Good. He was getting somewhere. The name Rainshadow was faintly ingrained in her, as it still was faintly ingrained in his own memory banks. "Before Rosethorn, and after she passed, he was an infamous playmech, yes. And the most arrogant speedster to ever leave Velocitron for Cybertron." He rumbled softly. Though he completely often claimed his Velocitronian heritage, it felt like a relief to only admit he was half-Velocitronian. The other half, the half he had originally taken after, was his Vosian half. "This Gearstrike sounds like a great mech at least. I can't remember who took me in after Rosethorn's passing."
He tensed when she apologized. "No. No, you said nothing wrong. I'm just trying to process this all. I...might need to check our CNA if what I'm thinking is right."
If what he says is correct, then Gearstrike wasn't glitching in his words. Could it be? That she was half-Velocitronian? And that this mech before her, was potentially a paternal sibling? A long-lost? "He wasn't lying", she spoke up, slowly realizing that her past was beginning to unravel itself. Her frown was still present, and Raiza could only look at one spot: Knockout's face. Of course! He looked so similar to herself: the red paint, the black-and-white accents, and the crimson optics. Could it really be?
With his suggestion, they both had to find out for themselves. "We should", the red femme immediately responded, her optics widening with eagerness. "Do it", and with that, Raiza manuevered the injury on her leg, so he could have a better angle at possibly taking a sample of her energon.
The Velocitronian features were plain as day. Slender build beneath the armor. Geared for speed. He didn't know her carrier's lineage, but he knew that Velocitronian and Vosian made a fine speedster, both in air when he had once been in flight, and on the ground, now. "He wasn't." His voice was soft again, but not sad. Thoughtful.
Knock Out himself would drain a bit of his energon into a vial. He then would put some of her own energon--which had scrapings of her frame due to the bleeding--in a vial as well.
It took a while for Raiza to wait patiently for the results of the sample. Even throughout the procedure of her leg getting repaired, it was hard to sit still, because of her eagerness. However, she stayed still the best she could for the doctor's sake to make the process go by smoothly.
The best part, the red femme stuck around, even after the surgery. She was intrigued with this new mech, and her curiosity wouldn't keep itself at bay. She's been sitting on the berths, even Knock Out's desk, gladly giving him enough space to work, even as she sat there. She was a little preoccupied with him now, and the information being received during it, would probably help her in the future, if she ever got into another incident.
"What do you know about 'Breakdown'?", she asked him in curiosity, hoping to learn more about the muscled brawn that gave her a tour, along with the vehicon Sev, before the incident.
Knock Out's optics widened at the question. His tire-wings of sorts seemed to flutter in a strange, almost Vosian manner. But how could that be? Didn't he say he was Velocitronian? Oh right. Try as he might to hide his Vosian heritage he would soon show hints of it every time.
"He's my Amica Endura. He's been there for me for a long time. The big guy...he's smarter than he lets on. Maybe not a genius but don't let his 'big dumb brute' looks fool you." His look seemed to soften, though sadden. "I'd trust him with my life. I know he's not spark-and-energon to me but...I'd trust him with my life. Even down one optic."
There was an unspoken feeling there. At one point they could have almost ended up Conjunx Endura, but they had felt more comfortable as Amica. His Amica. No one could take away his Amica.
Raiza titled her helm to the side a little, once she noticed those tire struts slightly spinning; it left her smirking. 'How intriguing. Even after I said the designation, he's reacting somehow. Guess there's more about the big brawn than I heard', she inwardly thought to herself before turning her attention back to Knock Out. "Sounds like a beautiful bromantic story", she teased with a chuckle, and a slight sneer forming on her white, well-angled faceplate. "I would have guessed. He did seem to be...the gentleman type", and she practically agreed with the doctor. Breakdown intrigued her, probably as much as the red mech did.
Did the red femme actually believe that this red mech could be her half-sibling? Or if this 'Breakdown' was more than what she'd witnessed? Sometimes, it feels good to be curious. Though Raiza wouldn't want to ruin it by pushing Knock Out, in order to fulfill it. She was just getting to know him, as well as the big brawn from earlier. She had to admit: she held interesting taste for eye-patched brawns.
Then, she glanced at the tools laid-out on the desk she sat on. "What is it that you study, doctor?", his skills were obvious just a few moments ago, but she wanted to know how far his intellect went.
Knock Out's tires stiffened and stilled. His vocalizer seemed to do a noise like a throat clear and he blushed a faint blue while turning his face away. "I...I suppose. But bromance...ah..." He then blinked. "Are we talking about the same Breakdown who will belch 'hello' while walking into the med-bay and then give me a confused look when I try to figure out what he was saying other than hello? The same Breakdown who I've had to tell that I needed something he knocked over?"
He himself held similar tastes. He loved large mecha, ones who weren't so fastidious like him. In a way it was almost a breath of fresh air to him.
"Hrm. I suppose you could say general medical practice. Though...outside of medicine I admit I've been studying human culture as well. I find it quite fascinating! Their music and visual entertainment are VERY interesting. And...heh...their internet culture." He then tittered, murmuring something that sounded like "dancing monkeys".
Raiza chuckled at the result of her comment, and a teasing smirk appeared shortly after. Of course, silly. The same Breakdown with a muscled chassis, the oaf with a humble yet dangerous exterior, and an optica del uno?", his expression was priceless. Was she getting somewhere with him? Or was she missing something from the big mech that's behind the eyepatch? "You know what bugs me? That optic patch. How did he get it?", again, curiosity shows itself in numerous ways. Her facials were blank, but held great curiosity in it, before that said-face tilted to the side a little.
"Hmm. Earth culture, right?", Raiza concluded to his explanation. She had to admit that the little fleshies held some very interesting tastes. Vehicles, especially. She nodded in agreement and thoughtfulness. "That's understandable. They do hold some interesting vehicles, though", the red femme didn't know his specific tastes in human culture, but his kind of entertainment didn't go unnoticed when she heard music coming from the medbay just a few hours ago. Plus, his talents were proven handy through her leg repair. That made her looked at the freshly forged armor upon her leg. "How long have you been doing this, doctor?"
Knock Out's faceplates almost seemed to flush slightly. "The very same. One of my closest and most loyal confidantes. You could say he's a pal and a confidante." Crimson optics darted down. "I've yet to complete a new optic for him. The patch is his punishment for a failure to protect himself, however..."
The crimson Aston Martin seemed to perk up. "Very much so. Their music is absolutely wonderful, they have amazing vehicles, and they've got these interesting things on the internet called 'memes'. Some of them are real stupid like Starscream's little dancing monkey gif, but apparently the fleshies sometimes like to put words on pictures of their felines. Those ones are hilarious."
He then paused. "Medicine? Centuries. Earth culture? Since I arrived here and snuck into a drive-in theatre with Breakdown to watch a human horror film. I believe it had a masked man with a chainsaw threatening human younglings?"
Raiza smirked amusingly, already interested in the doctor's claim over his confidante's misfortune. It did explain the patch, and truth-be-told, she liked the accessorized addition to the big mech. Like mentioned before, she held quite the taste for those kinds of big brawns; this one, especially. Looks like she and Knock Out have quite a few things in common: Earth culture and brawny partners. Could it be true that they were related? Just by waiting for the results, it was a question waiting to be answered.
Though there are a few traits between them that is debatable, the red femme couldn't jump to assumptions yet. She chuckled heartedly when the doctor mentioned about one of the few traditions of one of those things called the internet. "Ooo!", she brightened. "That would be...Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as the humans would call it. One of the drive-in theatres on Earth was just airing a deca-cycle ago", she crossed her arms casually, before proceeding to sit on his desk, though gave him plenty of room to work on it.
((Sorry, been having a lot going on with health and the like, just getting back to things on a more full-time basis.))
Knock Out gave a soft rumble. He himself had a deep closeness with his amica that sometimes had others questioning if they were secretly conjunx. Though it seemed interesting that she kept so much interest in Breakdown as well. He'd have to have all three of them hang out.
He then cackled. "Ah yes, that one! Breakdown and I watched that airing of it!" He then smirked. "They also had Nightmare On Elm Street as a double feature, if I remember right. Gotta hand it to the fleshies, they created a character almost as scary as the Decepticon Justice Division."
