Cybertronian years ago if someone had told her she would end up in a whole new universe, she might have thought that they were insane. Simply going into another universe was impossible, nothing could cause that to happen, but here she was, in a whole other universe other than her own. The news that the Seekeress had been given was bad and worse. There was no way back, and worse, the Universe had decided to give the biggest insult of the century. Megatron wasn’t a prime as he should have been, but a member of the cowards had that title.
As the Femme left the ground and took flight, she vented in frustration and anger at how unbelievable it all was. Her anger and frustration did subside somewhat as she took to the skies.
She loved flying so it had always helped her to calm down and allow her mind to clear. Higher and higher she rose, leaving the ground behind as she followed her companion. With the skills, she had amassed during her training and during their war, she was able to keep up with her companion, even if she decided to do a twirl in the air.
She pierced a cloud, the water vapor affected by her heat, did allow some water to splash on her, which cleaned up some of the dirt off her altmode as she flew on through. Eventually, she spotted something ahead of them. “That it?” she asked her companion through their communications. As they came closer to the nemesis, she saw it definitely was Cybertronian, and it looked like a proper Warship. That wasn't all she saw.
There was a Cybertronian down there too on the flight deck. The sight of the one she saw gave her an audible gasp when she recognized him for who he was. She pulled up before making her grand landing, that showed she was truly showing off. Now in robot mode, she walked towards Megatron, with a happy look on her face.she was happy to see him, not fearful as some would be.
She almost didn’t want to wait for her companion to land and transform, before she greeted Megatron.
It wasn't as if Spacewarp were slower than Skyhook, her companion was simply flying with more of a purpose. She hadn't even waited to call down a spacebridge to transport them to the Nemesis; all that built up enthusiasm simply propelled her forward even faster. "Yes, but please try to be respectful when you meet him..." she replied, beginning her final approach to the flight deck.
Spacewarp had a gut feeling that things weren't going to go the way Skyhook had hoped.
She transformed a few seconds behind Skyhook, coming to a complete stop a mere few feet later. Megatron was imposing as always, which apparently was the standard across universes. She didn't mind at all; Spacewarp preferred strong leaders this way. Spacewarp took a few moments to stretch out her joints as she walked just behind Skyhook towards her 'father'.
"Go on," she remarked to her fan, arms bent across her chest.
Megatron stood on the flight deck of the Nemesis, watching as the Vehicons scrambled around. He had made certain to keep a tighter security after the recent Autobot invasion to retrieve the Techno-Organic creature they were so fond of.
Arms folded behind his back, he looked onward as the approach of two jets filled the air. Megatron turned to look at the two as they landed, noting who had arrived. Spacewarp he knew, but the other.. he did not. They seemed far too excited, something the tyrant believed ill-suited for his ranks. He ruled them all with an iron fist, and there was no time for 'excitement' when there were Autobots that needed to be dealt with. With Relics that needed to be reclaimed.
With traitors.
Megatron stared daggers at the both of them with his crimson optics. "Report."
Spacewarp tried to caution her, to be respectful to Megatron when she meets him. She knew this would be difficult since this Megatron did somewhat resemble her Megatron. But even so, she promised herself that she would try to be respectful. As she approached, despite the joy she had felt at being able to see Megatron, she forced the excitement from her face and adopted a look of calm. She had to be calm, as an assassin, showing too much emotion, including excitement could be trouble.
He asked for their report, and she noted he sounded a lot like her Megatron, perhaps less gruff than her Megatron had been. “My illustrious lord Megatron, my name is Skyhook, Much like Spacewarp, I too, apparently come from an alternate universe. Even so, it matters little to me, because my loyalty is as it always should be, to you, my Lord. You or rather, my Universe’s version raised me to be loyal.” she reported. Then added “Unfortunately, during my arrival to this Universe, and this world, we were unable to encounter an Autobot, for I would have wished to bring their head, as a gift, and my promise, to fire my weapons on any who bears the mark of the cowards. “
Spacewarp had been ready and rearing to give Megatron a traditional field report on her mission, though Skyhook seemed to be far more eager in that regard. She was hoping that her... enthusiasm wouldn't be too off putting for Megatron, like that was the most bizarre part of this whole encounter. She was showing off his daughter from another universe, for Primus's sake. This was weird on more than a few levels.
She was practically brown nosing at this point, which Spacewarp was never fond of seeing. She tried to view these Decepticons as an actual military with a hierarchy, instead of a cult of personality like Skyhook was emphasizing. Spacewarp decided to reaffirm what her shorter companion had said, "Skyhook is the... ahem, child of your counterpart in our own universe."
Megatron listened as the femme known as Skyhook spoke to him, at least in a respectful manner. He still did not buy into this whole 'alternate universe' thing that some of the Decepticons had been feeding him, but he would not argue it. Let them believe this fantasy that they were from some other Cybertron, however.. even he was starting to notice this was becoming a trend. More and more were beginning to spew this story, which lead to one of two scenarios. Either everyone was buying into this story and wanted to take part in the 'fun', or it was truth.
Still.. how could they prove that?
However, there was one part of Skyhook's story that garnered a reaction from the tyrant. Something about her being.. the one to raise her? The other universe him anyway. Megatron sneered, turning directly to Spacewarp for explanation. A creator? Never in a million stellar cycles would this Megatron have considered an heir or sorts, nor would he. The reasonable answer had simply been why would one so foolishly bring children into their war, but there was far more too it. They could be troublesome, far too time consuming, and the tyrant wanted no part of it especially during the war.
He glowered in Skyhook's direction. "If this 'alternate universe' is apparent truth.. then you will be treated just as any other Decepticon. Whether I be this caretaker of yours, you shall be expected to preform as adequately as the rest of my troops. Fail, and there shall be consequences."
In all honesty, she too didn’t believe in such things as alternate universes, neither did she believe at first that she was in one, but right here, in front of the Femme, was proof, probably the biggest proof of all. Megatron was alive. It told her that Spacewarp was telling the truth when she had explained the situation. She couldn’t help but wonder what this Megatron thought. She was brought out of her thoughts when Spacewarp had confirmed that she was his counterpart’s offspring. She saw the reaction it garnered and she would have agreed, having a child during a war was crazy.
She nodded her head to his words. “I wouldn’t have it any other way, my lord,” she told him. She couldn’t expect him to just agree to being her father again, she knew as a leader, he’d be busy, plus this Megatron could be more warrior than her father was. She wanted to open her mouth and say that she doubted she will see him to receive punishment, after all, she was confident in her abilities, but she didn’t want to make it seem like she was too arrogant.
That was certainly a weight lifted from her shoulders, though Spacewarp wasn't too convinced it would've been a problem in the first place. Skyhook knew that she wouldn't receive any special treatment due to her lineage, extradimensional or otherwise. She'd be starting in much the same way her superior had, even crashed the same way, too. The elder seeker observed the rather strange tension that sat in the air between them, although it may have been exclusively been detected by her alone.
So long as Megatron didn't ask just who Skyhook's other parent had been, everything would be just peachy.
Spacewarp shifted her gaze back towards Megatron, her posture rigid and defined as always. "What would you have us do, Lord Megatron?"
It had been a wise decision for Skyhook that she had not mentioned her belief that she would not be showing if punishments for failure were to be dished out. Megatron would not have taken well to a statement such as that, especially due to her lack of time on board the Nemesis. He would have seen such a comment as a challenge, and would have immediately attempted to correct such arrogance.
There was room for only one Starscream, and he was angry enough as it was by Dreadwing's actions.. even now.
Megatron's optics moved towards Spacewarp as she spoke, asking for guidance on what they should next do. "As you have brought this femme here.. I will see her training to you. Do not allow Skyhook to slack. I want to see results, proof of her skill." He would not say it to the younger of the two femmes, but he did not for a moment buy the 'child of Megatron' act. Perhaps given time these feelings would change, but he would need much further proof before any changes in his feelings were made.
Until then.. he would allow Skyhook to live out this 'fantasy' as he so believed it to be.
Skyhook remained the very definition of calm. Her father, someone that so exactly like her father, with the same name as was right there in front of her. Though there was a slight difference in the voice she noted, but everything else was the exact same way. He was still as intimidating looking, but at least his attention was on Spacewarp, who would be overseeing her training. She was ordered not to let her slack off because he wanted to see results and the proof of her skills.
She was fine with Spacewarp overseeing her training, she was after all her Idol so she would listen to her since she was the only one she knew.
It appears that Megatron was dismissing them since he had ordered Spacewarp to show her to her quarters. She remembered her Quarters back home, it wasn’t anything spectacular since she didn’t want special treatment due to her heritage, and thus something like that would be done here as well.
Spacewarp would've sighed audibly if she weren't afraid of being the recipient of a few sideways glances for doing so. Despite such an odd set of circumstances, this meeting was fairly normal. She could only guess what the pair were thinking about right now. Though she had only known him for the briefest time, she could tell that the indifference in Megatron's tone was genuine; Skyhook's trans-universal relation to him had fallen on irreverent audials, from the sound of it.
If their roles had been swapped, Spacewarp would've at least wanted an acknowledgement out of Megatron before she departed.
She was also mighty thankful that Megatron's curiosity hadn't piqued and prompted him to ask just who Skyhook's other parent was.
Making the most of what she was given, Spacewarp bowed her head in a nonverbal agreement. She turned on her heel, gently gesturing for Skyhook to follow her back inside.
