Player Alias: cataclysmicseraph
Character Name: Tesarus
Allegiance: Decepticon
Appearance Description:
Large is an understatement when it comes to Tesarus. He towers over many a bot and for good reason-- how else would he be able to fit them into his chest cavity? The one lined with tons of sharp ununtrium blades. Traitors won't grind themselves up, after all. Although it would be nice, where would the fun in that be? On his face, his X-shaped visor obscures his optics; all of them. Over his shoulders, two telemanipulators are placed, useful for grabbing any bot unfortunate enough to be placed into the grinder.
Personality:
Sure, one could say that Tesarus was a brainless, sadistic brute-- and they'd be half-right. Sadistic brute, for sure. He's cruel and bloodthirsty and easily bored when there's no combat. But brainless? Not so much. It's just that Tesarus doesn't have a whole lot to say, but don't let that fool you. He knows better than to underestimate his targets-- or his comrades, for that matter-- and has an innovative streak to him. He does not, however, care for rules or regulations and chafes when they're enforced. They're important and he knows it, but that doesn't mean he has to be happy about it. There are so many other ways he could think to spend his time. Whenever he has the energy, anyway.
Loyality is something that is also extremely important to Tesarus. Leaving his teammates behind is unthinkable to him, and it isn't something he'd do unless absolutely forced. His loyalty to his team is overshadowed only by his loyalty to the cause, and as such, he follows orders given to him. Just don't expect him to do it without grumbling a little-- he is quite sullen and mercurial.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
+/- Smart But Lazy: Allegedly. Truthfully, he just doesn't have much extra energy to put forth in between missions. This can, however, give him time to think about the capabilities of his targets before jumping into action.
- Speak First, Think Later: When something upsets him enough, Tesarus can sometimes find himself saying things he wouldn't usually, despite knowing the consequences.
+/- Easily Bored: Though the pent-up mental energies make for especially cruel and innovative methods of dispatching targets, he is always looking for something else to keep his mind occupied during periods of rest.
+ The Brute: Tesarus is large and powerful and he can very much use this to the advantage of himself and his team.
- Capricious: Tesarus's moods can be unpredictable and change without much warning, causing him to fall silent or become angry for seemingly little reason.
+- Slow: Though he doesn't move quickly compared to most of his teammates, this does give him an extra moment to analyze a situation that he would not have otherwise had.
+- Loyal: For better or worse, he stands by what he believes in, and he wouldn't abandon his team.
Abilities:
Durability: With his size and heavy armor, it takes a lot to bring Tess down.
Physical Strength: Though he prefers other approaches, Tesarus can throw a serious punch.
Weaponry:
Ununtrium Blades: Incredibly sharp blades lining his chest cavity that spin at high speeds can shred just about anyone or anything he puts in there.
History:
Tesarus, formerly known as Scissorsaw, wasn't always a professional killing machine. No, once he was just a standard killing machine. From the city-state of Tesarus, Scissorsaw was, like most other Decepticons, sick of inequality and injustice. He always had a violent bent, however, and his devotion to the Decepticon cause was more zealous than most.
Though his penchant for violence didn't necessarily win him many close friends initially, it did allow him to meet other devotees. Joining the DJD and adopting the name Tesarus like his predecessor, he helps his teammates dispatch traitors and uphold the cause. Possessed by an undying loyalty and having cast aside his morals long ago, he has worked hard to make sure that the sound of his blades are one of the things that keep traitors awake at night.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
Paperwork was always the worst. Tesarus didn't understand the need for all these rules and regulations, at least not as strict as Tarn made them. Sure, some level of structure was necessary to keep things running, but all of this? The appraisals? Tess just didn't buy it. With a scoff, he tossed his half of the paperwork aside, preferring to turn his attention to something that actually captured it for a little while. He wasn't exactly in a rush to complete those, and even if he was, he knew that wouldn't last long. It was all standard stuff, really, with maybe a few changes here and there.
His disdain for it all wasn't just caused by the fact that the appraisals made him nervous, though. Of course they did, they made everyone nervous. Having their performance judged was nothing short of excruciating, even when they were doing well. But no, what irritated Tesarus the most out of everything was just how time consuming and mind-numbingly boring all the paperwork was. He wanted to make traitors pay, not fill out assessment sheets. Slowly lowering turncoats or deserters into the grinding blades in his chest cavity, hearing their screams and pleas-- at first to be spared, and then for the death that was held so tantalizingly out of reach... that was the rush Tesarus signed up for.
Tilting his helm back and shutting his optics behind his visor, Tesarus stayed like that for a while, every so often slowly spinning his blades just to give himself something to do. The whirring acquired a rhythmic pace, and that almost amused him; that is, until he heard something that caught his attention. Luckily for him and unluckily for his paperwork, it sounded like it was just about time to give their next target his last thing to think about.
