Player Alias:
Meezer
Character Name:
Pharma
Allegiance:
Autobot
Appearance Description:
Pharma has a large, broad frame consistent with that of a larger-framed seeker. His helm is red except for his white chevron. His chestplating is white and red, with a blue center where his Autobot insignium is located. Below that is his cockpit. His wide, white wings have red medic cross markings--his chosen marking. He is rather tall, needing that tallness to hold up that broad frame. His optics are an icy and striking blue. His altmode is that of a jet, specifically a Challenger CL-604 ambulance jet.
Personality + Character Traits:
Pharma has always been known to be a little bit of what one would call a control freak. But it's not because he wants to rule anything. It's because he wants the best possible care for his patients, even if he does have to be a bit bossy about it. Rest assured, he was the same way as a teacher in Delphi, because he wanted his students to do their best, not become complacent in settling for less than their best.
He has the compassion becoming of a medic, determined to take care of his patients despite everything. However, with all the events of his past, even that has been twisted to a point, and makes him a bit more...dangerous about his care for his patients. However, he has still not been afraid to give of himself to his patients if the situation requires it--like a four-way fuel pump transplant with himself as one of the donors.
He has quick wit, able to often think of what to do in many situations quite easily--that is, if it's a predictable situation. Even in unpredictable situations, he may observe the situation in order to try to break it down into its more predictable constituents to try to solve the situation. However, he seems to get deeply frustrated if he cannot find a solution to the situation.
He tends to be eerily calm even when he's enraged, making it hard to tell when he's about to snap. One will only know he has snapped when he suddenly lashes out at them and gives them the most eerie, frigid look. Whether this is because of the trauma of the events at Delphi or trauma from the war, no one truly knows.
Of course, despite all his more negative traits, he is also quite the congenial fellow. He believes in manners, and tends not to be crass if he can help it. He tries to hold himself as a classier mech than most, hoping to keep his more twisted aspects buried beneath the classy persona he holds himself to. It is almost as though he is terrified of what his trauma has done to him, what horrors have changed him...
Weaponry:
- While technically his medical tools, his fingers and hands are capable of transforming into various medical tools.
- Chainsaws built into his arms.
- Laser scalpels, both one built into the finger and one that can be held on-hand
- A gun, which he swears is for "self defense"
History:
Pharma had been created long before the war began, forged to be a medic from Vos. He had traveled to Delphi to study under Dr. Cogwheel, one of the first medics to study in the academy, let alone under the Arachnicon medic. After his studies, Pharma himself chose to stay and not just be a medic, but be a teacher at the same facility.
It would be there that he would help Dr. Cogwheel with the next batch of students, including Ratchet. He was always proud to help his students, and see what they could do--especially when they were able to teach others, including adopted younglings brought to class with them. He would go so far as to make sure that he answered the questions of even the younglings like Ratchet's adopted Strongarm--even if he had to look up the answer and wait until he next saw them.
However, long after Ratchet's graduation--and a short time after the start of the war--the facility at Delphi would be besieged by a group of the most sadistic Decepticons known. He would, of course, find himself forced to do many things at their behest, sick and horrifying things, as well as being forced to heal them after horrifying things they did. Some of his experiences have left him more than a little twisted and shaken up.
When he was finally able to escape, he would set course to try to find familiar Autobots, praying to see them...
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
"You see, it is not that simple." Pharma's optics seemed to have an eerie iciness to them while he leveled his gaze on the mech before him. "It is not enough to simply 'redeem' oneself for the horrors one has inflicted." The Vosian medic wrung his hands, giving a dark look while he paced. How was it so hard to understand?!
Not that his face betrayed the rage bubbling beneath the surface. No, his face seemed extremely calm, as though he were speaking from a place of logic, and not just a place of emotions. Medics tended to be logical, yes? That was what he told himself when he needed to keep that rage repressed deep, the sorrows of his past encapsulating it.
"It is not enough to redeem myself for the people I have always tried to help, my fellow Autobots." He seemed to regain a bit of composure while speaking, and closed his optics for a faint moment. "How can one truly say they are redeemed in the optics of Primus? And don't tell me you don't believe in Primus. Because I do."
He clenched his fists tight, then released them. No need to betray his emotions, yes? He was a medic of passions, but that didn't mean he needed to betray his emotions.
He glanced to his visitor once more.
"Leave. I'd rather not do something I'd regret."
