Characters:Sari Sumdac, @miko, Open to all Autobots and human allies Location: Autobot Outpost Omega-1 Content Warnings: N/A Plot Summary: Curious as to what the other Autobot Base looks like, Sari manages to get the ground bridge working at Crown City in order to explore the Autobot base in Jasper. What sort of trouble will she get into while she is there?
Sari had often heard tales of there being another Autobot base somewhere in Nevada, but she didn't know much about it honestly. Maybe it was a secrecy thing in order to help protect the Autobots there, but it only made her that much more curious. If there were more Autobots out there, she sure as heck wanted to meet them! And besides, maybe they had some more human friends that she could make friends with. Long distance friendships could be fun~.
But were they really long distance when both bases could easily access the other with a simple ground bridge?
When no one else was looking, the teenager made her way to the crashed portion of the Alchemor, investigating the control console with a sly smile. It couldn't be that hard to work a ground bridge.. right? She started with the press of a few buttons, but couldn't get the result she wanted. The girl pouted, letting her hands rest on the console. She didn't pay much attention to her next actions, but it was almost as if her fingers knew what they were doing. They moved as if she were simply typing away at a keyboard.. but something was different. They appeared robotic, but Sari wasn't looking. She hadn't even noticed the change, especially when the ground bridge fired up as she had hoped. "YES! I mean... yes."
Her hands returned to normal, as if nothing strange had ever occurred to begin with. Bounding with joy, Sari raced for the ground bridge, rushing through and into..
...what kind of place even was this, anyway?
It seemed more like some kind of military bunker than a base, but then again she did spend a lot of time at a base that doubled as a scrapyard and some kind of nostalgia fest.
Russell himself had been cleaning up bits of the scrapyard when he heard a strange typing noise. What he had seen, however, was a familiar face. He had to put away the things he had been carrying after a mechanic had come around asking for a various few parts for several cars including an Urbana 500. Why the hell did he need an Urbana's parts anyway.
"Wait!" He bellowed.
However, she was gone through the green swirl. Russell himself gave a stern look, suddenly rushing through after throwing a few engine parts to the side. He then looked around at where it led to, confused. This wasn't a forest or a city. This was some strange bunker. Oh man, his dad was going to FREAK.
In a hidden corner, near some stairs, quick and deft digits were hunting, pecking, typing away at various things. It seemed that Stepper had been solving some sort of cipher puzzle, but no, that wasn't it at all. Instead, he had something else up on the screen of his datapad and his optics were intensely focused on...was that the search bar for a video site?
It certainly was and he had been looking for something. It wasn't the delightful videos of the Earth felines, and it didn't appear to be humans playing Earth video games while shouting at the games and shouting in general. No, instead it seemed to be that he was looking for--wait, was that a cartoon?
It was indeed a cartoon, with people piloting giant robots into battle. When the main character was saying a line, he couldn't help but say it along with the main character. "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power. Its burning grip is telling me to defeat you. Take this: my love, my anger, and all of my sorrow! SHINING FINGER!"
However, the sound of voices interrupted him from his reverie. He yelped and looked around, his optics setting on two humans--a red-haired girl in a yellow dress, and a brown-haired boy in a blue jacket and jeans. What were they doing here?
"Um, not that it's my place to ask but...what're you doing here?"
Sitting on the couch sitting atop part of the metal scaffolding, Miko stared at the TV, controller in her hands, fingers a blur. She was practicing for the next round. The showdown. The tournament. Whatever. Jack and Raf would be eating her dust! Ha! However, she heard someone and something familiar from around the way.
Oh! She knew what that was from!
“Together with the oath sworn through courage!” Miko shouted, dropping the controller and leaping up onto the couch all at once. “Heaven and,” Miko laced her fingers together and leapt punching her clasped fingers forward, “HELL!” So cheesy. So lame. She loved it.
Immediately bouncing over to the railing, Miko spotted Stepper. “I didn’t know you watched that stuff, Stepper! I-“ Miko stopped as she saw that they were not alone. Well, they weren’t usually alone but. Two other humans! That weren’t Jack or Raf! And one of them was a girl. Huh, they had come through the ground bridge. Maybe they were from that other Autobot base that Bulkhead hadn’t bothered to take her to yet.
“Hey!” she called out to them, “Who’re you?”
Before they could answer, Miko was already scurrying down the scaffolding, sliding down some of the railing to ground level, running up to greet them.
The sound of Bulkhead's engine preceded him, rumbling down the drive and into the main chamber of the silo with gusto. The green SUV growled to a stop just as he rounded the corner of the entrance way and with a flurry of folding and unfolding parts he stood up in root form.
"Miko!" he called joyously into the room. He hadn't picked her up from school today and he was eager to catch up.
But with a blink he registered that his little buddy was currently standing near the ground bridge with two humans he'd only ever seen in photos included with reports from Bumblebee.
"Heyyy..." he intoned, walking forward. He was going for 'welcoming' but also 'gently admonishing.' He couldn't help but be slightly amused, though. From the look on the smallest one's face, he was surprised to be here. So, having had personal experience with humans who liked leaping into the unknown a little too much he was willing to bet this was some kind of ground bridge hijacking situation via inquisitive human ally. It was probably the one with the bright pinkish red hair, he was willing to bet. "Does Bumblebee know you two are here?"
The humming of the space bridge activating did not go unnoticed completely in the Scrapyard. Someone had been training nearby with her turbine cannons, trying to keep her skills sharp and that meant several hours of training at a time for someone like Windblade. She had to be on her toes and ready to act on a moments notice, whether the Camien flier was just waiting for something to happen there or when she was traveling the globe alone.
Though, the activation of the space bridge had caught Windblade's attention. Was someone returning from a mission? Or were they going on one? Curious, the black and red flier made her way to where the crashed part of the Alchemor always lied, serving as the console and part of the controls for everything in the Scrapyard base. What she didn't expect was to see their human allies charging through, the one known as Sari disappearing first followed by the younger human called Russell. It took a moment for the shock of this inquisitive act to register what trouble this could bring. "Scrap." Windblade muttered, concerned of where the the humans could be going since the ground bridge could practically reach anywhere in the world.
Concerned, Windblade quickly came to the console for the larger members of the team, checking the coordinates to be certain it wasn't a random hijacking. Though much to her relief it was set towards the other Autobot Base, bringing some less concern than before but she did wonder if it was wise to leave the young humans going alone. After a moment of contemplation, Windblade decided it was better she went along, just to be sure the two didn't get into a ton of trouble. And well, she couldn't deny she too was curious about the other Autobot base since she herself had never been there. "Sure it wouldn't hurt to take a field trip." Windblade decided aloud, pressing a button to activate the bridge once more before she ran through the green swirling vortex of energy.
Once she was through, Windblade found herself in what appeared to be a bunker, appearing a few feet behind the two humans who already had drawn some attention. Nothing like being fashionably late. "The only one from the Scrapyard that knows they're here is myself." Windblade spoke, stepping forward slightly from the tunnel, giving it a curious glance before turning her cerulean optics to Stepper, Bulkhead, and Miko. "Then again, I can't help sharing their enthusiasm in coming here." She admitted with a wide smile, resting her left hand on her hip while letting her right arm hang loosely at her side, finding herself unable to hold back her young enthusiasm now. A little curiosity for a field trip couldn't hurt surely?
Sari looked sheepishly to Russell as she noticed that he had followed her through the ground bridge. She certainly hadn't expected it, but this could be a fun experience for him, too. He'd been cooped up at his dad's place for how long now? He could make some new friends and explore new places~!
She looked up in amazement as she saw a couple of Autobots, and even another human girl. They certainly seemed to be having fun. However, they were quick to notice the girl and boy that clearly did not belong at their base.
"Hi~! I'm Sari. And this is Russell. We're from the Autobot base in Crown City, and well.. we got bored?" The red-head chuckled nervously, smiling all the while as the girl approached them. "I mean.. I heard so much about the other Autobot base and I wanted to check it out." She turned her attention to the two Autobots as well, but her eyes focused more on the larger, green one. Something.. felt familiar about him. Bulkhead. Why did she feel so sure that that was his name..? "I, um.. I don't think Bumblebee knows."
And then someone else arrived.
"Eep!" She jumped as Windblade's voice came from behind them. She turned to look at the femme, a nervous smile forming on her face.
"H-Hi, Windblade~."
