Player Alias: Thundercat
Character Name: Ser-ket
Allegiance: Predacon (Decepticon-aligned)
Appearance Description:
Ser-Ket is on the smaller side for a Predacon, being somewhat shorter than the Dinobot Grimlock. Her form is square or blocky looking, but she still has an angular and aerodynamic look to her frame, reminiscent of most fliers, even her own days of once having a Vosian frame. Around her upper arms, chest plating, and lower legs, she is a bit on the thicker side but most of her armor is otherwise light weight and segmented in some areas, with her protoform visible around the mid-section, legs, and feet, and small areas of the arms then her neck.
Her helm though has a much different look than most. Circular in shape, Ser-Ket looks like a creature straight out of a demonic movie, with obtuse shaped feral looking orange-red optics and feral looking expression with a segmented armor along her upper head. On her back are two bat-like shaped wings that have the appearance of having a membrane, when in reality is thin metal between the "fingers" of the wings. And a second most notable feature is her scorpion-like tail, which can be used in both modes, visible spikes in certain areas, particularly her back and arms, and three fingered hands.
Her coloration is a forest green with mustard yellow covering every part except her protoform which is smokey gray almost black color, contrasting against her main armor. Her alternate form is that of a dragon like most Predacons but with a single horn in the middle of the form's head and visible frills.
Personality: Ser-ket is like most Decepticons. She is a ruthless, cruel sort of femme who has no qualms with mayhem, violence, and sadism. In fact, over the years being in the service of the Decepticons, she has found herself more than at home in lashing out at others, especially those who do not share the same ideals among the Decepticons. Whether its combat or just catching someone minding their own business, Ser-ket takes some pleasure in giving them pain if they are not of her faction. It can be said she thrives on the rush and heat of battle and chaos, more so now that she has her Predacon form.
Yet, Ser-ket is quite curious. She had once found her calling in research and the sciences, discovering whatever she could about nature and the world around her since she was a youngling. Aside from this natural curiosity, Ser-ket, despite her more feral form, is actually fairly calm and level headed, probably more so than some of her fellow Decepticons. She is calm enough to hang back in a fight and analyze the situation, considering every alternative and to a point can be somewhat diplomatic. But, it depends on the circumstances of how negotiations can go. But, her patience has limits and can wane quickly.
Still, Ser-ket is fascinated by nature and those with similar forms to her own. She views those with beast modes as reaching their "true" natures, leading her to become somewhat vain about her predacon form. She feels with this form she is far superior to vehicle based Cybertronians and has shown herself to lean towards being confident and prideful in her skills, sometimes overly so. Yet, she is extremely loyal to the Decepticon cause and is quite fierce and vicious when the time calls for it, more than living up to being a top predator in Cybertronian standards.
Strengths:
Speed/Agility: Unlike majority of Predacons, Ser-ket's form heavily favors speed and agility to her advantage over strength and durability. Her frame leans towards a most square-shape but is still lean, slender, and more aerodynamic and smaller as well, allowing her far greater feats of speed and being more agile and maneuverable than her larger brethren and normal Cybertronians. Her top speed in flight has been clocked at Mach 1, although she cannot run at these speeds she is still fast and light on her feet.
Flight: Like most Predacons, Ser-ket has a pair of wings located on her upper back making her capable of flight in robot and beast mode. These wings are lightly armored but strong enough for her to lift herself and someone of Grimlock's size with relative ease, enabling her to reach maximum atmosphere heights of 10,000 feet.
Strength (Dragon mode): In her beast form is where Ser-ket displays her strength the most. She is strong in robot mode, but her beast form has proven to be far stronger than her main mode, being more than capable of lifting great amounts of weight, such as a Cybertronian Grimlock's size and weight. Combined with the momentum from her flight, she is capable of breaking down some physical barriers and knocking a Cybertronian of their feet.
Intelligent: For a Predacon, Ser-ket is actually quite intelligent. This comes from her hybrid nature of once being of Vosian origins before she was converted to a Predacon of her own volition, retaining her normal mindset. Thus, she is more than capable of improvising, multitasking, and solving problems or making up strategies during combat.
Melee Combat Expert: Over the years she's been among the Decepticons, Ser-ket found herself most at home using close quarters or hand-to-hand combat, learning several techniques over the years within the Decepticon armies. She became especially versed in adapting these to aerial combat and later into her Predacon form, becoming well-versed in using swords and whips.
Weaknesses:
Flight: Despite the advantage of higher ground and the speed and maneuverability her flight offers, Ser-ket's wings are the weakest aspect of her form. The armor is thin and can be easily damaged or torn apart, and in extreme cases removed entirely. This would ground her and leave her somewhat or completely stunned due to the amount of sensors here. And Ser-ket puts herself at risk of being slowed down by additional weight and isn't capable of out-flying some Cybertronians and jets despite her greater speeds.
Lighter frame: Ser-ket's armor thickness is thinner than most Predacons, on top of also being smaller than most, at least somewhat smaller than Darksteel. Though it grants certain advantages over her fellow Predacons, this also makes her more vulnerable to heavy artillery or great amounts of damage and force.
Can burn through her Energy reserves: Prolonged use of her speed and due to part of her body's energy going towards natural venom production, Ser-ket burns through her energy reserves more so than many Cybertronians. Due to this, Ser-ket must be mindful of conserving her reserves and how much she uses her speed. This concern also forces her to have greater amounts of energon or siphon energy off others.
Lack of Ranged Weapons: Though Ser-ket has skills in using ranged weapons, common on both sides of the conflict, her skills lies more in close quarters and melee weapons. This leaves herself open to those who do use ranged weapons and having to rely on her intelligence, speed, and skills to be able to get the upperhand in long-ranged fights.
Feral Temper: Despite having greater composure and not nearly as prone to primitive instinct, Ser-ket has a shorter temper than she once did which is quite ferocious and can be provoked if someone tries her patience or pushes the right buttons. She has also been known to fall into this semi-feral state when in a particular tense battle.
Abilities:
Mech-venom generation: The CNA of the Predacon Ser-ket had mixed with her's made her capable of naturally producing a toxin that can short circuit a Cybertronian's systems, make them ill, and, if injected enough, bring them to near stasis lock. This Cybertronian venom runs through her energon and can be injected from her tail, teeth, and claws at her choosing, controlling the amount injected and thereby how potent its effects can be.
Energy Siphoning: To some degree, Ser-ket is an energon/energy vampire. She can use the injector of her tail, her claws, or fangs to stab into certain energy sources or a Cybertronian's armor to absorb small increments of additional energy. But, she cannot siphon too much energy or she risks overloading her own systems, therefore she has a meter on the side of the tail of which keeps track of the amounts and sends an internal feedback of when she has reached that limit.
Weaponry:
Claws/Fangs (Dragon mode): In her dragon mode, Ser-ket has built-in weapons in the form of extremely sharp claws and fangs, which are capable of tearing into Cybertronian metal, especially when she puts some force behind them. There are also small chambers in the tips of each where she can store her mech-venom, allowing her to inject it.
Tail Claw: Ser-ket has an unusual tail in that it works very similar to a scorpion's tail, being capable of being curled over part of her body or left straight. It can also be rather versatile as a weapon or an extra hand. She can use it like a whip and blunt weapon, slamming it into others and extend it over her head, while the claw can be used to grab objects and has enough strength to crush a target somewhat. The injector in the middle of these claws acts as a "stinger" to stab into the armor, allowing her to puncture armor, inject her mech-venom, or absorb energy.
Electro-Sword: Tucked under her left wing, Ser-ket has a plain cybertronian metal handle that is black in color with a button that, when pressed, extends a retractable single bladed long-sword. In addition, she also activates a feature that covers the blade in electrical energy that serves to not only allow for her to slice and stab foes but also deliver a nasty shock from the high voltage purple energy.
Electro-Whip: Likewise, Ser-ket has a cybertronian metal whip with four flexible metal thongs. This whip is retractable into a simple handle and has a sphere at the end of each throng roughly the size of her palm. The whip can extend to about ten feet long with the spheres sparking with the same purple electrical energy at the ends.
Fire Breath: In her beast mode, Ser-ket can generate flames of high temperatures, capable of melting armor blade if it makes contact. She can fire it in streams or concentrated fireballs that can be launched about twenty feet away. Although, she only uses it as a diversion more than as a real weapon.
History: Ser-ket is not like the majority of Predacons. She at one point started out as a high class Vosian, coming from a wealthy family and almost a socialite background among her people. But instead being overly interested in the usual things high class Vosians held interests in, she found herself drawn to the sciences, in particular Cybertron's wildlife and nature in general. From a youngling, she had always been fascinated by the creatures of Cybertron, usually having a few pets at any given time if she could tame them.
This brought her a lifelong goal to study them, to get to know more. But, seeming as she came online sometime during the earliest parts of the war, these goals were to not last forever. She became drawn into the conflict shortly after the destruction of her home, being enlisted into the Decepticons when she, among several, were led to believe the Autobots had purposely orchestrated the attack. Which, after being pulled into the fold, Ser-Ket received combat training while being allowed to become stationed among the scientists in the Decepticon ranks, more than thrilled to conduct research of taming Cybertron's wildlife and using them to her advantage or studying those of the more intelligent life on Cybertron.
During the war, as things were heating up, Ser-ket was one of those who also from time to time would work with the mad scientist Shockwave. However, she became particularly interested in his pet project dealing with Predacon CNA, witnessing the rise of his first secret experiments. She herself became convinced the Predacons were what Cybertronians were meant to be, that this was the "true" nature they were missing out on. And with some convincing, Ser-ket had her CNA spliced with that of an unknown Predacon, giving her the present form she has in modern day.
She was one of the Predacons in the past sent out to track energon stores and protect it until the Decepticons could come to retrieve them. As a result, Ser-ket wound up on Earth in prehistoric times, her form being mistaken for a god among the Egyptians and possibly the inspiration for their goddess Serket/Serqet. Before long though, the passage of time slowly claimed her new brethren, something Ser-ket feared may become her own fate.
In order to prevent his, Ser-Ket left Egypt and made for the cold arctic north, allowing herself to go into a long self-induced stasis lock. For years following this, Ser-ket's form remained preserved in the bitter chill while time passed her by. She even remained unaware that the Decepticons had finally arrived to obtain the energon deposits with their enemies in tow. And it is only recently that Ser-ket's form has begun to show signs of life thanks to an unexpected discovery and an expedition of humans working to get her out of the ice.
