Player Alias: jadedbell
Character Name: Airachnid
Allegiance: Decepticon
Appearance Description: A mecha that is taller than Arcee, but only comes up to the chest of Breakdown, she gives off a black spider appearance with her mainly black armor with a purple protoform underneath. She has cold accents on the underside of her wrists, kneeplates, shoulders, and on the edges of her helm. Her helm has two pointy horns and shapes around her face.
From her back, she has six extra appendages, reminecent of spider legs, handing from her back, three on each side, like wings. She is prone to walking around on these legs instead of her feet, which gives her extra height and extra parts to fight with.
Personality: Cocky and arrogant, these can be considered the most positive aspects, as well as highlights of her personality. A loner by nature and preference, Airachnid relies solely on herself. If anything, she only turns to the Decepticons when she needs them, not out of loyalty to the faction itself. She prefers to be solo at all times, save for when she actually needs something from someone. She is most comfortable being on top, whether in a fight with an enemy or leading, and when the moment suits her. Extremely guarded, she protects herself and her assets first, willing to abandon others in times of trouble. Her behavior can be called cowardly as well, as she will run from a fight she cannot win.
She enjoys being a threat to ally and foe alike, preferring to strike fear. The only thing grander than being a solo operative is being able to head and control her own army. She rather likes that the Insecticons look to her as a kind of queen, being that they are both insectoid mecha, although still very different. There is a slight obsession on her end with Arcee, having both been long time enemies, ever since she killed Arcee's first partner. Airachnid is a true sadist, in both that she loves causing as much pain as she could and wishing for an equally ruthless treatment in return.
Strengths + Weaknesses: An able tactician and manipulator, Airachnid knows how to get what she wants. Quick minded, she tends to have solid planning that lets her be able to achieve her goals with a pretty high success rate. She is highly skilled in torture, and by extension, interrogation, as being caught by her is assuredly a death sentence.
Her weakness comes in two ways. One, in her belief that she is more able to work better alone. While this can be true in most cases, she has ended up failing when she is teamed up against. This loner mentality also gets her in trouble, as she ends up isolating herself further into her own problems. The second is that she is not able to change plan direction when something comes up. She is so set into her plans, that any kind of hiccup undoes what she built up, often backing into a retreat.
Abilities: Airachnid would classify as a triplechanger with her spider mode and helicopter mode being seperate. She can also use her legs as a drill when she brings it together. She has the ability to shoot sticky webs, ensnaring her prey/victims on it, be they organic or Cybertronian.
History: One of the few known Arachnicons in existence, Airachnid had made no qualms or secret about her psychopathic nature. Affiliating herself with the Decepticons, she became the one of the faction's most deadly interrogators, taking extreme pleasure in hurting anyone caught in her web.
Her past before the war itself is unknown, although it can't be argued that she has made hiding in the shadows her specialty. As the war wound down (or rather, trudged on) though, she started to grow bored of all of it. Seeking new pleasures, she abandoned rank, choosing to go off on her own to other planets to hunt for other species, collecting their dead bodies and putting them on display on her ship.
It could be fate then, that she finally set her optics on the planet Earth after millions of years of hunting other planets, even to “extinction” as she would brag. It is there that she came across an old enemy, an interesting organic, and a reunion with her fellow Decepticons...
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
Ah, Earth...
How I have began to loathe this filthy mudball of a planet.
If it wasn't for that human, and that wretched Autobot, Arcee, I would not be stuck here, under the mighty thumb of Lord Megatron.
Airachnid's heels click clacked along the halls of the Nemesis, plainly ignoring the Vehicons and Eradicons that quickly skirt around her to get out of the way. Her arrogance is plain as day in her stature, with the way she walked. That, coupled with the rather dour expression on her face made most others who were not Megatron, or even Soundwave, believe that the smartest move was to not get in her line of sight.
As it was, she was bored. Bored and twitchy. Curse the need to join up with the Decepticons again! Curse the very thing that she sought freedom from that she had to follow the directives of the command, again. Her mood grew more dark as she continued to make her way to the main hull, where the rest of the Cons have gathered for a meeting, or a roll call, as Soundwave plainly put it.
As soon as everything was done though, she was off again. Her need to see beings bleed throbbed in her circuits, warming up the energon that coursed through her frame. Yes, that is what she will do... she'll sneak away from the watchful sight of Soundwave and go down to earth. Her tiny quarters is just begging for a more tasteful and personalized decoration...
