The midday sky was beautiful. Stormgear found herself draw in by it’s pale blue color. And yet, that sky was the same one she lived in. Outside her window back home, a small energon carrier called The Eclipse, The sky was black with bright orbs called stars. Storm couldn't piece together why this sky looked different. If only she had a scientific explanation. Oh well, maybe she could ask Ratchet, or even Jazz later. That required her to leave the roof, a place that she shouldnt be. ‘Off limits’ the door had said, but she came up here anyways. This was her first time outside the base. Not on a mission, but to take a break. A wonderful place of silence. So here she was, laying flat on her back upon the roof. She admired the sky in deep thought, not thinking twice of the rules she was breaking. However, she didn't know said rules were nonexistent. Furthermore, she didn't know she would receive a visit from someone. [ Optimus Prime ]

Field reports had been gathered, many were accounted for... Even Wheeljack's report was something. Yet the Leader of the Autobots found that one in particular was missing. Field reports tend to lend in insight of what may have happened and what is possible. Be it a friendly or hostile that holds some tells to their attacks. This information will prove invaluable! Even if he has to acquire it through verbal means than written ones.
The individual he seeked out was Stormgear, a relatively small femme on the team. Which admittedly he had missed seeing her due to her height. Something of which he caught himself later and mentally cursed himself at. Through out the base he searched before resorting to the cameras at the security terminal. If one were to ask him now. He'd simply respond with a security check up and a search for an individual to speak with. He soon found who he was searching for... A place where she shouldn't really be. With this new knowledge he took his leave from the terminal to head on up to the roof.
Discerning this was. Having found someone up here on the roof usually meant they wanted solitary and to be with their thoughts. No field report and the roof? He had guessed something bad had happened and Stormgear needed some time. As caution soon enveloped him, he gave a knock on the door to the elevator that lead up to the roof. Clack clack rasped his knuckles on the well lubed door that didn't make much a noise when opening. Maybe it was well kept as said base was in an area where dust storms frequented.
"Sorry for the intrusion Stormgear. I was wondering about a few things before finding you here. All fairs well I hope?" He stayed near the elevator, waiting for a response that would determine if time was needed or talk was available.

It was hard to say how much time had passed. Before Stormgear knew it, someone had knocked on the old elevator door that lead to the roof. Stormgear immediately sat up, turning her head towards the new arrival. Stormgear guessed it would have been Jazz. He’d been visiting frequently since she had helped him fix his ship’s engine. She had yet to ask him when they were going to replace the depth range finder on the ship scanner. She also assumed it would be Ratchet. After all, she’d been visiting him quite a lot lately. But she rejected that thought. He’s probably slightly annoyed with my nagging about those notes. However, Optimus himself emerged from the entrance. An immediate expression of guiltiness and surprise crossed her faceplate. At first Stormgear thought he was up here for the view. Sadly he’d turned towards her, confirming Storm’s suspicions. Oh primus this is really bad... After a few seconds of looking at the autobot leader, she looked away like a child in serious trouble. The thing is, Stormgear is on the verge of growing out of her youngling stage. Some would call her next phase a ‘rebellious teenage’ stage. So in all honesty, maybe she wouldn’t get in that much trouble. But first had to find out why the big guy was on the roof. She peaked at Optimus a little bit, noticing he was keeping close to the exit. It was rather puzzling. What’s up with him??"Sorry for the intrusion Stormgear. I was wondering about a few things before finding you here. All fares well I hope?"Stormgear sat up fully, pulling her kneepads to her chestplate. She brought her servos to her knees and looked at them. She wanted to avoid eye contact. She’d pieced together why he was keeping his distance. Does he think i’m trouble or something? As far as she could observe herself, she wasn’t troubled at all. The last few months have been rather normal. Infact, she hadn’t done anything substantial since her mission to attain the Quill, one of the many ancient Cybertron relics. Chronon had debated what to do with it, but she had disappeared. Do that left Stormgear with the relic. And she didn’t know what to do with it. She’d been quiet for a few long seconds; she’d chosen her words carefully. “Yah, I'm okay. I was up here looking at the sky. It’s so much different compared to the view from my window at home. Why is this sky blue with a bunch of puff balls?” Stormgear allowed her answer to drift off topic. For two very good reasons. One, she wanted to avoid any possible nagging. And the other reason was to avoid awkwardness. This was the first time she’d ever talked to the big guy. After all, she’d heard so many stories from her adoptive dad about the Autobot Leader. To her, he was a walking piece of history. And the last thing she’d want to do it embarrass herself in front of him.

Optimus knew not how long Stormgear had resided up here, only guessing as to how long. That or he could look at the video recordings on the security cameras. At that point he dismissed it as it would show too much insecurity of his fellow Autobots. Of which Stormgear went through a mental list of who would mostly likely be up here to assist her, Optimus not being on such an inclusive list.
The look of concern and guilt had the leader of the Autobots draw his head back slightly just as Storm threw her gaze away from him to hide something. What was it? Cautiously he approached Stormgear with his shoulders drooping a tad to appear as non threatening in his massive bulky form as possible. No harm was meant here, instead he wanted to learn more and help her feel comfortable around any and all Autobots here. That will be an interesting goal for him.
The current goal for him now was to figure out what was happening with Stormgear. He guesses it has to do with other members of the Autobots, yet he ruled that out as he knew some of them would never belittle her to come up to the roof. Was it the mission? It was a success! She should be happier... His arms crossed over his chest while he listens to her speak, taking in her words while his optics took in the visuals of the skies above.
Perhaps a change of topic from his to hers was in order. The blue of the skies above was observed and soon memories of what he read came through, "Different worlds hold many beauties amongst them. Earth being called a blue marble by the inhabitants due to the excess of water. So much of it that it exists in the skies and the forms clouds when in mist form. Also when light hits it, the blue is absorbed that creates what we see before us. Humans have studied this phenomenon for some time now and recorded it. At this point it is simply a scientific theory for them." He may have to read more on what the humans have discovered, or even written down as fiction for entertainment between missions. hopefully Agent Fowler can provide him reading material.
