something is wrong with me for thinking something is right with you
It couldn't believe where it was. It couldn't believe the dark walls that surrounded it.. But it could believe the fear of the poor few who would be sharing bunks with Taciturn. The word had passed around rapidly, a ex-Autobot assassin was part of the crew, and was identified as exactly to which kind it was.. The elite. The ones that never gave you a moment to even think you might have company. It had never questioned orders, and never failed.
They gave Taciturn space, and Taciturn being who it was, didn't work towards continuing to intimidate them. It didn't take any steps out of the way towards them, or jump at them. There had never been a show of weapons or abilities, which made it look as if it was harmless. It preferred for them to grow comfortable around it.. Once they had, it would make killing them off much easier, if commanded to do so.
However, what it was commanded to do was read this datapad containing a new script that was foreign to Taciturn. Towards Peace. It had been placed upon it's berth along with a note to peruse it, and peruse it Taciturn did. It had read the work several times since receiving it, and had not shown a bit of emotion towards what it truly felt about the work.. At least on the outside. On the inside, it felt excited? It took that emotion down as something look into more at a later date.
The others had stared at Taciturn curiously as it reviewed the subject material repeatedly, only to cower when it looked up at them. Eventually, Taciturn grew tired of being stared at, and subspaced the datapad, going to leave. The door opened, and almost as soon as it had left, Taciturn heard them start talking about it just until the door closed off and left the seeker in silence.
The halls stretched long before it, and Taciturn wondered as to whether or not map out it's new home alone or wait for another to show it around. Preferably one who would not be frightened of it. Cyclonus certainly hadn't been, or he hadn't shown it if he was. However, it had no need to ponder much more as a rather large bot, perhaps a mech if the design was anything to go by, passing him by.. So, Taciturn strode forward, yellow optics unblinking and face impassive. Whoever it was, hopefully was either coming to meet Taciturn or could help it..
Perhaps with more than just guiding it through the ship. It needed someone to guide it through it's new beliefs, a bot who could make this strange grey world into the black and white universe Taciturn strode for. Hopefully..

Many, when they saw him, kept a respectable distance so as not to attract his gaze. As a result, Tarn’s walks along the halls of the Nemesis were often quite quiet and solitary. Today, however, Tarn sought company. The mechanoid that he’d had in mind had not been in their quarters, so Tarn had been roving the halls while working away on his datapad.
As he noted the presence of one in front of him who did not shy away from him, Tarn’s crimson optics flicked up to gaze upon Taciturn. He stopped, lifting his head to look at the newest addition to the Decepticon cause.
“Ah, there you are,” Tarn’s deep, sensuous voice purred with its usual pleasant warmth, “Taciturn, correct? I’ve been looking for you.”
Lowering the datapad down to his side, Tarn gestured for Taciturn to take a place beside him. “Walk with me, won’t you?”
Turning to walk back in the direction from which he’d come, Tarn cast his crimson gaze down upon Taciturn. “I trust you received my welcome present. What did you think of it?”

It looked at the other bot, and he was right in guessing it was a mech. The deep voice gave it away immediately, a fairly appealing noise, if Taciturn was honest. "Yes, I am..." It replied solemnly, watching the other with unblinking, yellow eyes. The other had been looking for it? Why? Perhaps, only to test it.. To ensure it's loyalty.
Taciturn nodded and easily fell into step alongside the other, gazing up at him from time to time. Ah, so this was the mysterious being who bestowed such knowledge upon it.. And it was a gift, not a command. Now this was growing very interesting. Perhaps it would be best to keep the datapad in a much safer place, for Taciturn held on tightly to what few gifts it ever had.
"I have read it several times already, and enjoyed it greatly. I am.. Disappointed that there wasn't anything more.. Perhaps some other things similar to it." But let it not be said that Taciturn was ungrateful. "However, I am glad that you deemed it suitable to present me with it, I appreciate it greatly."
It hummed, eyes turning forward as it pondered it's next words. "Could you perhaps.. Enlighten me upon what the Decepticon cause is truly about? Amongst the Autobots, I was never quite sure.. There were too many conflicting ideals for there to ever be anything for me to make sense of." It paused, trying to find the words to say, to explain itself. "My truest desire is to have a constant and unwavering purpose. "

“That’s wonderful!” Tarn exclaimed, quite pleased with Taciturn’s assessment of perhaps the most read piece of literature in his collection. “There is more. Perhaps I shall show you Lord Megatron’s other works at some other time,” he offered pleasantly. At Taciturn’s thanks, Tarn merely nodded.
Towards Peace was indeed a gift to every Decepticon, though some, unfortunately, were not quite as appreciative of the literary works of Megatron.
As Taciturn uttered its next request, Tarn considered it with flickering crimson optics. Ah, it made such sense now. Turning his gaze forward, Tarn lifted a clawed actuator. “You are being deceived,” he uttered quietly. He looked to Taciturn with solemn optics, resting a hand lightly on its shoulder.
“How often those words come to mind,” he said, shaking his head. “Of course, I will be delighted to enlighten you.”
“The Decepticons seek equality for all via peace through tyranny. A new system. A new way of going about matters. The Autobots seek to preserve the old ways, a regime built on corruption and deception, led by Primes. It is as simple as that.”
Tarn tilted his head slightly to consider Taciturn and extended a hand. “Will you join with the Decepticons in our unwavering purpose?”
something is wrong with me for thinking something is right with you
Taciturn was surprised slightly by it's company's reaction. He was happy that Taciturn had taken interest in Megatron's works. If it was capable of smiling at the mech, it would have, but sadly, it's faceplate was pulled so tight that it could do little more than talk. It attempted to pull up the corners of it's lips in the semblance of a smile. The fools who raised it from the dead didn't consider rigor mortis, and Taciturn paid for it.
"I would greatly appreciate that." it responded calmly, before going into what bothered it most about the Autobots and why it had left.. And what it desired so much. A constant, stead purpose in it's life, and it seemed that Tarn might be able to provide that. However, Tarn's servo on it's shoulder made the entire seeker's body tense, it had rarely ever been touched, and those who normally did, died. Immediately. However, Taciturn bore through the anxiety the touch caused it with little expression.
Taciturn's EM field spiked with a wild anger when Tarn spoke of the Autobot's goal. "I have indeed, been deceived." it murmured, looking down at the ground. When it gazed back up at Tarn, the other was offering his hand, asking if he would join the Decepticon cause. A steady, unwavering cause.
"Yes, and I will serve without hesitation or question." it stated calmly, slipping a slender servo into the offered hand. "I will do whatever that is you desire me to." Which was true. In all it's years, it had never questioned a command and never hesitated in it's line of work. If one was ever on the receiving end of it's mission, one would find no mercy or qualms. Taciturn had no room for such thoughts, and had always been sent on missions for that purpose. No mercy. No question. No qualms.
"Tell me what you want me to be. Tell me what to believe."

“Delightful,” Tarn purred, gently clasping Taciturn’s hand with both of his hands. However, what Taciturn said next gave him pause. But only for a moment. Looking down at Taciturn with warm optics and with a rich, deep voice, Tarn told him, “Be a blade for the Decepticons. Believe in the cause, in me, and in our lord, Megatron. Do this, and when you feel that you are lost, come to me. I will strip away deception. This I promise you.”
He released Taciturn’s hand in the next moment. This new recruit was in a most tender formative stage. What would be the next best step to take…
“Ah.”
Tarn looked to Taciturn. “Now that you know your purpose, I suppose I should instruct you on a few matters. The first of which is the layout of the Nemesis. How familiar with it are you?”
something is wrong with me for thinking something is right with you
To sat Taciturn was startled when Tarn took it's hand within both of his own would be the understatement of the century. It stared up at him with grey-yellow optics, listening intently to what Tarn had to say. A purpose, a belief.. A steady hand to guide it.
As Tarn spoke, Taciturn found it's own hand reaching out, as if it wished to touch just the edge of Tarn's mask. Surely it was dreaming.. It couldn't be possible that one mech could bestow upon it the very thing it had been searching for ever since it came online. "I will be whatever I need to be, and I will believe in this cause, in Lord Megatron, and in what you say.." It paused, locking it's optics with Tarn's and giving him a soft, grey-yellow gaze. "I feel as if you may have to clear my mind more than once in the duration of my life upon this ship." The seeker nearly got it's hand up oh so high for it's fingers to trace the very edge of Tarn's mask, when Tarn let it's hand go.
Of course, it retracted it's hand back, but not embarrassingly fast or abrupt. Actually, it was rather slowly and almost in a way it seemed Taciturn was disappointed. It didn't care that it had possibly made things awkward for Tarn, for to it, it had found nothing to be awkward about. Then again Taciturn did not have the best social skills, but...
"I only know the way in from the flight deck, past the medical bay, and to my quarters." it responded politely, eyes finally diverting away from Tarn's. It gazed down the halls, face as emotionless as ever, but mind wandering. "I would like to know more."
