Player Alias: cbbartman
Character Name: Lockdown
Allegiance: Decepticon/Neutral
Appearance Description: Lockdown has a very unique design, one that is not seen on both Autobot or Decepticon, his body is a built yet slim design with many upgrades and modifications made to make him the most efficient hunter. His helm resembles more human than most other Cybertronians with many different combinations of gears that allow Lockdown to show much more emotion in his face, his optics are bright green as well as the bio mask that covers his face. His frame is pitch black with a distinctive unique feature that allows weapons to form from his body, such as his trusty sniper rifle that, when being used, covers the entirely of his face.
Personality:
Lockdown is a very intelligent Cybertronian, and he does not hide that fact away, having an advanced knowledge in both Cybertronian biology and weaponary he can truly be a deadly hunter, but also a very resourceful ally. Greed has corrupted Lockdown, becoming a hired gun across the universe to hunt the most dangerous fugitives, criminals, leaders and even beasts of a forgotten era. This greed can be won over but not permanently, he prefers to work on a contract base alliance, meaning that he will be loyal to his mission, not the cause, until it is complete then he shall return to his own business.
Ruthless and soulless, the bounty hunter does not care who he is hunting may they be a threat or even be harmless, Lockdown executes all contracts given with extreme precision until eliminating his prey. For the most part, the only emotion seen in Lockdown is a hardened veteran, he rarely has any socialisation with those that are paying him. Some would consider the bounty hunter to be a disgrace to Cybertronians, when really, he sees things much differently, he sees himself as above the children that chose sides in a petty war over who gets the toy box.
Strengths/Weaponry + Weaknesses:
Strengths:
Armed to the Teeth: Lockdown had a vast collection of weaponry from both ancient history and present day, from blasters to broadswords, to small knives that can become small blasters themselves, flak grenades to small remote missile launchers, he comes prepared to almost any given situation. Lockdown never turns up to a fight with the same set of weaponry, he constantly changes to ensure that every encounter is more of a challenge than the last.
Combat experience: Other than being programmed to be an assassin, Lockdown has been rewarded with illegal downloads to various fighting styles he could remotely learn. Added to his cycles of hunting down his targets and combatting all kinds of Cybertronian creatures, truly making him a big threat.
Sniper Rifle: A sniper rifle can retract from his chest piece to extend out of his face creating a head cannon of sorts, this sniper can pierce through any Cybertronian metal to be used to devastating effects.
Hook: Probably Lockdown’s most iconic weapon Lockdown uses; this hook can form itself from his left hand which he can use to turn the tide in battle with his unique fighting style, or scale cliffs to reach higher vantage points or escape when he is cornered.
Weaknesses:
Sniper Rifle: Although its power is unmatchable, the sniper itself is very difficult to lead to the right moment, it needs to first extend from his chest to be pointing out of his helm at quite the distance making it obvious to when he is about to shoot. Furthermore, it can only carry one bullet before having to reload which requires the weapon to once again retract back inside his chest for Lockdown to add one of 6 bullets back into it. To add to this downfall, Lockdown has very limited visuals when using his sniper rifle, his face is mainly focused on the aiming, for opponents that are slow and big in size this is not problem, but for much more smaller bots, it is near to useless unless caught from a surprise attack.
Stubborn hunter: Countless victims fall to Lockdown making him a dangerous adversary, but he also knows it as well, his arrogance in success can easily take control of his actions, believing he has already won a battle despite never facing some foes.
Playing around with food: Despite his skills, Lockdown tends to play around with whoever he may be hunting, instead of finishing his job with a quick efficient kill, Lockdown savours every moment of pain he can issue before going in for the kill. This can leave him exposed, sometimes underestimating his prey that can easily lead to his downfall.
Battle damaged: It has been thousands of cycles since Lockdown could repair himself properly, his ship does not contain a medical facility and considering the many foes he has faced, his body is not as athletic as it once was in the civil war. This results with his joints in a slowly rusting state. Furthermore, his servos are not as fluent as he would like them to be, this does not concern him in a one-on-one confrontation, but his speed is drastically decreased, even to a point where he cannot run.
Abilities:
Beast master: Lockdown has managed to manipulate the more primitive beings of Cybetrtron to follow his leadership. This hunting hounds stand around 3 meters tall, their frame is very resembling to the common Hyena on Earth, yet no direct link has been found so far to bring to that conclusion. Lockdown has managed to heed 2 of these hounds to his will, helping him in his hunts for prey.
These Hyenas are armed with razor sharp claws and rows of steel teeth that can tear through metal, they also come with immense speed capable of reaching speeds of around 60 miles per hour at terminal velocity, however when they’re speed and quick strikes are impressive, their physical strength and endurance his laughable, they will only engage prey that is defenceless or unaware, they will never run head on to a Cybertronian, a sort of dominance is needed to insert these hounds to Lockdown’s will causing them to never confront prey face to face unless Lockdown is there with them.
History:
Unlike standard Cybertronians, being forged in the works of Vector Sigma, Lockdown did not come to life until the Golden Age. He was constructed illegally in Kaon to fit his purpose under the leadership of a black-market dealer, Lockdown was created to do as his name suggests, his prime directive became protecting the trade routes that connected the illegal markets by eliminating loose ends, taking on authorities and many more in that line of work. He proved to be most efficient in this field to a point where he became the personal assassin for the black market. Through the long cycles that unfolded, Lockdown became more than successful in protecting the interests of his market, until he began developing his own motives, his own desires.
In his master’s weakness Lockdown struck, killing the black-market trader destroying all traces of his work, contacts, identities and even authorities that had an incomplete case file of his works and eventually removing all traces of his existence. From then he worked in the shadows, becoming a hired assassin in reward for new upgrades to his already evolving frame, this involved weaponry, new gadgets, fighting styles to take for his own, with every target he eliminated, the more criminals paid the bounty hunter for their own needs to push themselves further up the hierarchy in the criminal world, only for Lockdown to be paid by another party to end their rein, keeping balance.
Business only began sky rocketing when Megatron brought way to the Decepticons, coming with the civil war that lasted almost an entity. Residing in Kaon, Lockdown sought the perfect opportunity to take contracts from the Decepticons in many ways, information, assassination, interrogation, kidnapping, his methods always lead to success becoming a reliable ally to Megatron, however he never intended on joining the cause. He saw the war to be pointless, like children fighting each over something so insignificant that it did not even matter, despite this mind set, he wanted to use his contractors to continue evolving himself.
Once the Ark finally took off to find a new home for the Autobots, Lockdown remained on the planet, sweeping up what was left of both sides the best he could seeing how much destruction either side had caused to the planet, he believed in balance, and if that meant to eliminate both sides then he would take any precaution necessary to bring that vision to life.
In search for any other Cybertronians across the stars, he continued his work aboard his newly gifted ship that once belonged to a former authorities’ figure, designed for capturing and holding criminals in the three cell chambers.
(This will become a grounded base once landing on Earth incapacitated upon entry)
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
“There you are…”
Lockdown emerged from a nearby brush, his head concealed behind a bio mask, monitoring the current area, threats; minimal, target; present everything began moving into motion. Fear became evermore present as Lockdown watched the foolish little bot run for his life, underneath the bio mask a small smirk appeared on his face, the hounds did their task well, as always. Finally, as the prey thought it was in a spot of safety, Lockdown revealed himself from the brush, his optics focused upon the single target, his bio mask swiftly converted itself, a massive gun extended from his chest, transforming its way out from his helm, once all gears were locked in place he open fires, the bullet pierced straight through the central spark chamber, almost crushing the spark itself sending the bot crashing to the ground. Another successful hit.
Seeing his target is now vulnerable near death it was time to make his introduction, his full body appeared into the open, the black sleek design made him look like a shadow manifesting into a being, his illuminated bio mask being the only source of light as he stalks towards the injured bot.
“How pathetic, joining a cause that would ultimately have your death sentence all written up for you.” An eerie, rough metallic voice boomed out, kneeling before the crippled Cybertronian. “I would spare your life, but someone has paid me a pretty price for your death…”. Slowly, calmly his arm began transforming itself into a Spark extractor, the bot terrified for his life tried to crawl away, but there was no mercy here. He violently plunges it into his spark chamber gripping a hold of his spark, minor gears and spare parts flying everywhere before finally ripping the spark from the very chest of the bot. Slowly, he strolled away, did he really consider setting him free? Of course, he wouldn’t, he would much rather see this bot be melted alive than allowing to receive such a quick, painless death.
