Player Alias:
Connor
Character Name:
Ethan "Ronin" McClain
Allegiance:
Autobots
Appearance Description:
Ethan looks like an ordinary human teenager. He has shoulder length blonde hair that's tied up in a ponytail and ocean blue eyes. His skin tone is a light tan and he weighs 72 kilos. He has scarring from a vehicular accident as well as surgery. With clothing, he preferrs to wear a lot of dark colors. His standard outfit is a black, form fitting t-shirt, a pair of dark green camoflauge cargo pants, black Timberland boots, gloves, and a dark green zip up jacket with a baseball cap. He also wears a black, bulletproof vest underneath the jacket.
Personality:
Before being found by Marcus, Ethan was a socially awkward kid that mostly kept to himself. The whole street rat thing he got going didn't help things either. Afterwards though, he had changed. Ethan was no longer the shy kid who ran away from the orphange. He was a confident, strong-willed young man who loved to get into all kinds of trouble. Despite the fact that his adoptive father ran a criminal network, Ethan respected the man and of course was loyal to him. He's also a very stubborn person that refuses to give up. Even if someone withheld information from the boy for good reason, he will still find a way to know.
Another thing to know is that Ethan is very headstrong. If someone challenges him to a fight, he'll accept it without a second thought. Ethan also has a tendency to run into battle more often then not. While he can be an easygoing person most of the time, he is very protective of his new family. If someone threatens or hurts them, Ethan can be absolutely ruthless. He'll show no mercy. Whenever he gets into a fight, he's a big fan of making bad jokes or puns in order to piss off his opponent.

Abilities:
Combat Training: Ethan was trained in advanced hand to hand combat techniques by a personal trainer from a young age. He is a skilled practitioner of Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Jiujitsu, and Taekwondo. He's also had extensive firearms and swordsmanship training.
Need For Speed: Despite the "Incident", Ethan refused to stay away from the wheel. He's a skilled racer and have outraced cops and other racers. He also functioned as the getaway driver when he used to have an active role in his adoptive father's criminal business.
I See Everything: Well, not exactly. Ethan has a pair of cybernetic eyes. These eyes have a Heads Up Display which keeps track of information such as vitals and ammuniton count. He has a "scanner" mode where he can analyze his enviroment and find the proper path to his intended destination. He also has a night vision mode and a thermal vision mode. Both modes have a range of up to 10 feet.
Weaponry:
Ethan's preferred kind of weapons are firearms. For his sidearm, the boy carries a Sig Sauer P320 handgun with a black finish. It's chambered in .357 SIG ammunition and has a green laser sight. His main weapon is the Heckler and Koch 416 semi-automatic rifle. It has a sniper scope, a red laser sight, and a grenade launcher attachment. That's not everything though. Ethan's cybernetic arms have built in weapons. He can "shift" between two types. Both of his arms can switch into blades as long as a standard short sword. His right arm has a miniaturised rotary machine gun that is built into the forearm compartment of his cybernetic limb. The weapon is chambered in explosive tipped 7.62x55mm ammunition and has a rate of fire of 850 rounds per minute. So far the weapon can hold 180 rounds before having to reload.
History:
Ethan's childhood wasn't kind to him. His father, James Parker was a police detective in Los Angeles, California. His mother worked as an agent for the Central Intelligence Agency before she went missing. The only other family member that the boy had was his younger sister, Helen. When he was only 6 years old, Ethan's father was killed when he was working on a high profile case. Since there wasn't any next of kin to take the two siblings in, they were taken to an orphange in the city. They stayed there for the next couple of years. Unfortunately, they lived in a horrible enviroment. The adults were extremely harsh and almost Drill Sergeant like with their charges. The other kids were pretty violent too. In the end, Ethan took Helen and escaped the hell that was the orphanage. He was only 8 and she was 6. Ethan and his sister lived on the streets for the next few months. While it wasn't great, it was certainly better than the orphanage. Eventually, it looked like life was looking up for the two children.
They were discovered by an older gentleman. He looked to be in his late 30s, maybe early 40s. While he may have looked like an ordinary citizen that was concerned for thier situation, Ethan could tell that the man had an air of danger about him. After he found out more about their plight, the man who would later be known as Marcus McClain, decided to adopt them. While Ethan had some doubts about the man's motives, he went with it anyway just so his sister could be safe. 3 years have passed since then. The boy was 11 years old while his sister was 9. Despite their age, the brother and sister's adoptive father wanted them to be able to defend themselves and how to fight. He assigned the two siblings personal trainers who had military experience. The next 5 years had passed like this. Ethan and Helen would deal with their respective school lives, and afterward, they would undergo "extracurricular activities". They would consist of advanced hand to hand combat training, firearms training, and driving lessons.
Eventually, Marcus informed Ethan that he was actually the leader of a crime family when the latter turned 15. The father believed his son was ready to hear the truth and that he was ready to begin doing some part-time work for him. While the boy wouldn't actively be involved in the actual heists, he would be the getaway driver. At this point, Ethan didn't care. For the next two years, he drove a squad of heavily armed bank robbers and occasional hitmen to the target locations. Whenever he isn't pulling off gravity defying stunts, training, or studying, he would take his personal car (which was a modified, black 2014 Chevrolet Camaro with yellow racing stripes) and go to underground street racing circuits. It was supposed to be a normal race. What happened next was not normal. The race ztarted out like usuall. No one tried shoving each other off the road. When the second lap started, a new contestant entered the match. It was a vehicle of an unknown make with a black and purple paint job. That was odd. Then the unknown vehicle activated its guns and started shooting. Everyone was taken off guard with cars scattering. One exploded and another flipped upside down. The thing is, it looked like Purple was chasing after Ethan. He slammed the accelerator and used every driving trick in the book and some improvised ones to throw the attacker off. Instead, the attacker launched missiles and fired machine guns at the ground in front and around Ethan's car.
While the assailant's aim was all over the place, it eventually hit true. The bullets pattered against the doors and a missile collided with the back of Ethan's vehicle. The car went up in a ball of fire, flipped into the air a couple of times and landed belly up. Ethan could barely feel anything in his limbs. His legs have been crushed in the impact, so were his arms and he couldn't see anything either. He heard the windows shattering and came to the conclusion that he must've been blinded before he passed out. The last thing he heard were sirens, multiple vehicles pulling up and people making a commotion. He didn't expect to open his eyes again, but they did. Ethan found himself in a hospital with his sister and adoptive father waiting. Ethan's father informed him that he was in a coma for two years and updated him with what happened. Marcus never mentioned that his son was now a cyborg. He was 17 now. In the next couple of years, Ethan completed his education, completed a couple more jobs, and eventually went freelancer. Something happened. First, Ethan was heading home to his apartment in LA. Next he somehow ended up in Navada. More specifically, 20 miles away from the outskirts of Jasper, Nevada with no memory of who he was and how he got there.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
First there was darkness. Then, there was light. A young boy in his late teens opened his eyes only to be greeted by the glaring sun and the heat. In the center of his vision, he saw a red block that read, "System Rebooting". A few seconds later it said, "Reboot Successful" and then the block winked out. Another block of red in the upper left corner of his vision appeared, running through lines of code before winking out as well. Then another block read, "Warning. Memory Files Corrupted." The boy didn't know how to process this new information. As the block winked out, he sat up and glanced around. It appears that he was in a desert. He also noticed the odd tumbleweed bouncing around. The boy stood up and took started feeling around. He was wearing clothes which was always a blessing. It would've been very awkward if he wasn't even when there aren't any people around. They were a pair of black Timbs, gloves, t shirt, and a dark green hoodie along with camoflauge cargo pants. He immediately took off the hoodie, tied it around his waist and rolled up the pants. He immediately began looking for any forms of identification. All the boy found was a weapon. A Sig Sauer P320 handgun with a couple of extra magazines. What was weird though was the lack of a cell phone, money, or ID cards of any kind. What's also weird is that he can't remember anything about what he was doing before he ended up in the desert or any of his personal memories. Hell, he can't even remember his name!
The boy frowned and took stock of the situation. He was alone in the desert, with no memories, no form of ID and armed with a gun. Experienced soldier maybe? No. He could tell that he was too young for that. Or maybe not. Who knows? The boy decided to figure out a name for him. After all, he didn't remember his old one. For some reason, the word, "Ronin", kept coming up. Ronin were Japanese samurai who didn't have a master. And here he was. A young man who's unemployed, with no memories, but probably had some experience with weaponry. The name stuck. The newly christined "Ronin" smiled and laughed. He had a name. Not much, but it was a start. Now Ronin had to work on recovering his other memories and find out what exactly's going on with him. He is human right? First, he had to find civilization. So, he picked a direction andstarted walking. 20 miles later, Ronin found a city. It read, "Jasper, Nevada". At least he knows where he is now. He continued walking into the city while thinking, 'Ok. Found civilization. Just need to get some help next. Then I'll take things from there.'
