Player Alias: Shotimus
Character Name: Fulcrum
Allegiance: Decepticons (The SCAVENGERS)
Appearance Description:
Fulcrum is your average looking military mech outside of that wonderful chin of his. Primarily dressed in khaki armor with adjustable goggles and Decepticon emblems on the helmet, the only other discernible features on him are his orange face and yellow optics. These features are exclusive to all K-Class members as there wasn't a need to give them unique looks as they wouldn't be around long anyway. His original look and alt-mode are not known.
Fulcrum's current and only alt-mode of not-choice is a large bomb.
Personality:
Fulcrum is primarily an affable bot, one of his best qualities. He's easy to talk to and generally friendly with others provided you aren't a disgusting organic creature. He cares deeply for his Scavenger friends and is for the most part supportive of their individual goals. It's not to say that he can't get tired of the crazy moments with the other Scavengers of course. He's just the level headed one of the group for the most part.
Fulcrum has also been known to be a bit of a coward at times, and is deeply terrified of dying. It's that fear that's kept him alive, and having his new friends there is just going to help keep him sure of that fact. Of course, there's still that whole 'I am a bomb' thing. Since he doesn't know the explosive has been disabled he doesn't exactly want to make any literal leaps of faith unless he feels there is no other choice to keep his friends safe.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
+ Cleft the Bot Chin Wonder - Everyone Fulcrum meets comments on his great chin. It was the whole reason the Scavengers wanted him in their group.
+ The 'Sane' One - Fulcrum sees himself as one of the more sane members of the Scavengers. He can think a bit more rationally when his fear doesn't get in the way. After all, he is one of the more relatable members. Just wait until you meet the others.
+ Courage - Although he may be cowardly on his own, when Fulcrum's friends are in need of help he'll do whatever it takes to save them.. even if it means making 'the jump'.
- The Cowardly 'Con - Fulcrum tends to make a run for it when things get tough, which is what got him turned into a K-Class unit to begin with.
- Someone Set Up Us The Bomb - Being a K-Class Unit, Fulcrum is able to transform into a bomb, but not at will. He can only switch into this mode if he jumps from a high enough distance, and even then his body will do this unwillingly. Luckily for and unbeknownst to Fulcrum, Spinister disarmed the bomb feature, so he will survive drops now but will still transform. Could make a good scare tactic one day if he had the courage to do it though.
- That's Disgusting! - Organics? Especially humans? NOPE! Not today. Not ever. Fulcrum doesn't hate humans like most Decepticons do. He finds them absolutely disgusting. All those pores and the sounds they make when they vomit? Even when the other Scavengers want to hang out with a human, you can count this guy out!
Abilities:
Fulcrum is the bomb.. quite literally. Only thing is the bomb is a dud so more like he comes in like a wrecking ball? Wrecking bomb? He crashes. That's about it.
Weaponry:
Fulcrum has a blaster and the power of being 'chatty'.
History:
Forged during the war, Fulcrum found himself thrown straight into the Decepticon cause right from the beginning. Having been inspired by the idea of cleansing the universe of all organic life (gross..), he served under Deathsaurus. He did fairly good at his job, eventually becoming the project manager of B'lahr 39's eco-restructuring. However, the moment the Autobots attacked, Fulcrum made a run for it out of fear. He made it on his own a good few weeks, but everything changed with his former boss caught up with him.
Fulcrum was then imprisoned, sentenced to death by Traitor's Wheel when the Decepticons had a thought. Why waste the potential of the prisoners and make use of them? They then promptly converted Fulcrum into a K-Class unit the day he was meant to be placed on the Traitor's Wheel and boarded him onto a ship with many other K-Class units to strike Clemency. In all irony, it was Fulcrum's cowardice that saved his life that day as being paralyzed with fear managed to keep his body from transforming into a bomb as he landed.
He found himself in stasis lock, badly injured from the fall. It wasn't until a band of Scavengers found him that he awoke and was promptly pulled into their group due to how much they loved his chin. The one thing he wasn't aware of was that Spinister had defused his bomb alt-mode while in stasis lock. For now, he is just kicking back with his new friends and their many zany adventures, just trying to keep them all out of trouble.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
Fulcrum rounded the corner, gun in hand as he looked around. Flywheels? First one to go. Krok? Who knew where. Spinister? Probably lurking on the other side of the corner. Crankcase? Guy wasn't even taking part in this.
That just left Misfire to watch out for, aside for Spinister of course. Primus knew Fulcrum didn't stand the least bit of a chance if the big guy caught him first. Once the mech was sure the coast was clear, he dove down the corridor of the W.A.P., keeping an optic open just in case. It was terrifying not knowing where Spinister was!
Just around the next corner, Fulcrum spotted Misfire.. standing there and staring blankly. Of all times, this would be it, wouldn't it? Not wanting to waste his chance, the K-Class mech opened fire with his blaster, firing fake rounds at the guy. "You really need to work on this whole 'inner monologue' thing you've got going on. You're making it waaay too obvious to your opponents. How do you expect to win a game of Shoot Shoot Bang Bang when-."
And that was the moment Fulcrum was struck down by a bombardment of 'bullets' from behind. Naturally that would be the moment Spinister would appear.
