Player Alias: Kavac
Character Name: Motormaster
Allegiance: Decepticon
Appearance Description:
If you couldn’t tell from the copious amounts of purple and black plastered on his body, Motormaster is a Decepticon. At 32 feet tall, Motormaster towers over his subordinates while they are uncombined, and meets them at eye level should they choose to double up. Everything about the Decepticon’s appearance exudes power and authority, especially his massive shoulder pads; a favorite of many notable Decepticon leaders. He’s often been compared to a slightly beefier version of Optimus Prime, who he frequently quarrels with on his conquest of the galaxy’s roads. His alt mode is a large ten-wheeled semi truck with a segmented trailer, which also serves as the basis for most of his armor.
Personality:
Motormaster is nothing if not bluntly direct, always getting to the point in any conversation, or situation for that matter. He’s hardly one to mince his words, and will happily inform another bot about just how ugly they are. Despite his tactful and strategic mind, Motormaster’s personality frequently gets in the way of showing it. In addition Motormaster can usually get angry at the drop of a hat, a fact which inspires loyalty (fear) in the rest of the Stunticons.
While the rest of his men have the emotional capacity of college fratboys and mobsters, Motormaster keeps himself very sternly focused about most matters. If he sets his mind to something, there is absolutely nothing on the road that’ll stop him from reaching it. Luckily for Megatron, Motormaster’s ambitions are hilariously low.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
+Brute Force - If given a tray of surgical tools and asked to perform surgery, Motormaster would pick up the cart the tray was sitting on, and beat the patient back to health. There is no such thing as finesse or surgical precision with this Decepticon, and he knows it. Motormaster is an extremely powerful fighter both with a blade, and with his fists. He wouldn’t call himself Lord of the Roads without having the raw strength to crush anyone in his way, with his bare hands no less.
+Intimidation - A two ton semi truck barreling down the road at you with all pistons firing is one thing; when that same truck is sentient and absolutely hates you, it's another. There is no question that Motormaster is an example of a truly terrifying Decepticon, plus he’s got the muscle to back up his threats.
+Speed - While he may claim that the Stunticons are the fastest bots on Earth, there’s no way that Motormaster will be beating the likes of Blurr or Override in a race anytime soon. Still though, Motormaster possesses more speed than any semi truck should, which still makes him a very viable threat to everyone on the road.
+Durability - Motormaster is a far cry from the shining brilliance of a finely cut diamond, but he’s still got all that beautiful indestructibility. He’s tanked barrages of laser fire, energy blasts, explosions, sonic attacks, acid baths, you name it. Nothing short of a deathblow has a chance of stopping this titan. That or maybe Metroplex.
-Low Ambition - While it may not necessarily hurt Motormaster directly, his unusually low ambitions have hampered his ability to rise any higher in the Decepticon ranks. His goals are usually vague and only self-fulfilling. As a lieutenant of the Decepticons, he is Megatron’s favorite blunt instrument; but, that is about all Motormaster will ever be.
-Fear instead of Loyalty - The only thing that keeps the Stunticons together is not loyalty to Motormaster or the Decepticon cause, but fear. Motormaster is criminally inept at inspiring the loyalty of his subordinates, and instead resorts to threats of physical pain to keep his troops in line. Unsurprisingly, this same tactic tends to backfire on them when the Stunticons form Menasor, unable to truly rely on one another.
-Overconfident - Although his confidence tends to serve him well, it is also his Achilles’ heel. Charging head long into situations has made Motormaster Megatron’s resident smash and grab specialist, but it more often than not gets him into trouble. Menasor has lost many a battle against Autobot combiners due to Motormaster simply underestimating their enemy.
Abilities:
Menasor - Motormaster supplies the main body of the Stunticon combiner, Menasor, thus giving him a great deal of control over the form. Although Menasor suffers from a slew of problems resulting from a lack of trust between his parts, there are a rare few moments of cohesion that make him an extreme danger on the battlefield.
Weaponry:
Blasting Charges - Always a must for any self-respectable automobile-crazed villain are copious amounts of explosives to roll in the way of pursuing attackers. Motormaster carries an assortment of bombs to be deployed against Autobot pursuers on the road. The blasting charges can be set to be automatically triggered via a proximity sensor, or can be set off by Motormaster remotely.
Oil Slick - Used in much the same way as his blasting charges, Motormaster’s oil slick coats the road behind him in a slippery and flammable mixture, lessening the friction provided by the hard asphalt.
Storm Gladius - Not one for blunt weapons, in spite of his tendencies, Motormaster’s first choice in close combat is his mighty Storm Gladius. Far more technologically advanced and complex than Motormaster’s personality, the Gladius is a large blade capable of channeling an induced electrical polarity field. While this field has no effect on other Cybertronians, it is especially effective at attracting storm clouds and lightning strikes. Motormaster frequently uses the blade’s powers to channel lightning through it, resulting in a devastatingly powerful tool for the Stunticon leader. When formed as Menasor, the blade evolves further. Menasor’s Storm Gladius is able not only to call upon lightning strikes, but also possesses the power to generate powerful cyclones from thin air. This is subjective, as half the time Motormaster has enough trouble trying to control the Stunticons as Menasor, let alone use his main weapon.
Large-bore Heavy Cannons - A pair of heavy-duty energon cannons built into Motormaster’s arms serve as his main ranged weapons, firing larger than average energy bolts. These cannons pack quite a punch, much like their owner.
History:
Motormaster and the Stunticons have been together for as long as he can remember, although he’s had his fair share of replacements over the years. Regardless, the Stunticons as a group have always had Motormaster’s back, sometimes. Originally hailing from Altihex, Motormaster was once a racer in one of the city-state’s recreational motorways. This didn’t last long, as Motormaster was banned from participating in races after he was deemed too dangerous, both to the track itself, bystanders, and other racers. He then moved on to participate in one of Altihex’s demolition derbies as a regular contender. Motormaster was summarily ejected from these derbies, this time for straight up murdering his competition. He then went on to hit some of Cybertron’s less than legal raceways and demolition derbies, finally finding places that could accommodate a driver of his ruthlessness. Among the lower city’s inhabitants he met a group of young bots who shared in his ability to be forcibly removed from sporting events, the Stunticons. Although there were several attempts made by the Stunticons to integrate Motormaster as a member of their group, he eventually managed to gracefully beat his way to the top, physically.
When Megatron made the call from Kaon for all Decepticons to rise up in an insurrection, Motormaster and his Stunticons were among the first to respond. They became highwaymen and terrorists, either capturing or destroying much of Cybertron’s transit stations in the process. After a long and destructive campaign against the Autobots, the Stunticons found their way off of their dying homeworld with the rest of the Decepticons, although they were seperated from Megatron’s command shortly after. Eons of raiding and looting worlds around the cosmos culminated in the Stunticons coming across the legendary Enigma of Combination, one of the relics of the thirteen. Using the Enigma’s power, the Stunticons were granted with the incredible ability to combine their bodies to form the mighty Menasor. After a particularly successful string of robberies on Caminus, Motormaster and the Stunticons once again heeded Megatron’s call, returning to Earth in order to secure additional Cybertronian relics for their supreme leader.
