Player Alias: cataclysmicseraph
Character Name: Peripheral
Allegiance: Autobot
Appearance Description:
Peripheral is a fairly thin and lanky mech, while at the same time not being exceptionally tall-- this isn't helped by the fact that he's often seen slouching. On his red helm he has a white three-pronged crest, resembling a slightly curved chevron with a tall rhombus in the middle, and antennae on his audials. He has a single set of large back-mounted wings, white with teal tips. His arms and legs are white, with teal hands and pedes. His chestplating is red with white in the center. On his shoulders he has large white vents with teal slats, and he is very noisy with these. He wears a large, round pair of glasses.
His alt mode is a medjet, specifically a Hawker 800 medical jet.
Personality:
Being a relatively young med student, Peripheral can sometimes have a bit of an attitude. He does mean well and genuinely enjoys helping patients, though he can be stern if patients aren't following instructions. He is very energetic to the point of restlessness, and has a lot of nervous tension. A little volatile, sometimes Peripheral will flare up and cool down before anyone has a chance to realize just what set him off. However, Peripheral is quite loyal and will defend his morals fiercely, and his friends fiercer still. He doesn't have much confidence in his abilities, so he tries extremely hard to prove to others and himself that he's capable. He can sometimes be a little bit naive because of his youth, as he tries to see the best in others.
Peripheral is not musically or artistically inclined by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't prevent him from enjoying trying to do both of those things. He deeply enjoys reading in his downtime-- what little he has of it. Quite a sociable mech by nature, sometimes Peripheral will find himself joking with others, but can easily say the wrong thing and put them off.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Abilities:
Weaponry:
None proper, though he can be dangerous with the right medical tools.
History:
A young Cold Construct, Peripheral has a certain... problem. A memory problem, to be precise, though he swears it's not as bad as it seems. He can remember some things, after all! He knows he was created in Iacon, for example, and that not long after his creation he left his home to study medicine. From there, it gets... a little hazy. The events of his life up after that point are a mostly vague blur, with some parts cut out entirely. He can remember large things, like his name, where he's originally from, the war, and most of his medical training. But smaller details have been lost to the flow of time. Or perhaps it's not quite so simple...
He believes something is happening to make him forget his past, but he can't even figure that out. What he does know, however, is that he's a med student, he's lost, and that his own health is, for some reason, currently slightly subpar. With little idea of where he's been and less of an idea where he's going, Peripheral has been wandering, trying to make new memories. In fact, he'd prefer not to think about the past entirely, and focus more on rebuilding himself from the ground up.
Roleplay/Writing Sample:
A sharp sigh cut through the air, but it didn't do much to cleave the loneliness that felt so heavy on Peripheral's shoulders. His mind felt foggy and blank-- he couldn't remember how he'd gotten to where he was. Or even where this was, only that it was bitter cold. Something was pushing him onward, a nagging little voice constantly in his audials, but there was a problem. In his disorientation, he could no longer recall his destination. Snow stretched in all directions, broken up only by vague shapes and murky colors. Wind whipped and stung his optics, which were almost shut with how much he was squinting. Somehow he'd lost his glasses.
Panic gripped his spark in its tendrils, almost as icy as his surroundings. Blind and freezing, he found himself trudging forward into the hellscape in front of him. There wasn't anything left to do but walk.

Strengths:
- Astute: Perceptive and observant, with a strong intuition. Leaves no stone unturned.
- Meticulous: Extremely exacting in his work, not stopping until he deems it perfect or as close as it can be.
- Loyal: Peripheral is quite loyal, but he sometimes ends putting himself in danger to protect those he cares about.
- Blunt: Calls it as he sees it, even when he probably should use a little bit more tact. However, he's usually very honest.
Weaknesses:
- Volatile: Prone to sudden changes in mood and behavior.
- Nearsighted: Extremely nearsighted, to the point where he is essentially blind without his glasses.
- Intense Focus: Allows Peripheral to focus intensely on tasks and procedures, but is highly detrimental to his physical and mental health.
- Timid: Peripheral lacks confidence in his abilities, sometimes needing someone to give him a gentle nudge before he feels he can start things.
- Naive: His youth coupled with his spotty memory causes Peripheral to be very trusting, sometimes making it easy to take advantage of and mislead him.
Abilities:
- Ambidexterity: equally adapted in the use of both the left and right hand. Favors the left.
- Intense Focus: Able to focus on a task to an extreme degree. However, this comes at a heavy price, so it should be used with caution.
- Medical training: Peripheral is a medical student. While he isn't the most gifted medic, he is decent.
Weaponry:
None proper, though he can be dangerous with the right medical tools.
