off of it, though he jumped at the appearance of the grid. "Whoa! What just happened!? Am I still standing?" He asked, hardly noticing the change in Perceptor.
Of course, he noticed once he transformed and said: "Oh". "Well, uh, just ignore that little freak out."

Warpath folded his arms as Perceptor went about his brief repairs, listening as the scientist described one of his alt modes. Come to think of it, that description reminded Warpath of something, "Thanks for noticing," he responded, patting the cannon on his chest.
He wasn't quite sure what Chris meant by 'pops'. In his mind, it was because Warpath was so proficient at popping the heads off of Vehicons.
The Autobot turned his thoughts back to Percy, "Pow... bam... I think that'll work for the humans. They'll never know they're in the presence of a rolling observatory."

"We should return to the Autobot base," suggested Perceptor, shutting the systems back down. "The spacecraft will be fine. We can fix it later. How did you get here?"

Chris was thankful that Warpath hadn't seemed to catch on. Busy inspecting every inch of the ship like Chris was though in a different way. Chris was utterly mesmerized by all the hi tech stuff inside of here and it was awesome.
At Perceptor's question, he raised his hand. "Oh, I know! We took the ground bridge! Which is awesome. Apparently it takes you anywhere on Earth you want to go," he then added. "We should take it to like... Hawaii or something to warm up not gonna lie."

Warpath didn't know what a Hawaii was, but it sounded warm. He kicked off a bit of snow that had gathered on his foot, addressing Perceptor, "We still had to hoof it up here through the blam... snow, though."
That rhymed.

"Then we should start returning to the Autobot headquarters," Perceptor said, and transformed. "I have to admit it is quite unfortunate that the range of our traversable wormholes have been reduced from anywhere in the universe to the skin of a dust mote."

“Wait anywhere in the universe?” Chris’ eyes widened in delight at the actual thought of it. “Really? Warpath can we actually do that? I want to go to Mars! Now I’m convinced there are Martians!” He explained, chattering away as he got ready to head out.
