Player Alias: Kavac
Character Name: Warpath
Allegiance: Autobots, Wreckers
Appearance Description:
Concepts like ‘humility’, ‘moderation’ and ‘fashion’ are alien to Warpath; he is bulky and built to withstand massive punishment, leaving little in the way of a modest appearance. Whatever the Autobot’s original appearance was is now a mystery, as he has undergone several major overhauls in his lifetime, each boosting his combat performance. Warpath’s most prominent feature is the massive gun barrel jutting out from his chest, and also his most prized possession. For him, there is no need to conceal your most powerful weapon; he likes to let his opponents know who the big deal is, much to the annoyance of his superior officers.
Warpath’s new Earth-friendly alternate mode is an M1 Abrams sporting a healthy application of the color red mixed with numerous battle scars.
Personality:
Loud and talkative, Warpath is no stranger to saying what’s on his mind, whether or not anyone is around to hear it, or even if they care. His fiery personality keeps him itching for a fight, from a friendly brawl among his squadmates, to a slugging match with the Decepticons. The Wrecker often talks and acts as if he’s impervious to the enemy’s munitions, citing his many engagements as proof. Through many hard fought and harrowing battles though, Warpath may have taken a few hits to the skull. His vocal eccentricities are as noticeable as the gun on his chest; Warpath will often insert random verbal sound effects into his speech patterns, found endearing to his allies, and a tad upsetting to Autobot medics.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
Strengths:
Destroyer - Warpath is among the heaviest of the Autobot’s heavy hitters, capable of dealing out ludicrous amounts of punishment to the Decepticons.
Confident - Trusting his weapons, armor and skill to see him through any situation, Warpath’s confidence is always the last of his arsenal to fail.
Thick Skin - Tremendously thick armor plating complements his destructive arsenal, making Warpath a true force to be reckoned with.
Bravery - During the war on Cybertron, the Autobot put himself into situations that most others would fail to walk away from, oftentimes volunteering for only the most dangerous missions.
Weaknesses:
Easy Target - Being larger than most Autobots often puts Warpath in the crosshairs first during a battle. A plethora of offensive weapons and armor usually paints a large ‘kill me first’ sign on him, although he has been shown to revel in this fact.
Slow - In both his regular and alternate mode, Warpath is quite sluggish. This only adds to the danger he faces against enemies who can move faster than him, which are a great many of them.
Reckless - A love of battle has bred a guns blazing attitude in the hulking Autobot, rendering him somewhat absent minded about the consequences. It is this trait that has kept him from the battles on Earth, especially those where humans are present.
Stubborn - During the war on Cybertron, Warpath has been known to refuse orders to surrender or retreat; if he sees a situation worsening he’ll do everything in his, and only his power to right it. The Autobot has made it clear that fleeing from battle is something he’ll never go through with, and plans to spend his final moments on the battlefield, whenever they might come.
Abilities:
Weaponsmith - When it comes to weapons of destruction, Warpath has no equal. If ever an Autobot needed a weapon to shoot, explode, dissolve, shock, vaporize, or atomize a Decepticon with extreme prejudice, Warpath was ready and willing to make it. He can create, salvage, and maintain an extremely large arsenal of weapons in a reasonable amount of time, making him an invaluable asset to the Autobots even off the battlefield.
Weaponry:
120mm Cannon - Warpath’s most prized possession, a high-caliber force multiplier capable of being loaded with a variety of specialized shells via an autoload-cycler.
Sabre Chaingun - For dealing with targets that he wouldn’t burden with his main gun, the Autobot packs enough firepower in an oversized minigun to handle it.
Missile Launchers - Decepticons tend to jump around a lot, especially flying ones, so most Decepticons really. Two large missile pods firing off salvos of heat seeking missiles tends to ground his targets before they can cause any real damage.
Grenade Launcher - One grenade is enough to send a squad rushing for cover, but with all weapons, Warpath has gone overboard with it. A rapid-fire grenade launcher serves as the Autobot’s support weapon, useful for flushing large groups of targets out of cover.
Plasma Casters - The icing on the cake of Warpath’s ranged arsenal is a pair of dual fire-linked plasma throwers, capable of spewing jets of the energized material onto whatever unfortunate target is deemed worthy.
Chainsaws - Swords and hammers simply aren’t enough to please Warpath’s exquisite tastes, but two massive chainsaws may be. A set of two large sawteeth chainsaws function as the Autobot’s melee weapons, as well as a functional ‘keep away’ sign to all facing him.
History:
Once captain of the guard for Cybertron’s High Pavilion, Warpath was among the numerous Cybertronians who sided with the soon to be Optimus Prime and the Autobots when war with the Decepticons broke out. Warpath and his troops were an essential part of the Autobot defense of Iacon early in the war, and were present to see Orion Pax receive the Matrix of Leadership. As Autobot resources dwindled towards the tail end of the conflict on Cybertron, he was placed in the Wreckers as a heavy weapons and demolitions expert.
Warpath’s last official mission for the Autobots was the defense of the Ark launch pad, ordered by Prime himself. The Decepticons fought a long and bloody push the launch pad, very nearly overwhelming the stern Autobot’s forces, only to be saved by the last minute addition of the recently awakened titan, Metroplex. As Optimus and the rest of the Autobots departed aboard the Ark at the eleventh hour, Warpath and a group of die-hard soldiers opted to stay behind on the soon to be dead world, intent on denying any Decepticon remnants the chance at establishing a foothold.
The next million years saw Warpath and his squad fend off scavengers, Decepticon holdouts, and an assortment of other horrors that had been crawling beneath Cybertron’s towering spires for eons, beating them all back. True to the Wrecker name, his squadmates each took a high kill count, but ultimately at the price of their own lives. By the time the Autobots officially reclaimed the planet, Warpath was among Cybertron’s last original inhabitants, all weary and battered from hundreds of thousands of years spent inside the world’s hostile environment.
Although many of his surviving squad mates went straight for retirement after the Autobot High Council was re-established, Warpath rejoined the ranks of the baseline Wreckers and Autobots, happy to once again serve Optimus in an official capacity. He has recently been called to Earth to ‘deal’ with the newly refreshed Decepticon numbers, although he has been kept out of engagements located near human settlements due to his reckless nature.
