Player Alias: KromJax
Character Name: Atomizer
Allegiance: Autobot—for now.
Appearance:
Personality: Atomizer is a wily mech, never short an idea nor a method of getting himself out of trouble as quickly as he got himself into trouble. Atomizer has something of a taste for intricacies as an engineer, and will gladly shove his servos into some greasy gears in order to make a bomb or repair a ship. His more preferable paste time is creating weapons, and getting his hands on fancy explosives. Over the years, Atomizer has developed a taste for fancy weapons. Something flashy yet old fashioned like a bow and arrow appeals to the mech’s tastes.
Though being an assassin and an engineer has brought him to focus on more destructive tasks, within Atomizer resides an artist who indulges in painting flame decals, or any wicked sick paint job. The engineer takes pride in his work.
Atomizer has a darker more manipulative side though. If he believes who he is following is incapable of succeeding in the objectives, he will find those who can get the job done. If Atomizer believes what he is doing is for the greater good, then Atomizer will dedicate every scrap of his time in the sidelines to ‘doing what must be done’. Even if that means manipulating friends. This is not something he will do instantly. Atomizer will often take things into his own hands as a last resort, and only if another handful of people agree with his points.
Often times this more mischievous side is coated over with a thick layer of offensive jokes, or his sheer delight in getting his hands on fancy weaponry.
Strengths:
Skillz: Atomizer is a gifted bowsman, having excellent accuracy. He can perform any number of complex moves with his crossbow and(if Ultra Magnus takes it away) his bow. Atomizer is a fine archer, with sharp eyes which coordinate excellently with his hands and feet. The mech is extremely confident when he has his bow or corss bow in his hands, and it is often somewhat demoralizing when they break or someone takes them away.
Grease Monkey:
Atomizer was and is an interior designer for ships and anything that has thrusters, or anything that might launch sharp projectiles. Atomizer can work with any piece of scrap his teammates might let him pick up and turn it into something cool, or a nifty -to his bow or crossbow. He can slap together many different things.
Crafty:
In the sense that he’s good with his hands and is smarter than others might anticipate. Atomizer may be one of the first mechs to jump off a helicopter in order to parachute into the thick of battle, but that doesn’t mean he’s a dummy. Cons and Autobots may not know it, but both might need to watch their step with Atomizer. He has a visor over his eyes, and no one really knows what he has his eyes on.
Speedster
Atomizer is a classic bot in the sense that his alternate mode is a flaming cool sports car ready to jump from 0 to 60 in a snap.
Weakness:
His own path: With intelligence comes a strong independence. He won’t hesitate to fine some loophole even if he’s been drilled with Autobot regulations at the start of his career. Atomizer isn’t afraid to defy a commander—(preferably)subtly or outright. He’s a trickster; in the end, he does need someone to watch his back as he strikes out on his own.
Offensive:
‘Whatever smiler’
Atomizer’s tongue can be as sharp as it is comforting, or snarky for that matter. Sarcasm and bad jokes stream through his mouth guard like a river. Sometimes a superior, equal, or minor can be the butt of the jokes. If anything is extra hard to get from Atomizer, it’s his respect.
Quick to Judge:
Atomizer’s got standards for his leaders, his peers, and his enemies. He is hasty to conclude what they need to be and what they aren’t. This can often prevent him from entering too much peaceful conversation when it comes to enemies, or neutrals. He wants to know who he’s talking to, and sometimes that means he’s going to make them who he thinks they are in his helm. Or who they should be. This often prevents him from suspecting the victim of doing what they might actually be doing, like a good deed for example. It can be too easy for Atomizer to miss the bigger picture.
Gotta be fast:
Atomizer is not one known for his endurance. He usually tries to make battles as quick and precise as he can since his original purpose was engineering, not being an assassin archer. His systems overheat after a long battle, and he will suffer slight malfunctions, or sharp cricks in his limbs.
Not so great at close range:
Atomizer is not the best at hand to hand combat, and prefers space or some stretch of distance in order for him to fire his arrows or get ready to. Getting up close to the mech can cause him trouble, especially since small confined spaces are not his strong suit in combat.
Light armor:
Yet another reason Atomizer prefers long range to close in space is because despite the fact that his armor seems thick and compact, his armor is rather light; not originally designed for combat. It suites him much better for being the speedster he is, but it cannot take many heavy hits at all.
Blind :
Without his visor Atomizer’s optics do not function very well at all. Behind his visor his optics can function like the sharpest pair of eyes, but without his visor, Atomizer’s sight is crippled.
Abilities:
Anything that is a ‘high velocity melee weapon’ is something Atomizer is gifted with. Overall, Atomizer if gifted with plenty of different fire arms.
When he’s not killing, Atomizer is a great writing critique, and loves nothing more than quoting Fisitronisms. (which might drive his teammates insane)
Weaponry:
Crossbow:
A weapon that Atomizer is especially attached to, the Crossbow has much farther range than his bow. The Crossbow also sends Arrows at a much faster speed. Atomizer admires it as a sniping tool, although it does take a few precious minutes to reload. This weapon also has a scope.
Bow:
The classy-looking revved up and custom bow is often what Atomizer holds in his servos; he can shoot more arrows quicker, it has a decent range and thrust, and he’s a crack-shot with it.
Arrows:
Atomizer has a variety of arrows, some with super heated tips, jagged heads, or just explosive arrows. The majority of his collection are plain sharp-tipped arrows—and his default projectile.
History:
Little is actually known about how Atomizer became an Autobot, or what exactly motivated him to carry on throughout the war. Whatever this was, he certainly hasn’t said, and no data has been made available to tell anyone asking such questions. What is known that he was as good of an engineer as he was an assassin, and it would stand to reason that he earned both reputations not by accident or mere rumor.
---
History that once was Atomizer’s known history was lost due to the Convergence. Events on the Lost Light have been erased or painted over with a new and thin coat of reality, and frankly, even Atomizer doesn’t know his past now.
Writing Sample:
There was good news and there was bad news. The good news was that He was in perfect condition, he still had his awesome alternate mode, and what was in his hands was none other than his trusty cross bow. Atomizer could have sworn that the Magnus had removed it from him because of whatever rule the mech knew about. He had a fresh stash of arrows and[/b] his custom made bow. His flashy paint job was as new as ever, with all those nasty scratches long gone.
The bad news was Atomizer had no idea where he was or how he’d gotten anywhere. He groggily looked at his surroundings. He was in a stasis pod. Atomizer blinked twice behind his visor as he confusedly stumbled out of the pod, for a second thinking in anguish that he’d been double crossed by Getaway or the Magnus had sent him off. It was then that the universe fogged his memory as Atomizer struggle to confirm any answers from his own data banks.
No luck.
Atomizer grunted as he tapped his cross bow on the butt, as if the assurance that it was real provided him with some more good news. Alright. So. Atomizer’s visor skimmed over the trees, grass, and city in the distance. I’m back on earth. The Autobot struggled once again to try to grasp any memories, but to no avail. Atomizer brushed a servo over his scalp, there was a small dent there. Perhaps he’d hit his head so hard he couldn’t remember. Somehow he felt that he wasn’t the only Autobot on Earth though.
“Well then. Ready or not. Here I come.”
