Characters: Twomp, Anyone else Location: Campsite near Jasper Content Warnings: possibly fighting Plot Summary: Twomp being a large and clearly non natural machine is confined to the Autobot ship, unfortunately her small brain is easily distracted.
The odd brown thing with horns was getting water before peeking up, skittish he began to drink again, then a large roar of grinding gears metal spooked it as a massive monster charged out of the forest breaking several trees. While incredibly fast the monster pounced like a cat and landed, it’s meter long claws forming a jagged cage for the creature. Twomp looked down curiously as the small funny thing tried to climb her hands, she wanted to pick it up to examine it but was to scared of crushing it, ”You are is funny, and fluffy.” she often spoke her mind as not a lot stayed in it as she reluctantly let the creature go. It hopped away almost gracefully she rolled herself back to full height audio senses tingling at the new sounds. She enjoyed it here, while not like her home in any real way, the spirit of the place seemed similar enough to her primal senses. She looked around unsure what to do next. She then caught a glimpse of something in the water, she walked over and looked down to find a curious looking creature looking back, it took her awhile to realize it was a reflection. Her claws grazed the water as she felt what was under her reflection. She had seen herself before just no very often and she always was lightly confused when facing a reflective surface. She felt something clash against her talons, curious Twomp reached down into the mud, parting it and grabbed the item before pulling, what she pulled out was a odd mechanical thing. She had seen other Autobots transform into it, they referred to it as car. She dumped the car of water before sitting down and looking inside the small windows, she was curious what was inside the little machine.
The sudden abundance of raptor tracks in the Mojave Desert was sure to give the passing paleontologist a heart attack. Thankfully, Slash didn't know what that word meant, which allowed her to continue her unrepentant joyride-spree. For the first time (in ever, really) since leaving Cybertron, she was completely free. No stupid exams (that she aced), no boring formations (that she did not ace), and no dumb drill instructors (that she pranked). With sand beneath her pedes and the wind to her back, Slash was finally... inescapably... free...
It was so...
BORING!
There was nothing to do! It was a desert! No wonder everything was dead! Because there was nothing to do! Besides get heatstroke and die!
Unfortunately, Slash was unable to die of heatstroke, so she was condemned to suffer the never-ending expanse of boredom indefinitely. Or, at least until she got bored and ran away again.
Harumph.
Slash was about to do just that when her audials picked up a faint hint of sweet, glorious sound. Or at least, a sound that wasn't the dream-crushing wails of her soul. Her needle sharp instincts took over, steering her nose in the direction of the inviting sound. As she trotted toward it, it became clearer. It was... a voice! Voices meant social activity.
And social activity meant friend. Until proven otherwise in a court of law.
Advancing slowly over a rocky outcropping in her raptor form, Slash surveyed the land. It was a pond! With a campsite, by the looks of it. And oh-my-primus-what-is-that? It was a thing, alright. A big, bipedal(?) mechanical thing. With horns. And it had a car!
But why did it have a car?
This question proceeded to bounce around in her skull like a turbo-gerbil on energon, obvious to the fact that her 'covert' position was not so covert, in that she was standing obscured in broad daylight.
Twomp twisted the dinky device over in her claws as she tried to be as delicate as she could to see what was inside the machine, there was often humans inside and she was curious but the her ears perked up at the intake of sound other then crushing metal. She turned sniffing and keeping her ears up but stopped upon seeing anther of her kind. Twomp blinked her optics in surprise at the sudden arrival of the other Cybertronian plus she has no idea who this new one was. Her head twitches to the side as she looked at the odd form, it reminded her of well...herself. “You are funny” Twomp suddenly said, usually when meeting anther Cybertronian she didn’t recognize Twomp would throw the nearest thing that was next to her and charge in slashing, but Slash was odd enough that she caused Twomp’s small brain to stall. Twomp lowered the car to the ground though she was still holding it as she turned to look at the femme, her Autobot symbol emblazed on her chest.
Twomp was much larger then Slash but were slash may have been immature Twomp was mentally stunted, lending to her awkward speech pattern. She kept her servos to herself because enough wrench throws from Ratchet had taught her to not touch when she first saw someone, but that wouldn’t keep for long as she looked the smaller femme up and down. Slightly sniffing in the air.
It took a moment for the photons in her brain to connect with what she was seeing, but Slash finally came right around to it. Oh, she thought, They're staring at me. They were indeed; it was quite the awkward exchange to the outside observer. The Autobot insignia hadn't been lost on Slash, not to mention it was on her as well, plastered proudly on her chest. She mentally checked off the Not-A-Decepticon box in her head, after having just willed it into existence a split second earlier.
Slash hopped down from the little outcropping she'd been perched on, and began to slowly circle around to Twomp around the pond. She kept herself about as low as her raptor-form would allow, though she remained sideways for the most part, showing her larger friend most of her surface area; as if that would be enough to deter an attack from such a larger being.
Given that ol' large and in charge hadn't picked up the nearest thing, hurled it at her, and charged in (with a sword, presumably), things were looking good so far. All of this sneaking around in broad daylight business was getting boring now, credit to her attention span where due. Slash stopped, taking a moment to transform into her more humanoid form, bits of raptor being swapped out with proper arms and legs.
She now sat, squatting, in front of Twomp, a great big curious look in her optics. She tilted her head curiously, two-year-old brain trying to piece things together with its two-year-old brain logic. Ultimately, Slash could only think to produce a single question:
Twomp looked down at Slash as she jumped off her rock, she twisted her head as far as it would go to see her before stopping and moving to the other side to continue watching as the smaller bot circled her. Twomp sniffed Slash as she settled down, both curious about the other, then the younger femme asked the question, ”Wanna fight?” twomp looked at her curiously but the permanent grin on her widened a bit. ”I are like fighting” she answered. Twomp had never had another bot walk up and just ask to fight, didn't mean that she minded though and in reality, she would love it if more Autobots did that. Fighting was one of the few things Twomp was good at and one of the things the others wouldn't be wordy with. When it came down to a fight didn't matter how many words the Bot or Con knew, it was all fists.
Twomp slammed her talons down on the place Slash was at, in her mind, it already went time. She was more experienced than her younger opponent due to her birth not that she knew, however, she was slower much slower and full of armor, so the fight could go either way already. For her, the fight would be real until one got ahold of the other's head and exposed the neck, a certain killing blow in any other fight but it wasn't feasible for Slash unless the Dinobot was stronger than she looked. Twomp didn't recognize this and continued the swing anyway assuming the rules were already clear as day to both combatants.
Slash are like fighting too. Slash... were like fighting too?
One of those, yeah.
She was relieved that her poorly thought out and impulsive request was granted so soon after she'd asked it, lest she have grown bored. It hadn't quite occurred to her how to win this fight, not that winning mattered all that much to her; she was here to have fun, primus dammit. Still though, with how large Twomp was, and how not-large Slash was, this was definitely going to be a problem. A fun problem to have, though.
As the fight began suddenly, Slash sprang up and away from Twomp's claws as they plunged themselves into the earth. The best part about popping a squat, was that you could jump away like a spring if you needed to! Slash could, at least. Though she was unquestionably short, she was still able to jump several times her height, proving this to Twomp.
As Slash continued to juke, weave, bounce and jump out of the way of Twomp's incoming strikes, she found herself being pushed back further and further. Though her predicament was dire, Slash kept a happy, jovial expression on her face at all times. There was no way she had the range to fight back without taking a big one to the jaw. If only... there was some sort of... elevated surface that she could use to- OH WAIT.
Taking the opportunity (and hoping it was still behind her), Slash hopped up one of Twomp's fists just after it had missed its mark, using it almost like a springboard to launch herself back up to the rocky outcropping she'd first spotted her friend on. Now at roughly Twomp's height, Slash kicked off of the jagged surface a split second after contact, propelling herself right toward her opponent's dome, leggy out, ready for a kick.
Twomp was having fun, even if she wasn’t hitting the smaller femme it was nice to finally punch something without being yelled at for breaking something. Twomp however telegraphed her swings pretty dam hard as she wasn’t used to smaller oppent on her world everyone was her size or larger so a smaller nippy foe was proving more challenging than she first thought it would be. she was suprised at the sudden pounce off her arm before looking up and getting kicked in the dome of her head, even though it was covered in antlers it really wasn’t a helmet or even offered vague protection. Twomp swung her clawed servo at Slash as she went down taken off balance, her stumpy rear legs requiring at least one of her arms to be a support. There was a massive splash as she fell into the water showering everything with water and lowering the water by a good margin.
Twomp looked into the sky at the change of scenery before twisting herself upward looking for her opponent. Once she located her smaller friend she plowed after her cracking apart earth in a brutish charge, she wouldn’t know if she hit the smaller one or not intill she stopped and smashing a large hill to the ground she had to rip her helm out and look around again.
A split second after the kick and still oblivious to the pull of gravity, Slash celebrated her kick with a newfound rush of energy. Energy that was quickly dissipated as Twomp's clawed appendage came along and swiped her out of the air. There wasn't an overt amount of power behind it, given that Twomp was already falling backwards by the time she landed it, but there was enough momentum in her fist to cancel out Slash's.
She spun helplessly in the air for a moment, before smacking the unforgiving ground helm-first. Ouchie. Ground hurteded. It was a hell of a swing though, even on the backfoot. Slash rolled back up to her feet only to be smacked with a wave of water. Water, she thought. She'd never experienced water before. It was wet! Wait, what was-...
Her processing capacity fully devoted to analyzing the amazingness of water, Slash was caught off guard by Twomp's sudden charge. She could've attempted to jump out of the way a little bit, but nah; she wanted to feel this one, she thought, having given herself no time to actually jump away. Caught up in Twomp's sheer gravity, Slash found herself slammed through a hill.
It wasn't the worst pain she'd ever felt, but it was certainly in there. She exploded backwards through the mess of sand, rock and dirt, rolling to a stop just a few feet from Twomp. For a few moments, Slash was completely motionless; not a single hint of life or character. And then, ceremoniously, she came back, letting out a burst of laughter.
"That was awesome!" she decreed, still positioned horizontally on the ground.
Twomp sat on her haunches as she looked around finally finding the small Femme, “You good fight” she said as she looked the bot had fun with water, she looked down realizing that everything got soaked, she shook herself as odd as it looked she had observed other animals do it with great effect. She looked back down at the femme and laughed, “You are funny, you are like water?” She asked out of curiosity. She know that much about this new femme but it did seem like she had a similar if not maybe same upbringing she probably was just found sooner. She was excited by the idea of anther like her being around. It would add a great deal of comfort with a friend instead of strangers who acted friendly.
“I are Twomp, you are Bot, where are you base?” She asked curiously, she hadn’t seen Slash around her base but assumed there must have been anther base that she wasn’t told, after all she wasn’t told much at all. Reguardless Twomp’s curiosity wasn’t that advanced and she couldn’t easily understand things, especially if it wasn’t reguarded her way.
Honestly, as much as she was enjoying herself, that last blow knocked more than the wind out of her. No way she was getting up and launching any kind of offensive after that. Still, Slash had funs. Damn right Slash was good fight, she thought to herself. With a bit of effort, Slash rolled backwards and back up to her feet, just a bit dusty from being plowed through a hill. Twomp's comment threw her for a loop, however.
Is water funny?
Am I funny?
Therefore, am I w-
Oh.
"Yeah Slash like water," she replied, adopting some of Twomp's vocal mannerisms. Base. Base base base. "I know where base is," Slash nodded proudly, before pursing her lips as the other details came flooding in. "I stowed away on BIG ship! Came to Earth when big mean Autoheads told Slash not to come. I also ran away from base, which is THAT way!"
Slash pointed in a vague direction just west of them, which was approximately the direction she'd come from. Although she was a little bit hesitant, showing up with a giant friend like Twomp meant that nobody'd mess with her! They might try, though.
“You base know my base?” Twomp asked, she didn’t much care if Slash played stowaway, to Twomp the strategy of the higher ups were a unessarcy mystery. “You are beat autoheads, you are need independent.” She told the younger bot, in Twomp’s mind she assumed Slash and here had the same exact roles, lone hunters, maybe Slash wasn’t a wrecking ball, but she had a hard time viewing any of the Autobots as social around her., probably treating her with tired patience as much as Twomp. Twomp didn’t really hold it against them but she did find some of the more lesser leaders liked to send her to the front lines to soak up the damage for them, so in her mind that ment all leaders had a similar strategy meaning Slash would have to become independent and strong too. Twomp didn’t know that much about Slash but judging by her term of her language she at least cared if not valued the other’s opinions of her.
“Autoheads are no survive like I and you, you are no need them fancy words, You are follow strongest, you are be strongest” Twomp told her, she wasn’t trying to be sagely even if it sounded like she was. To her she was stating the obvious and therefore needed to be said.
