Player Alias:
Thundercat
Character Name:
Skystalker
Allegiance:
Autobots/Predacons
Appearance Description:
Skystalker's alternate mode is like that of a mythological dragon. His form is easily 15 feet from nose to tail tip with bulky to lean shape, being smaller than some of his fellow Predacons with metal wings that seem like tattered feathers and are flexible enough to be folded against his back similar to some bird-formers. There is a small section in his wings that allows for two circular discs to also be held and deployed when he needs to while his form is for the most part mainly sleek, strong, and surprisingly graceful. Majority of his coloration is a regular blue with light blue for his wings, metal following along his jaw, and his lower legs to his paws. White shows up on his horns, tail spikes, single stripes on his thighs and claws with yellow on his knee joints, heavily armored shoulders, and glowing on his abdomen and optics.
With being more upright in robot mode, he gains two feet to stand at 17 feet, once again still being shorter than most Predacons. Though he still retains a sleek and graceful look in this mode, Skystalker also shows the strength with a visible feral look to his face, which is covered by a retractable face guard which covers up to his yellow, reptilian looking optics and two tusk-like protrusions on the side of his face. His wings are also still capable of use in this form along with his tail remaining but can be detached. His Autobto insignia is emblazoned proudly on his chest while he retains his Predacon insignias on his upper arms just below the shoulder armor, a way for him to never forget he is still a Predacon and where he comes from.
Personality:
With being a Predacon, no one can deny that Skystalker easily lives up to their reputation as a feral, fierce beast. He has a side of him that is nothing but that, furious, angry, and feral to the point he comes on the brink of causing untold destruction when he falls into the primitive thought of his ancestors. His answer to handling a quick and hot temper is destroying whatever may be around him, regardless if its of value or not, usually it is the only way he sees any way of calming down. Or finding an enemy to try and tear apart with his bare claws and fangs should the chance arise.
But, Skystalker is more than capable of showing that he can also stand out from the others. Beneath the beast inside Skystalker is truly a highly intelligence, logically thinking individual. He takes time to access situations, mulling over ideas of how to handle them to the best of his ability and is exceptionally quick to adapt to his surroundings. He thinks and deliberates about things, testing, hypothesizing, and evaluating matters to the point it shocks some he is the beast he becomes. He is curious and inquisitive, seeming to have a mind that would have made his creator, Shockwave, quite proud since he does what he can to learn new things and is capable of deciphering situations and problems with surprising accuracy with little information needed. Although with only being a few months old, there is not much he understands of his new world and his inquiries can tend to get on some bots nerves, especially when he tends to press for information if he remains unsatisfied by their answers.
When not in his usually beast state and though easily provoked, Skystalker can actually be quite laid back and rather calm. He almost seems serene even and loves to take time to explore and understand his world better since he has not be online for very long. In fact, some things elude him such as being social, the Autobots large capacity for such things as kindness and compassion, and the fact there are rules and protocols to be followed. He is the type to be terrible in social situations, usually being blunt, forward, and lacking understanding in sensitivity or hiding his feelings about someone. And unfortunately Skystalker is a nightmare for those who insist on following rules and protocol, finding these limiting, irritating, and unnecessary, feeling he is more than capable of judging and regulating his own actions which tends for him to ignore rules or butt heads with some bots.
Strengths:
Agile/Swift: Skystalker's form was built to be sleek and graceful, allowing him to be exceptionally fast and agile on the ground and in the air. He moves fairly quickly and lightly on his feet whether it be two feet or four, sometime outmaneuvering some opponents and is quite acrobatic. He may not be faster than those with a jet form or speedsters, but he is more than capable of holding his own in the speed department.
Durable: But, Skystalker is also built like most Predacons with having some bulk to his form which makes him durable and being able to take quite a bit of punishment. Although nothing to the caliber of say Predaking, Darksteel, or Skylynx, he is able to take most punishment others dish out and keep on fighting.
Flight: Skystalker has some good old fashioned wings on his upper back which spread out almost roughly the same length of his body, being powerful enough to easily lift him in the air and at least one other passenger no bigger than say Bumblebee. With this, he is capable of some aerial acrobatics and allowing him to be held aloft without the need for thrusters, being capable of being used in both robot and dragon modes. His wings are also capable of holding and deploying his Cryostrike Disc Launchers by folding them forward with enough force to send them flying.
Tactical Mind: Skystalker is a highly intelligent Predacon capable of thinking on his feet and adapting to a situation based on a little bit of information, often coming up with a few different strategies to get out of a tight spot or in combat. This comes from his tendency to observe, analyze, deliberate, and test different hypotheses to find the best way to get things accomplished.
Close Quarters Combat: Over the short time he has been online, Skystalker has found himself quite at home in fighting up close and personal with bots, most of his weapons fitting for a close quarters setting. To help with this he has learned some Cybertronian hand-to-hand and has studied some Earth-based fighting styles of which to include. Though he also makes use of his dragon form such as headbutts, smacking someone with his wings or tail, ramming into someone, or evening dropping them from the sky.
Weaknesses:
Quick Temper: Despite his calculating mind, Skystalker is unfortunately prone to being easily provoked and enraged, triggered by his more primitive, feral instincts he got from his Predacon nature. As a result, he tends to go into a berkserker state of destroying things around him or unleashing his wrath on friend and foe alike, taking several minutes to calm down or for someone to talk him down.
Flight: Unfortunately, Skystalker does have a drawback with his wings, mainly that the metal is not very durable like other parts of his body and can be damaged for easily hindering him from flying properly or keeping him grounded. He also cannot lift anyone any large then roughly the size and bulk of Bumblebee, and when he does this often leaves him slowed down or a target in combat if the one he is carrying doesn't at least cover this drawback. After long periods, Skystalker can grow tired from the constant flap of his wings and will have to move on the ground while his flight and diving speed aren't on par with those of vehicle aerial forms, especially seekers.
Crude Fighting Style: Skystalker's fighting style is...less then impressive. In fact, he has no true fighting style other then a mishmash of Cybertronian hand-to-hand and Earth fighting styles, of which serve him well but the moves are erratic, random, and done off instinct. Thus, this young mech needs some serious formal training to whip him into shape and if he were to get it could prove to be considerably formidable close quarters fighter.
Minimal Distance Fighting: Skystalker's distance fighting is also much to be desired. Quite frankly, he's better for a shorter distance then far away as his Cyrostrike Disc Launchers and Cryo Breath are his only real weapons from afar and he finds them more effective when he is decently close to his enemy.
Semi-Light Armor: Though he has some bulk that gives him fairly decent durability, Skystalker does have some parts of his armor which are not covered at all or are weaker in comparison, which is usually around the joints, his abdomen, lower arms, lower legs, and, as mentioned above, his wings.
Abilities:
Cryo Breath: In dragon mode, Skystalker can generate an icy, cold energy breath attack that is visibly a dark to light blue color which he can fire towards an enemy. This freezes the armor or object covered in ice and when shattered leaves them brittle and weak, allowing him to go in for a more effective strike or one of his allies to make the final blow.
Enhanced Olfactory/Optic Sensors: Due to his dragon form, Skystalker has greater senses than most other Cybertronians in terms of sight and smell. He is capable of tracking a specific energon scent of a Cybertronian or a specific scent of a being so long as he has smelled it before and is capable of tracking this within several yards and days old. His sight is also enhanced to being able to see in the infrared spectrum and telescopic sight.
Weaponry:
Dragon Mode Weapons: In his dragon form, Skystalker can make use of his sharp horns, claws, and fangs to tear into the armor of his enemies. His tail and wings can be used for bashing purposes and are capable of knocking some off their feet, although he tends to favor using his tail or headbutting bots with his head/horns.
Back Hand Claws: In robot mode, Skystalker's dragon mode front claws remain, being able to be deployed to cover over his fingers and be used to stab and slice into enemies. These are capable though of being folded back parallel to the back of his hand for safety concerns and to make use of his fists.
Tail mace: Skystalker's tail remains in robot mode but he can detach it to create a mace with a flexible base. By holding a handle on one end of the tail the segments each have a spike along it to the circular top of the tail, which is round, thick, and bares several smaller spikes to not only be used as a blunt weapon to make a dent in armor but also use the spikes to tear into his enemy's armor as well.
Cryostrike Disc Launchers: Undoubtedly one of Skystalker's most volatile and dangerous weapons, these discs rest within a space at the edge of each wing and are deployed by folding his wings forward in either mode with enough force to cause them knock someone over and ricochet at certain angles. But what makes them the most deadly is that deployment is silent and the discs have two modes: one of which is so cold it leaves armor extremely brittle and breaks or so hot it can cause armor to begin melting, both triggered by explosion on contact but with sensors that allow Skystalker to call them back through remote commands.
History:
(History taken inspiration from his Tales of the Beast Hunters appearance and hinted creation in episode "Evolution")
The original Skystalker was once a mighty Predacon that roamed ancient Cybertron before the Great Cataclysm occurred and brought an end to the reign of the Cybertronian dragons. However, he or she's legacy would live on in their CNA of which was discovered by the Decepticon scientist, Shockwave, among countless others. The legacy resulted in the creation of the current Skystalker, artificially grown in a Hyperevolution Chamber within one of Shockwave's labs, in particular the one he would set up on Earth in a very different universe than that of the current timeline or that of the original Prime continuity.
While in the last stages of his "birth", Skystalker would now and again faintly hear Shockwave and the occasional other Decepticon, though he remained in his chamber until the arrival of Smokescreen, sent to find the Predacon cloning facility where Skystalker was made, pulled Shockwave into a fierce battle. Unfortunately, the sound of combat awoke Skystalker from his chamber, observing the battle at first but squashing the part of him that wanted to join in and instead exploring and examining his surroundings. Unfortunately, the recalling of his occasional awareness of his surroundings in the chamber and becoming more aware of his purpose and origin, triggered his more feral, primitive instincts to kick in. In his rage, Skystalker deployed his discs for the first time along with rampaging through the lab, his focus on both his creator and Smokescreen that triggered the lab to explode and Skystalker only remembering smoke and fire.
After that, everything went blank for the young Predacon as he soon awoke to find himself in the middle of the Sahara Desert, unknowingly being pulled into a much different timeline and universe. Confused and unsure of what happened, he began a month-long journey from the desert to parts unknown to him at the time. He came across a traveling caravan in his first week, startling the humans in it when he sought to seek some help but he was just as startled by their reaction as they were of his appearance, causing him to take off rather than take another chance. But this experience caused him to become a tad more careful around the unusual creatures he encountered, deciding it was better to watch from afar and learn about this strange world.
But after a month, Skystalker found himself weakened from the lack of energon and eventually collapsed on the beaches of India where his signal was detected and he was recovered by the Autobots. After being treated for some wounds he had had since arriving and given proper nourishment, the Predacon began to come around and at first panicked, worried about having been recaptured by the one who had created him until realization and a little bit of coaxing calmed him down. Once he was certain the Autobots were of no harm, Skystalker explained to them of his creation and only able to tell them bits and pieces of what he knew, the only identifying thing being Shockwave and the conclusion coming down to that somehow Skystalker may have been tossed away via space bridge or was left to die by the Decepticons after he blacked out. Regardless of what happened, Skystalker declared his allegiance to the Autobots from then on.
Since then, Skystalker has been among their ranks for a few months, still barely able to recall entirely what had been going on at the time and has spent much of his free time learning more about Earth and Cybertronian culture. And with the recent lapses with the time stream he occasionally feels he recalls certain bots by their voice and one or two by sight but it's usually just a deja vu feeling.
