Bill had had a nice vacation in Bermuda - to say the least. He loved quality time with his two kids, and he was sure the temporary liason had done their job well. He’d checked in every so often to make sure everything was running smoothly. And despite some mishaps he had expected to come back to base semi-normal. Sure they’d added Dylan to the on-base personnel and a few sparklings had been added, but nothing he could to had handle right?
The paperwork he came back to said otherwise.
Inter dimensional travelers, three more sparklings, and multiple humans taking residence on base. Several of whom were now following Dylan’s suit and living in Autobot care? What the heck had he missed!? Were the Bots crazy? They were a few more kids away from a day care, and now they had some sort of dimension-hopping going on?
There was that migraine again! Welcome home, Fowler, he guessed.
“I leave them alone for how long and I come back to this?” He muttered to himself as he entered the control room looking to calm himself down from all of this. “I am definitely not paid enough for this.” He added.
Volt had discovered the control room during another incident, and although she had been distracted, she planned to return to take a look. Fortunately, she remembered where to go, and which hall to enter, and so she scurried to the correct hallways, made the correct turns until finally, she made it to the Control room. She almost thought no one was there, but that wasn’t true, she saw someone, someone new, at least as far as she knew. A big smile formed on her lips before she decided she had to go meet them.
“hiii!” she called out to the man that was clearly not a Sparkling. As she approached him she noted how much bigger he was compared to Dylan, still, that didn’t matter to her, this guy was a potential friend. She smiled “you new Sparkling right?” she asked of him. She didn’t remember if Dylan explained what he was yet, so she assumed Fowler was another Sparkling, wearing odd clothes like Dylan had.
She'd heard about the government liaison mostly from listening to the bots talk and figured it would be best to present herself to him before he thought she was some sort of military spy or something. Someone sent to glean military tech from the bots for other purposes without flying it clear through the government. It was lucky she'd been able to get a uniform that wasn't just her flight suit, since she spent so much time in the darn thing and it wasn't exactly suitable for meeting someone of government standing. So, not dress uniform, he wasn't her superior, but uniform nevertheless. And she had made sure she looked exact, not a hair out of place or wrinkle to be seen. She was a Captain with the United States Air Force, and by God she'd look it!
Why he placed himself in Autobot sized territory she had no idea, but she went to the Control Room regardless. "Excuse me, Agent Fowler?" She paused there at the smallest little bot she'd ever seen appeared to have made it in before her. "Should I come back later, sir? You seem to have company." Cute company too!
It had been difficult, getting into the Autobot base. Even with Rodimus vouching for him. He was getting tired of owing that ridiculous child, but...he was safe, for now. In the meantime, since his arrival, he'd remained in his assigned quarters, brooding, and being somewhat grateful that he was not in the brig. His Decepticon-like appearance wasn't winning him any favor, but, he was used to that.
At least Rodimus trusted him.
The ancient Cybertronian had recently emerged from his room to explore in the quiet of the base. It seemed safe to do so now. Or, so he'd thought until he entered the control room.
It was impossible to hide himself, nor did he truly care to. He stopped in the doorway, imposing as ever, horns jutting up from his helm, red optics burning in a skeletal face. He observed those already there. Two humans...and a sparkling. The humans themselves were interesting if not tiresome creatures. But the sparkling...he'd heard there were some in the base, but, he'd not seen them. How many millennia had it been since he saw a sparkling? His expression softened just an increment.
It wasn’t very loud - but Volt had still startled him a bit. Maybe because he wasn’t expecting to meet the Autobot’s new kids so quickly. This had to be one of them? Right? The thing asked if he was a new sparkling - a comment that made him both chuckle and sweat a bit. Oh god, this kid was probably new to Earth too, wasn’t she? Well that was going to be a horse of a whole different color, that was for sure. “I, uh...”
Of course when it rained it poured.
Within a few moments a new human dropped in. As did another Cybertronian who looked... Well, the look made him a bit nervous. He tried to keep calm though - despite the fact he could already feel a headache of epic proportions coming on. “Alright, alright one at a time since I can imagine this is going to get crazy fast usually does,” he explained, then looked down at the sparkling. “I’m not exactly a sparkling kid. I’ve got quite a few decades on any of you kids.”
After a moment he added. “Now, what can I do for the... Two of you,” he eyed Cyclonus a bit. “I’m gonna say by the red optics you’re either a turncoat or a dimension hopper. Either way there had better be a story behind them.”
Her question got a chuckle from the Human before her. She didn’t understand the differences between chuckles and laughter, so she thought she made him laugh. Though it was not exactly true since she came out while the jerk had been on earth. Even so, she hadn’t seen many humans before, Fowler definitely looked different from the one human she had seen.
Before she could say anything more, new friends arrived. The first was Aurelie, and the second was a Cyclonus. Aurelie did bring up some questions, but she knew, however, politeness meant she had to say hello. “Hiya!” she said to Aurelie, then Cyclonus. She didn’t think Cyclonus was bad since he didn’t look bad to the little Femme.
Her attention went to Fowler again, blinking her optics in confusion. “What tuncoat mean? and what’s D’mension hopper?’ she asked, she started to feel very worried, and fearful. Her optics were red, maybe not as noticeable now that she was a Sparkling, but they will be noticed when she’s older.
