[Hot Shot]

'How do I look?'

How was that the hardest question that Hot Shot had to answer!?  Override looked absolutely stunning, and it was hard not to just gawk at her.  It'd been awhile since he'd laid optics on a femme, especially given how much Arcee would try and avoid him, but holy wow.  He needed to think of a good response that wouldn't be likely to offend or creep her out.

Primus this was like talking to Rodimus for the first time..

"A-Amazing!  It's nice to finally meet face to face."  Hot Shot walked over to the femme, holding out a servo so they could shake servos.  "I've heard so much about Velocitron and all the races that go on there.  Always did wanna visit, though it'll probably be quite some time with this war going on."

[Override]

He was adorable trying to not act all flustered, even though it showed. Override didn't hesitate to shake Hot Shot's hand, keeping her free hand resting on her hip. She smiled back at him, "If you ever decide to head that way, you'll be a natural."

She very nearly forgot in the midst of all the racing that she was here on Earth for some official business. "I almost forgot to mention, but I'm here on official business; stuff like this just constitutes the relaxation part of my 'vacation'."

[Hot Shot]

Hot Shot beamed at Override's words.  She really thought he'd be great if he ever made his way to Velocitron?  Woo!  He was gonna have to make that happen one day.  One day..  "You really think so, Override?  Thanks!  I know it's not exactly close by and I don't have a way out there right now, but.. maybe one day in the future I can make that happen.  It'd practically be a dream come true."

Though there was something in the femme's words that caught his attention.  She wasn't just here for fun and games, but rather she was on a mission of some kind.  He didn't know what it was, but it must've been big if one of the biggest names of all of Velocitronian history was on Earh.  That.. or she's come at Optimus' request.

Either or.

"So.. what's this official business you're on?  Something cool?  Something you can't talk about cause it's classified or something?  Sorry.  You got me curious now."  Putting a servo behind his helm, Hot Shot began to laugh nervously.

[Override]

Override folded her arms together. There wasn't really a good reason for Hot Shot not to know her mission on Earth, as it wasn't explicitly vital to the Autobot war effort. "It's alright," she beamed back.

"Navitas picked up more than a few subspace echoes on his scanners, back on Velocitron. Clocker and I went over the data, and pinpointed the disturbance on Earth. I came here to have a chat with a few of your egg-heads, so to speak, about why all this is happening."

[Hot Shot]

Hot Shot listened as Override spoke of her mission.

..and had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.

He nodded along with her, at least getting the idea that something weird popped up on Velocitron and that it was coming from Earth.  Whatever this weird thing was, the littlest Wrecker had no idea what it was, but maybe there was some way that he could assist the femme in figuring it out.

"I dunno about any weird things happening here, so.. sorry.  That's all kinda well and above me, but maybe someone like Optimus would know?  I mean, he sorta knows all the things, doesn't he?"

[Override]

"I had the same idea, which is why he was the first bot I called up. Figure Primus's favorite son ought to have some kind of theory about what's been happening."

"That, and I've been meaning to catch up with him sometime anyway."

Now that Override thought about it, it had been at least a million stellar cycles since she'd last spoken with Optimus. A possibly cataclysmic cosmic event probably wasn't the best circumstances under which to stage a reunion, but it was a reunion nonetheless.

"Think you could drive an old racer back that fancy base of yours?"

[Hot Shot]

Primus' favorite son..?

That was certainly the phrase to throw Hot Shot off for the next six thousand stellar cycles.

"Well.. I mean, Optimus might have an idea of what's going on, but who knows.  We got a lot going on with relic hunting and fighting the Decepticons.. even Bumblebee's team is super busy from what I hear.  Something about being on a mission to re-capture escaped Decepticons from this prison ship or something.  I dunno.  Either way.. I think Optimus is the best bet."

Seemed that Override and Optimus knew each other, so if that was the case than introducing her to the group wouldn't be a problem at all.  He didn't know how they knew each other, but it was better than nothing to be honest.

"Sure, but.. I dunno if I can drive ya.  Not.. not to say I can't!  I'm just saying that Jasper's a looooong way away from here.  I used a ground bridge just to get to Crown City as fast as I did, and.. I'm gonna have to call Ratchet or someone to get it open."

[Override]

Override bent forward towards Hot Shot, a goading smile on her face, "What's wrong, not up for a bit of long-distance driving? It's good for 'ya, trust me." Just like that she was rolling around on her heels again, already eager for another long stretch of road to rip up.

The part about Decepticons running around unchecked on Earth was an important bit of information, though. Whatever their intentions were, it probably would be best if she lent a hand to the Autobots in that regard. But first, she needed to press Hot Shot some more. The femme backed up to start stretching her legs on the race track's safety rails.

"But if you really don't want to, I guess we can take the easy way."

[Hot Shot]

It only took 4.7 seconds for Hot Shot to start stammering.

"I mean.. that.. what I mean is... aaaugh!"  Man had Override gotten him good.  Just how were femmes so good at getting mechs flustered like that?  He practically flushed as she teased him in such a manner.  He couldn't even remember anyone teasing him like this before!  It was just so weird and new.

And Override was already gonna get her way.

"Oh alright.  If you really wanna drive all the way there we can.  I just.. ya know..  I know that long drives can wear bots down and all.  We can drive."  Hot Shot chuckled nervously, watching Override as she stretched.

Primus she was good..
