Chromebeat was always a curious little mech.
Sure, Optimus had taken him to base a day ago, helped him out, and had him checked out so he’d seen some of the base. But Chrome wanted to see more, especially since he had spent the better part of the next day inside Optimus’ quarters.
So he’d sneaked out and started exploring nearly an hour ago.
Chrome went jogging into the control room exuberantly, his light blue optics carefully examining the room. It was so big, the youngling noted rather excitedly. And filled with all kinds of different awesome new gadgets for him to explore.
But where did Chrome even start?
“There’s so much!” He commented to himself with a sense of wonder. “I wonder what all of it does?”
Well there was only one way to find out he supposed. Carefully sneaking towards the nearest machinery.

Moonracer was admittedly a little bored. Things had settled down around the base, and the bots always seemed to be doing something leaving the place quiet often. It could be patrols, energon scouting, or the new parents taking care of their sparkling. And she had to admit, it had been some time since the young Velocitronian could recall swing so many young Cybertronians in one place. Not since at least her own home planet. But, she did find this refreshing and hopeful, meaning Cybertron’a future was still looking possible in the coming years if the war ever ended.
for now, the femme came rolling up to the boulder that seemed to be a natural looking formation on the hidden missile silo. She slowed her speed enough so she didn’t accidentally go crashing right into the rock until it had moved aside. Once it did, she sped forward down the entrance tunnel, engine revving audible and echoing off the metal walls. She doubted anyone would be around, including her Amica who she knew had other concerns. So, Moonracer has just been passing the time with some racing about, using the back roads to avoid human police.
But it was as she was pulling up to the last stretch she noticed a small form moving. She was once more slowing down and transforming as she drove forward, skidding to a halt. Her bright blue optics were met with the sight of a youngling, one she had not seen before. He must be new perhaps. And it only amused her to realize he was trying to sneak around, probably curious of his surroundings.
”Careful little mech, someone might not appreciate you messing with those controls. I heard they can be sensitive tech.” Moonracer spoke towards Chromebeat, smiling a little.
