Name: CV-2290, Maleki (Mal-eh-ky)
Allegiance: Decepticon(?)
Appearance: Maleki holds the standard specialized Black ops vehicon appearance, and almost looks entirely like Sv-19, save for his seeker parts. His form holds more battle scars, some mended, some painted over with a proud yellow paint. Maleki’s form also has a few missing pieces, thanks to a few battles he’s been in, and some careless medics.
He has a shamefully scratched paintjob, and any style that may have been put into it is long passed. Random chrome and dark colored parts show from under chipped paint. It’s seems from the outside that the vehicon wasn’t made with the best materials. But nonetheless, the vehicon stands proudly, or as if he’s got something up his sleeve. Intelligence and courage glimmer in his visor, like a mech who’s got nothing to lose, but isn’t scared to have some fun either.
Personality: Maleki is a wild spirit. He’s independent, he’s blindly bold, and isn’t afraid of too much. His courage can be as boundless as his cunning. Bad odds, little chance of survival, standing up for what he believes is what an average day looks like for him. Maleki fights with his spirit, and frankly thinks because he does he can do almost anything. His determination makes him as tough as nails, he focuses on the light that’s at the end of the tunel. He will do much to accomplish whatever goals he has.
His strong personality gets him into about seventy five percent of the trouble he gets into though. He is a vehicon, but someone clearly wired him poorly—or simply was playing with life. Maleki holds respect for his superiors, but if he’s going to serve them, that means he isn’t scared to take things into his own hands. He does what he believes is right. He often clashes in opinions with his superiors. He is dangerously aware of what he is supposed to be, and what he isn’t. He doesn’t play by logic, but rather depends on figurative thinking and bold theories to discover whatever he desires. He jumps to crazy conclusions, or erects within his mind something that falls short of reasonable.
Such behaviour normally isn’t expected of a vehicon. However, Maleki’s audacity and attitude is due to how aware he is of what he is, and what’s happening within him.
He knows that he wasn’t built to last forever, and instead of only having a kill switch, he has an extremely weak spark. His knows his days are numbered, so he lives as much as he can. The thrill of battle, and challenging himself or others is what he thinks is one of the few things he has. Deep down, he’s actually scared of when he’ll die, because he doesn’t know when or where. He’s terrified of the future. Maleki thus gave himself a name, and decided to live like a warrior, perhaps be his own mech a little.
To top his strange behavior all off, Maleki also has a bit of a tongue. He’ll be a hardcore sarcastic crass if given the opportunity, and is known for his remarks, and being able to snap back very easily.
Strengths:
-light armor: Maleki may be twenty five feet, and a seeker, but in order to retain excellent speed and aerodynamics (and because he was made out more or less of scrap metal) his armor is rather light, almost to the extent where it’s arguable his armor wasn’t designed for combat at all. This does let him move around without being burdened by the weight of descent armor though.
-I got da moves man Vehicon survival-of-the-fittest-Black Ops-boot-camp(that’s the nice way of putting it) has given Maleki some good survival instincts, hand to hand combat maneuvers. He’s survived numerous close calls(thanks to his terrible armor). He’s also made up many of his own moves. He’s not afraid to try out new ones either.
-Gonna seize the day Maleki believes as a vehicon, he doesn’t have a whole lot to lose. In truth, he doesn’t, so he goes into any battle with both feet, and is ready to kill in a moments notice. He could be chatting with you one second, and then trying to break your neck the next. And he has no problem or conflicting feelings.
-Once a bro, always a bro
Maleki’s fiercely loyal to all his friends. His friends might as well be his commanders, if they ask him to do something, he’ll do it for them. Carry those supplies over that cliff and through the river? Gotcha. Draw enemy fire? Sure thing.
-Packs a punch : He can move fast, and is a heavy hitter. He’s reasonably strong, and actually can depend on his strength quite a bit. It cannot rival that of Grimlock or Megatron, but his strength is something that greatly contributes to Maleki being able to hold his own.
-Aero Acrobat: Maleki's a skill flier, his armor may be made of scrap metal but he knows how to fly extremely well. he can go faster than the average vehicon flier, also thanks to his light armor and powerful thrusters.
Weakness:
-Okay. I know you’re my superior, but you’re an idiot.: Maleki’s programmed bravery and recklessness means he’s not afraid of too much. That includes being flat out honest. His excuse to being this way is the fact he was reprogrammed like, a ba-jillion times (three). He’s a sucky liar isn’t he?
Some commanders are chanced with having to display dominance in more than one way with this vehicon. He’s not afraid to tell a commander or officer they’re weak either, or what he thinks of them.
-NOT programmed to be an ambassador: Maleki’s quite used to being a killing machine. He also is a very snappy mech, and it takes real effort to try to make peace with him. His distrust for his programming has lead him to believe the enemies probably worse than his superiors if he can’t trust the folks within his faction. He’s extremely paranoid of the enemy. He can turn the most peaceful tea party into Unicron’s wrath unleashed.
-Logic? That’s a cute. : Maleki uses figurative thinking, and makes connections with his imagination. He’s smart, but he only uses logic sometimes if hardly at all. Logic’s thrown out the window pretty often. Fish gotta swim, Vehicon’s gotta shoot.
-Deep down :His reflexes are great, he’s good at what he does. But. His spark has an experiation date, and Maleki knows it. Every day his spark gets ever so slightly weaker, and the clock’s ticking for when he goes offline. He’s an experimental model of vehicon, and though he does have a kill switch, his spark’s been modified to not last as long as average cybertronians. He isn’t aging, his spark simply is slowly losing power.
To know each passing moment he’s getting closer and closer to his inevitable death scares Maleki more than anything. It’s caused him to be frightened of what the future holds. Like his killswitch, it keeps him in check the most.
-Spasms: His spark’s growing weaker and weaker, and as the days pass, sometimes he passes out since his spark is beginning to lose enough power to support him. Hitting him in the chest encourages his spark to flicker off temporarily, or knock him out easy.
-Confused: He can’t define right from wrong. He has a hard time acknowledging his feelings and doesn’t know which instincts to trust since he knows there’s some he cannot. Orders are really all he has to follow, it’s that or an empty void and getting his killswitch pulled. Inside he’s tormented, since he can’t trust all of his own thoughts. He thinks he’s probably going to go insane eventually. Worst off, he doesn’t know if it’s worth learning what’s good and bad, because if he’s a good boy, he could get fixed…maybe.
-That’s gonna hurt : Maleki can’t feel psychical pain, and it’s hard for him to stay aware of all his wounds. Running him into the ground can be easy once someone gives him enough wounds. They can make himself his own worst enemy in the sense that he won’t realize he needs to stop until he’s more dead than alive.
-Bad armor : Maleki’s armor’s not truly made for close quarters combat, or any combat to speak of. Penetrating it hitting vitals, slipping a needle full of poison or simply slicing through the armor is not a problem. His armor is not explosive resistant, heat resistant, or resistant to anything at all. In cold regions, it does a poor job of maintaining his temperatures.
-Not much for Hide and seek : Maleki’s made to be black ops, but he doesn’t do stealth as well as his brothers. He scores about just below average on being super stealthy. His destructive nature probably has a part in this. Nonetheless, Maleki simply doesn’t do stealth very well.
Abilities:
Eating: Thanks to continuity errors, Maleki can consume bagels without any of his systems backfiring. It doesn’t actually give him any energy to speak of, bagel eating is simply for pleasure. Especially since he can taste them. But he hates Raisins in his bagels. They’re just the worst.
Can’t feel a darn thing: Like all of the vehicons in the Black ops vehicon projects, Maleki has something cheaply made or is missing a few parts. His problem is he has no pain receptors. He cannot feel the agony of any blow, or the softness of any breeze. He doesn’t know what it’s like to physically feel something. While he’s glad about that when it comes to fighting, it’s agonizing when he wants to feel shaking someone’s hand, fist pumping, the smoothness of marble, or the shoulder of a comrade. Not even when his spark starts to weaken either.
Weaponry:
Brass knuckles:
When in doubt, Maleki punches the living who out of his enemies. These metal pieces that protrude from his knuckles are made of more solid metals than any of his weapons.
Custom Assault Rifle:
Maleki actually took this weapon from a dead Autobot. Something about it being an experimental weapon made by some guy called ‘Atom-something’. It had the guy’s signature on it but it got scratched out. But whatever, finders keepers.
The rifle is extremely accurate, and shoots lasers at a rapid rate. The rifle is best suited against light armored and medium armored targets, and takes a much longer time to chew through heavy armor. The gun’s range is commendable, however, a catch to it is if it’s being used for sniping the user must have extremely steady hands. The rifle it considerably heavy, and needs two hands to operate.
Jetboots :
His seeker alt mode positions his thrusters in his lower legs. Maleki’s jumps can be boosted, or he can fly for very limited amounts of time.
History:
CV-2290 was made as a black Ops vehicon similar to his brother Sv19, in fact both were made within the same hour. Only CV-2290 was given different programming thanks to his lack of pain receptors. He was designed to be more bold and quite more suicidal than his brothers. Any caution that may have been inserted in his programming was for the most part replaced with an incredible recklessness, as well as a witty creativity in battle so he would do more than run into a spearhead.
This may have let CV-2290 live up to expectations along with limits if he hadn’t been recycled three times. At first, he was going to be programmed for maintenance. Some higher up decided that it was a waste, and decided to reprogram him to be regular vehicon soldier. However, during the programming process, a scientist decided to use the potential vehicon for another project, since CV-2290 was a spare protoform, and plenty of other vehicons were being mass produced. Hence, he was again prepped for reprogramming, this time it would be permanent. Normally, this may have caused a processor to simply glitch, however, CV-2290’s brain module began to get accustomed to digressing from it’s given purposes. It was as if deep in the processor’s wiring, perhaps even in CV-2290’s subconscious, he was already being tutored to call one kind of thinking idiotic, and another better. Maintenance was at first a humble job. Then the duties of a regular soldier seemed much more praiseworthy. Finally, black ops methods were simply new.
But somehow, CV-2290’s mind was already asking if there was something better, or if there was more than what it was being introduced to. Some could say the scientists were sloppy, but since no one cares about just another type of grunt, CV-2290’s thinking began to grow.
Throughout boot camp, CV-2290 was considered the oddball of his brothers. Orders were followed, but CV-2290’s mind wondered what beyond the simple orders he was given, or the programming he had. Some of his brothers remarked on how what went on his helm loosened his programming, while others pointed out that he was meant to be different. His reckless programming played a fine part in giving him some independence—
--But because he learned to not completely trust his programming, he found himself with a lack of morals, unable to discern what was ‘right’ and what was ‘wrong’. He was made without a conscience, but knew there was a right and a wrong. The ways his superiors had previously ensured he remained loyal to the Decepticons was to make him realize he could only trust his brothers. CV-2290 could only exchange with those within boot camp and those who survived real battles. Since he had a heartlessness as large as his recklessness, not only did he not know what was right or wrong, but he simply couldn’t decide if it ultimately mattered.
Throughout his missions, CV-2290 began to notice his individuality, and believed it was his right to take a name for himself. Thus, he dubbed himself Maleki. However, Sv19 proved to be the only vehicon who bothered calling him by his new name.
