“Your generosity knows no bounds, Lord Megatron,” Tarn uttered reverently as Megatron excused his earlier behavior. Tarn cursed himself for it. Why had he done something so foolish? By rights, Megatron had every reason to exterminate him. Lifting his head, crimson optics regarded the Decepticon warlord with the warmth that stemmed from complete and utter loyalty. He knew why his master had chosen to spare him. He would continue to strive to live up to that expectation.
Rising to his feet slowly so as not to offend, Tarn waited as Megatron considered his other request. Ah. Yes, his hastily delivered excuse. He ought to provide something more substantial. Fortunately, there were matters that required Lord Megatron’s attentions.
Optics flicked toward a voice as they spoke up. Knock-Out. The doctor. Tarn regarded him coldly as he reiterated Megatron’s earlier point. The warmth soon returned to his demeanor as he shook off the last remaining vestiges of his folly.
“Indeed,” Tarn said pleasantly with a nod to Knock-Out before returning his gaze to Megatron, stepping forward and drawing out a datapad. “These documents require your attention, Lord Megatron.”
Handing off the datapad, Tarn retreated a respectful distance and bowed his head. “Of course, you may peruse them at your leisure.” Tarn’s optics wandered briefly to observe the other occupants of the bridge. Ah, Kaon was here. He hadn’t noticed that at first. As well as…ah, Lightspeed. Unfortunate that she had to witness his slight lapse in decorum.
