Characters: Stormgear | @knockout | @breakdown Location: Somewhere in the French Alps Content Warnings: N/A Plot Summary: A deception originated escape pod crash lands in the alps, knockout and breakdown are sent to investigate. Little do they know there's a surprise in the pod...
The sky thundered as a decepticon escape pod barreled out of it’s thick white covers. It’s burning hot exterior made it look like rudolph's nose, only bigger and probably swollen. After a few seconds of ungodly speed, the pod crashed into the uninhabited recesses of the alps. It hit the mountain side, near the base of it, and was buried halfway in snow due to the impact. The pod laid on it’s side, the door pressed into the ground. The user inside was pinned. The mountain would rumble for a few hours, no doubt avalanches would soon come… but only to the unexpected.
Stormgear woke up as soon as the pod hit the mountainside. The interior shook violently, which caused Storm to slam her helm against the side of her chair. The pain became overwhelming easily, hardly able to keep the pain in. She groaned, no doubt. She didn’t get time to attend to it, due to the near-flipping rotation in her stomach. The pod was falling. It all ended with a violent jolt, forcing her forward. Luckily, the seatbelt caught her, keeping her in her chair.
The few moments afterwards was enough time for a groan to implement itself. She brought a hand to her helm, feeling a small amount of liquid on it’s side. Energon. She grumbled a few words, attempting to wipe it with her servo. It worked, but more lifeblood took it’s place. She hung there quietly, until an electronic voice filled the silence.
~ sending emergency signal to the nearest decepticon outpost.
Immediate panic filled her. She turned towards the single monitor and pressed buttons. "No! Abort, override command, cancel! Bad computer!" She yelped. But as much as she tried to stop the auto computers, the signal was sent. Stormgear frowned. I hope one of the autobots gets MY message first. she thought. She’d sent her message out in orbit. That was the reason why she came here anyways. I have no intentions of having a decepticon slumber party.
A ping came up and Breakdown, despite all his foibles lately of not being around usually when he was needed--not that he knew why--turned his helm to look toward the computer with his one remaining optic. He tromped over to it to try to unload the data signal that they had just received. Jackpot! Probably one of their own if the computer was to be believed.
"Hey! Hey Knock Out! We got somethin' real interesting!" He bellowed, looking to the medic with a huge grin. "Bet this will make up for all the missing lately, right?"[/color] Oh, he would have winked--if he had two optics. But as it stood he had one optic, one optic-patch. So instead it was the cheeky grin.
He was already set to open the Groundbridge when Knock Out gave the signal. After all, that was one of his favorite jobs to do alongside his partner. Just open the Groundbridge and take off toward whatever was calling for them. Even if he had to be careful and turn his head so as not to get blindsided on his literal blind side.
Knock Out had heard the little "beep" of the computer. Usually this is Soundwave was in charge of that kind of thing, but he was currently absent. Impossible to say where he is, but he was surely with Megatron. Speaking of their leader, by the way, had put in charge the two robots because the last vehicons… Who have had created problems. A false alarm and total panic on board, only in ten minutes. Meg' was very angry and decided to put more competent people for this job… but Breakdown was not delicate with hardware in general and the doctor wanted to do nothing, just go back to the infirmary to redo his paintjob… again.
He came close to her friend, sending behind him a torch that he had in hand. He had to threaten a soldier who criticized his way of working. The poor was right. Repairing computer's circuit with a blowtorch was stupid. That's why the red robot was a doctor, not computer scientist or engineer.
- What is it? Predaking still making a fool out? Shockwave have yet told him to stay aboard and make no troubles.
He was totally wrong. It was a real signal from a Decepticon ship who… crashed probably. So, some Decepticon still stay in space? Yes. But not a lot.
- Why are you smiling like thi-- … Oh. Yes, this could help... No time to waste.
Knock Out turned to the vehicons in the command room. He asked them to work while they are away, and to refer to Starscream as needed, of course. Where was that guy again, by the way? So he told to go ask Dreadwing in the worst case. Breakdown entered the coordinates and the bridge appeared, in perfect time to reflect on his perfect red body.
- Let's go buddy.
“Buddy”? Haha, so cute! He paused, realizing what he just said. He was too familiar with his friend in public. The soldiers were holding their laugh. The doctor rubbed his optics with his hand.
- ... Next time I say that, hit me, please.
And he crossed the bridge. The adventure shall begin! Knock out still prevent him from being too friendly, but it was difficult with breakdown. They are good friends now, though inconceivable and even not allowed between Decepticons.
It was to late, the signal had sent. Stormgear grumbled a few curses before kicking at the pod exit. Her small stature and lack of strength didn’t budge it. Not only that, but the door was sealed by the earth, due to it’s position on the door-side. With a few angest grunts, she slumped against her seatbelt. The bands were also bugging her. Sometimes, such as moments like this, all she wanted to do was scream at the world.
But she knew better. Keep it together Storm.
Stormgear slowly began to undo her seatbelt, due to the discomfort of imprisoning entanglement. This, however, was an easy fix. Storm’s servo transformed into small exacto knife, which cut the belt and release her. The youngling fell forward, smacking the metal interior of the pod. More pain, just what she needed. She rolled onto her backplate, taking in the cramp freedom. Without help from the outside, Storm was stuck in the pod.
Then a groundbridge signal popped up on one of the scanners. She pulled herself up and took a peak. The bridge revealed two decepticon signals. Not what she was hoping. She wished they were vehicons, but she doubted it. Her only chance of seeing an autobot was running for her life. Being disarmed had it’s really bad disadvantages.
Now, Breakdown couldn't always be all that great with technology. He was rather ham-fisted as it was and his big fingers weren't exactly designed for small buttons. But Primus be damned, he tried, oversized fingers or not, one optic or two. At least he was competent enough to operate a computer, in any case. He'd been the one to communicate with Vehicons a few times on some of their missions. After all, it was a thankless job for the poor Vehicons and he knew a little bit about being the so-called "little guy"--at least, when it came to rank.
He himself sighed; he would glare to the vehicon to lip at him to back away slowly and appease Knock Out later. He would then give a confused look.
"Ain't Predaking. His signal's more distinct than this. It's like one of our escape pods or ships, you know?"
Aha, it seemed that Breakdown's smirk had gotten to Knock Out and helped him realize what was up. This little crashed ship could have someone aboard that was among their own ranks. If not, someone with information about the Autobots, be it friend, or Autobot.
He seemed to cast a sharp gaze to a few of the vehicons when they started snickering. "Alright guys, not funny, get back to work or I'll literally do the creepy optic thing again." The one advantage to his current one-optic disadvantage was that he had a creepy trick to do with his optic at the same time. It was something he used as a way to settle the vehicons down if they were getting too rowdy. Even he had his moments of knowing when those Vehicon soldiers were getting a little too rowdy for their own good.
"Hammer or fist?" He seemed to joke around, though he tried to keep it more professional. Not that he liked things just being professional. Knock Out was a friend, a trusted confidante to him. Someone who didn't make him paranoid that he was about to become Breakdown-kebabs care of the gorgeous spider lady. Mind you, he knew she was creepy. He knew she was creepy even if she was gorgeous. That's what made her even more forbidden than Knock Out's friendship.
Once he got through the groundbridge, he started searching around for the source of the signals. He then smirked upon spotting it. "Hey, hey Knock Out. Over here. I think we're gonna need to 'surgically' open this thing, don't you think?"
Sometime, Knock Out wished to not be a Decepticon. Why? Because he wasn't totally himself. Yes, he was vain, imbued with his own person, and nothing seemed to count more than his own appearance. Exactly what the problem was. It was a mask. It was false. He was always worried about his friend. Yes, every day. Every time he looked at him, he saw Breakdown's missing optic. It reminded him of his failure. He had not protected him. He was incompetent. The red bot was weak and unable to defend himself so… protecting his friend in distress was unthinkable. He would never be strong enough. Then the only thing he could do was to pretend that he was not attached. Yet he supposed Breakdown knew the truth and that's what made him feel less guilty.
Have the huge bot at his side was something amazing, all the time, but… yes Break' have his problems too. He does not pay attention to his strength and often breaks the medical equipment, which puts Knock Out into a rage every time… But he's his friend, so it end generally by a mutual “Sorry” and that's all. An other problem was this stupid bug. Arachnid. She makes Breakdown charming. Ko hate that. Why? First: She is dangerous, and will probably eat him (Yeah the doctor hate bugs). Secondly: She don't truly like him. It's just manipulation for her own interest. Thirdly: If someone needs to be dredged, it's the doctor! ... For him, he is the most beautiful aboard... he thinks.
His friendship was complicated. He refused to confess and did not have the right to have one. That's why, sometime, he wish to not be a Decepticon… Just to have a friend, for real, and don't have to hide it.
This mission was a great way to enjoy Breakdown's presence. No one his here for obstructing them anything, and nobody can see them. If they brings something interesting, this day will be perfect.
- I personnaly prefer your hammer, but do what you want.
He replied to the joke. Yeah, he like his friend's joke. He passed next to him, patting his arm, and turned his arm to a circular saw. Perfect to open the door of a damaged ship.
- Like you say, surgery will do the work. But who said it had to be done smoothly?
He added before beginning to cut the door. This will take time, but it works. He was focused and does not care what was going on around him. The blue bot was here to stay alert for him.
- If you detect signals, please let me know? The Autobot will probably detect this ship soo-- … Wait. … It's stuck.
His saw, haha! He began to pull to escape. He forced on his foot to help, but it didn't work. He was started to be irritate. He stopped and turned his head toward his friend.
- Come and help me, you idiot!
Knock Out is always... delicate in his words, apparently.
Due to her situation, Stormgear could do- well- nothing. She sat against the interior podcasting, sitting quietly as she watched the two decepticon signals advance. She picked at her small blade nervously. She had no clue what the terrain was like, she had no clue who these two decepticons were, and she had no clue if backup was coming. In a sense, she treated this situation like the exodus: partly by herself.
I’ll be stuck in here if I hesitate when they open the pod. she thought. She moved her servo to scratch her chin. I’ll have to rush whoever is outside. My speed should catch them off guard..
Stormgear was removed from thought when voice emerged outside. They were behind her. "-I think we're gonna need to 'surgically' open this thing, don't you think?"
"Like you say, surgery will do the work. But who said it had to be done smoothly?"
Before it was to late, a saw cut through the pod’s frame. She was slow to move, the blade cutting her backplate. She bit back her cries of pain. This caused her back to revolt away from the saw, promptly to the left. She used the movement to get away from the wall in general, ultimately facing the saw. They were sawing the pod open!
Stormgear drew her forearm shield in defense, ready to rush out. She watched the saw as it became stuck on one of the computers. The lights in the pod flashed off, rendering the pod pitch dark. Must have cut the power line.
Breakdown could relate. At this point, he was staying out of fear; neutrals could be just as destructive and violent as a Decepticon, without the attachments. But he was loyal because he knew if he wasn't, he'd end up a fancy head on a pike. Or worse. A shining example to the troops in a brutal death. No matter what, honestly he was actually kind of sick of that feeling, but what could he do.
Honestly, if only Knock Out knew. Sure, Breakdown was infatuated with Airachnid--a little. She kind of hit his liking for the more creepy things. But he enjoyed Knock Out's company genuinely. He was beautiful, not just in that creepy way. And he was fun, loads of fun even if they sometimes bickered like what earthlings sometimes called an "old married couple". Or was it like "roommates"? Ah, human media was so confusing to the big, bulky, blue bot. But that was to be expected. He didn't pay attention to the movies at the drive-in-theatres like Knock Out did. Sure, the humans made some neat visual effects but it was all so boring. Unless it was those movies with the explosions and the gunfights and the humans kicking around other humans.
But honestly, if you asked him? This was why he liked missions. He didn't have to sneak off and be bored about humans yapping too much and not blowing things up enough. He didn't have to be watched like a falcocon all the time. And that, if you asked him, was the best part. He wasn't being watched when he was on a mission. He could cut loose and just shoot the breeze with Knock Out!
Oh, he preferred the hammer, did he? Get your processors out of the gutter! "When is it ever not hammer time?"
He seemed content to watch for the most part. No need to try to tug unless he had a good reason to tug. Right? Besides, he didn't want to accidentally damage Knock Out! That was almost equal to a death wish in and of itself!
"Ain't gonna be pretty, Knock Out. I'll buff you extra for this one. 'Cause I know you're not going to like what pulling you free is going to do to your paint job." Hey, if anything, at least Breakdown was honest. He clutched to Knock Out, starting to tug hard, squinting his remaining optic and gritting his dentae sharply. "Ya weren't kidding when you said you were stuck. Might hafta do this the other way."
Knock Out had made a bit of a crack in the door with the sawing, and Breakdown jammed his fingers tight into the crack. He then started tugging hard to split it, to release the pressure on Knock Out's saw in case and make it easier to remove. "Can ya get it out now? 'Cause otherwise step two is gonne be tugging at you again."
Breakdown and Knock Out, in fact, are just Amica Edura. So, two old friends. They always lives together, and that's make strong. This is their strength. Megatron himself is aware. That's whyBreakdown has assumed the title of medical assistant. Love is unpopular among Decepticon, but friendships are passable. The problem was actually what's happening everytime Break' touch KO: The red one feel… strange, at first. This is not really describable. It's not unpleasant. May be just embarrassing? Probably. The two don't know what is love, after all.
After that, an other problem was here… BD pulls too hard on his arm. The doctor winced and gritted his teeth to avoid moaning in pain. Fortunately his friend stopped him and found a solution. Remove metal allowed him to removing the blade of his saw.
- Thank you. Next time try to not pull my ar-- …………………………. hm.
His arm. The paint was ruined. He sighed to calm down.
- … Fine. Let's finish this quickly before I really get angry. … Breakdown, it's a great time to use you killer machine's skills with you hammer, I think.
The door was damaged. By typing in a few times, it should logically fall. The doctor drew up his saw. It will reuse it later, maybe? He preferred to get his electric trident. This can still be used. He stepped back, knowing that his friend was still a lot of breaks and collateral damage.
- After you.
He said, once to 5 meters. Yes, his paint is ruined, but the rest won't be today! Or at least, he will tries.
It was funny listening to the duo's conversations. One voice mentioned something about hammer time, giving away his melee weapon to Stormgear. Said voice was also very strong, due to his attempts to pull the other voice's saw out, and ultimately bending the pod to free said voice. The other one seemed worried about his paintjob, due to his almost-narcissistic tone. Said voice also wasn't strong, but may have dexterity. Or maybe a doctor, due to his surgical-like tool of a melee weapon.
With all of this data, Stormgear came to the assuption that she was fighting- properly running from two grown mechs. This made her press her shield closer to her, hearing the very distinct words of 'after you'.
Amica Endura, yes, that was the term for the relationship the big, buff bruiser had with the vain medic. It was why they were such an effective team, and why they did so well together. Some said that Amica Endura were stronger than just best friends--like it was one spark across two frames without being twins. And that was a great way to describe it; Breakdown knew Knock Out so well that he didn't even need two optics to be able to see what Knock Out saw in a situation, or even a brilliant processor to think what Knock Out was thinking. He just needed to know Knock Out like he knew himself. And frankly, Breakdown knew Knock Out like Knock Out knew buffing his chassis; that was to say, Breakdown knew Knock Out well. Well enough that sometimes he had the same pangs for Knock Out that he did when he saw Airachnid at times. But he wouldn't put Knock Out at risk. Not like he would the rogue spider-femme.
He drew a venting and winced. "Yeah...I'm definitely buffing that out. My fault." He knew it was his fault, and of course he would be willing to make sure that he fixed that damage as fast as he could when they got back.
Once he had the door pried just enough, he started pounding things down with his hammer, swinging hard. This door was going to be busted off its hinges, or else it wasn't HAMMER TIME. And when Breakdown was around, it was always hammer time. Or at least get-hammered time. Either way was normal for him. Hammering, or kicking back a cube of highgrade--if he could find it. Soon, part of the door was fairly busted off its hinge and he could see it sparking now at this point.
Breakdown regularly damage the painting of his friend, but he did not scold him. Why ? Because BD always apologize and fix his mistakes. Then he is his friend, too. The doctor rubbed the area where the painting was destroyed. He was make falling down a few painting tips. Even if it is destroyed, he prefers that it is not too ugly either.
- No problem. I'll take care of this later... I need to make more red paint before.
The two antagonists had no idea that there was survivors, and if they was too damaged, they will not keep from finish them … “discreetly”. Knock out do not like having too much work at the med' bay. They expected even more less to see an Autobot alive in this ship. The door was now broken and open. Thanks to his huge buddy. He was very effective in destroying and create entries. A perfect guard door. The doctor, he activated his headlights to see inside. Everything was dark and shabby. There were some dead bodies, too.
- So, we can bring some parts of ... bodies. Not the from ship. It seems like everything will collapse.
He said to his friend. But the most in danger was him. l was much smaller. Knock out looked around, lighting up like he could, passed near an area, stopped…. and returned on it.
- Hey! I think I saw something move!
His friend will surely tell him it's his imagination, but who cares? He advanced to see. Only, advancing, he took a foot in a cable. He did not fall, but he was trying to remove. He waved his foot stupidly. He took out his saw for slicing.
The hatch to the pod was open, finally. Storm shuffled to the side as light poured in from outside. She was glad she moved, due to the fact that a mech walked in a second later. He was red, with a near flawless paintjob. Well, except for the arm paint. Not only that, but the door to his armor was about to fall off. She mentally cringed, now seeing why the mech had freaked out. She made a new mental note: This guy’s partner was strong.
She assumed the mech had spotted her move while advancing, ultimately entangling himself in some cables. As he reached down to untangle himself, Storm took advantage of the situation. As soon as he was in a downward position, Storm rushed him. She swiftly reached down and grabbed a loose wire, and continued to run past Knockout. The idea was to clothesline him with the wire, and ultimately knock him over. "Excuse me." She quietly yelped.
As soon as she’d made it to the entryway, she spotted the partner. He was huge, bigger than any mech she’d seen before. Assuming he’d entered the pod, Storm through her legs forward, performing a tight slide between Breakdown’s legs. There was a chance for him to catch her, if he was fast enough. But Storm calculated it was unlikely.
Knock Out did not like being alone in the front line. Why ? Because he was very unlucky, and this would be confirmed once more.
The doctor fell. What a brat! He straightened up, groaning a bit. So he had seen something! A little fembot, fast and probably Autobot. It was obvious with her reaction. She fled! KO looks at his feet. He was tangled! He therefore turned to his partner. Again, fortunately he was here.
- Breakdown! Catch her!
Alive or not he don't care. Bring her to Megatron will please him, and they have found a ship! There was probably some energon supplies here and material… But a dead Autobot could be great, to. He tries to unravel quickly before finally use his saw again. No time to waste ! He got up, ready to go to capture her… or kill her. This is a reference.
