Player Alias: Leighlei
Character Name: Rivet
Allegiance: Autobots
Appearance Description
Rivet is tiny- large for his young age- but still tiny when compared to the fully grown Cybertronians. Rivet is barely into his first stage of development as a sparkling, so he doesn't have anything more than a few pieces of color here and there and very few full formed panels. From what's able to be seen, he's a cerulean blue, white, and a grass green. He has small wing panels on his arms that have not fully developed into his wings so he can't do much with them except flick them when going through different types of emotions. He has a tiny chevron on his forehelm like Ratchet, though the wings of his extend backwards over his helm.
Personality
As of now there's not much about his personality that's set in stone as he's ever changing with age, but at least he seems to have a spark of gold who's just scared of the dark.
... and hopefully he doesn't have the temperament of his carrier.
Strengths + Weaknesses
Good to a point, it also is an issue that leads Rivet to a lot of frustration. If he can't come up with an answer he will fuss about it until it comes to him and will stay focused on it until he finds one- no matter how long it takes him. He would argue that if he can't find one that there just isn't one there, but he's far too young to come to that conclusion yet.
Having not experienced this war that everyone else has endured for so long, Rivet doesn't understand the evil that is out there in the world. Everyone he runs across he assumes is his friend or an ally so he'd be the one to go wandering off with Megatron and not know any better. It doesn't help that 'learning your enemies' is knowledge that has not passed down to him from his carrier. Getting him to pay attention to that lesson is just as difficult. He could also be easily convinced into doing something he's not yet aware is 'bad' and could end up getting him into serious trouble.
He's small so that makes him a lot more agile than his fully grown Cybertronian counterparts, but once he's caught there's little he can do in the way of defending himself. To do so would mean they'd have to be able to maneuver into the smallest of places to reach him- a task that even Ratchet and Wheeljack find impossible when he really doesn't want a bath.
Being cautious of dark places isn't always bad, though. It means that the monsters won't get you and no one can get you where you can't see them.
Abilities
Rivet doesn't have any abilities as of yet but will gain some as he grows.
Weaponry
- Toy tool set
Thanks, Ratchet. He's now turning into a mini-you with the tossing of the tools.
- Stuffie
It's a stuffed animal. Not much in the way of a weapon, but if it hits someone in the optic directly with enough force it can actually be really irritating.
- Pedes and Servos
Go ahead and let a tiny servo or pede nail you in the ball bearings and see if you don't think of them as a legitimate weapon next time.
History
Rivet doesn't have a dramatic story of early life that's anything worth a campfire tale. He doesn't even really know much about his creation except that he was 'created for his carrier' and waited a long time for them to come. He believes that carrier to be Ratchet and doesn't know the truth behind his early life nor how close he came to no longer functioning even before his life could begin.
Sometime after being created, the ship that transported him and the other created sparklings somehow was destroyed and his pod ended up floating around as space debris. After it was pulled into the gravitational pull of Earth's atmosphere, the pod he was in collided with Earth's surface and was buried for who really knew how long- Rivet doesn't know, he was in stasis as a newspark. With Ratchet's console picking up the final burst of power from the ship that ended up being the last of the supply that kept him alive, Rivet was found just in time and Ratchet took him in to raise him as he and Wheeljack's own.

Personality
{ Innocent Curiosity }
Rivet is very curious about the world around him and is constantly wanting to learn about things. From his perspective, it's a very large place with lots of things to explore. He's always asking questions about what different things are and how they work and is fascinated with taking things apart and putting them back together. He never likes to sit in one place and is always wanting to wander and explore his surroundings, sometimes even leading him to places and getting into things that he probably should steer away from. { Spark of Gold }
Sparklings are usually showered with gifts from others, but Rivet is not one of those who has several things that he plays with. He has a couple of things he keeps close while the rest are shared with his sister or are handed out to others around base who he deems 'in need of a gift'. He's always looking to help where he can and though limited by his age and size with how far he can assist, he still is determined to at least try. Even as young as he is he puts the feelings and needs of others before his own.As of now there's not much about his personality that's set in stone as he's ever changing with age, but at least he seems to have a spark of gold who's just scared of the dark.
... and hopefully he doesn't have the temperament of his carrier.
Strengths + Weaknesses
{ Smarts To Spare }
When it comes to smarts, Rivet has it beyond what should be normal to one of his age. He is able to work out complicated formulas and come up with answers with very little assistance. While limited to how much he can process as a sparkling, he is always pushing that limit and asking to be taught far more than what he needs and is constantly asking for more datapads to expand that knowledge on his own. This will only become more developed as he ages.Good to a point, it also is an issue that leads Rivet to a lot of frustration. If he can't come up with an answer he will fuss about it until it comes to him and will stay focused on it until he finds one- no matter how long it takes him. He would argue that if he can't find one that there just isn't one there, but he's far too young to come to that conclusion yet.
{ The Good In Others and Naivety }
Perhaps just due to his tender age, Rivet is always looking to find the good in others. He doesn't judge others for things others would call defects and believes that no matter what someone has done there is still good in them somewhere. While this keeps him positive, it can also be something that can be dangerous.Having not experienced this war that everyone else has endured for so long, Rivet doesn't understand the evil that is out there in the world.
{ Sparkling }
Being a sparkling means that there isn't much defense there. If an adult isn't careful where they're stepping? They could easily severely harm or even offline the fragile sparkling.He's small so that makes him a lot more agile than his fully grown Cybertronian counterparts, but once he's caught there's little he can do in the way of defending himself. To do so would mean they'd have to be able to maneuver into the smallest of places to reach him- a task that even Ratchet and Wheeljack find impossible when he really doesn't want a bath.
{ Afraid of the Dark }
If you've never met a Cybertronian afraid of the dark, look no further than here. Rivet has a paralyzing fear of it, where he would go as far as dumping his fuel tanks and crying for hours. This could be from his experiences of early life with being alone in the dark for as long as he was. Whatever it is, it's crippling enough to stop him dead in his tracks. As a sparkling it's not such a terrible thing as he usually has someone around him and there's usually a light on ( or a nightlight that Ratchet keeps on all the time ) but it could prove to make things complicated later on in life if he doesn't develop out of it.Being cautious of dark places isn't always bad, though. It means that the monsters won't get you and no one can get you where you can't see them.
