Characters: Open Location: Ireland Content Warnings: N/A Plot Summary: Star Saber arrives on Earth but stops to take in the beauty of the country in which he’s landed.
Star Saber stood near the sea overlooking the beauty of the country he’d landed on. Somewhere the humans called “Ireland”. It was a truly beautiful place to wait for his fellow Autobots to answer the call he had placed no more than an hour ago. If anything, it allowed for him to take in the scenery of what could be his new home - should he stay there, that is.
He watched as birds flew by, deep in thought as he did. He wondered who would even be there. Had anyone he knew even survived the exodus? If so what kind of a war was he now stepping into? He’d been gone so long he had to wonder if he’d even be welcome at this point. Though he doubted he’d be turned away, or at least he hoped.
Usually the cops were the ones chasing the criminals, not the other way around. Sure the police cars might've had their sirens going, but they weren't chasing anybody. Instead, they were being chased. Two battered and beaten squad cars sped down Ireland's countryside roads as their pursuers closed in behind them. It was Motormaster, all pistons firing. The Stunticons had taken some time off from relic hunting for some much needed rest and relaxation, relaxation being a key phrase for reckless driving and highway robbery. Heatseeker, Dragstrip and Slashmark were also present in Ireland, somewhere. They'd each picked one corner of the country to stir up some havoc in, while Motormaster had personally taken Wildbreak along with him. A few choice comments from Knock Out had warranted the Stunticon leader taking Wildbreak along, if only to baby him.
"WILDBREAK! Don't tell me you're falling asleep back there!" Motormaster roared while shoving one of the police cars off the road, summarily into a ditch.
Wildbreak trailed on behind Motormaster, though he definitely was trailing behind. He'd never seen sights like this before, and it was hard to enjoy it and play road rash along with the local law enforcement. It was either one thing or the other, and it just plain sucked that he couldn't do both.
Eh. Maybe he could enjoy a bit more sight seeing after Motormaster got his fill in terms of property damage. Besides, roughing them up a bit was fun.
"Nope, boss! Got my nap in before we left. Not tired enough to take another nap just yet." He laughed a bit, putting pedal to the metal as he sped right up. Not fast enough to overtake Motormaster's lead, but just enough to completely sideswipe one of the cruisers, sending the fleshie flying. "So, uh.. What're we gonna do once we're done here, boss?"
The sound of distant sirens grabbed Star Saber’s attention immediately.
To say that he had a bad feeling about it might have been an understatement. His sensors were going off with Decepticon signatures. Two to be exact. And he was not sure what to make of them. The fact they seemed to be close however definitely sent up red flags, as the general carefully turned toward the noise.
Transforming into his large jet form, he quickly made a point of making a loud entrance to make his way toward the signals and the sirens. It didn’t take long to find the source of either - they were Stunticons and from personal experience he found they were hardly subtle. Star Saber wastes no time in transforming, bringing one blade out as he landed firmly in the path of the two Decepticons.
“I don’t suppose I could join the party, might I gentlemechs?” He asked rather nonchalantly.
Instead of replying to Wildbreak's question, Motormaster hit the brakes. A rather tall and smug looking roadblock was now in their way. He wasn't expecting any Autobot resistance for their little outing to Ireland, let alone somebody like Star Saber. To Star Saber's credit though, he'd make for a much more interesting fight than any of those little sparklings that followed Bumblebee around.
The massive semi truck transformed a moment later, limbs tearing out of the sides of the vehicle to form Motormaster in all his glory. They were both roughly at equal height, and in contrasting colors. The Decepticon drew his mighty Gladius, letting the blade sit in a low one-handed guard with the tip pointed away from him.
"It's invitation only, and I'm afraid we'll have to throw you out now."
Unlike Motormaster, Wildbreak just kept on going. He hadn't spotted the Autobot ahead of them just yet as he was more focused on the 'why' of why Motormaster was stopping. "What's up, boss? Find something nice to look at?"
He started to slow, only to bump right into the Autobot.
...the.....Autobot...
Wildbreak looked up at the Autobot while in vehicle mode, letting his boss do the talking. Seemed the guy wanted to crash the party, and Motormaster was definitely against it. "Yeah, what the boss says. Unless.. you actually got an invitation? You've got an invitation right? Come to think of it, I don't think we ever sent invitations."
With a nervous chuckle, he immediately attempted to drive around the Autobot. He reasoned with himself that Motormaster would've wanted him to keep on trucking and ignore the Autobot. Truthfully, he just wanted away from the tall guy.
Star Saber cracked his neck, of course, Motormaster looked as ready for a fight as ever. At the arrival of the second Decepticon he drew his second blade. He didn’t know who the younger one was, but he didn’t easily impress by almost driving past him. He figured the mech may be a bit in over his head - or simply unaware of who he was dealing with. Either way, he definitely was far from intimidated by either one. Some might mistake that for cockiness, but in reality Star Saber knew two against one would be harder.
Luckily he enjoyed a good challenge.
“Invitation only, eh? I’d think you’d at least invite the rest of your friends then. Or is “party” code for “babysitting”?” It might have been a bit of a jab, but he did like poking at Motormaster. “But if you’re really keen on taking me out. By all means, Motermasfer have at it.”
He prepared himself for the first strike. Hardly the type to ever strike first and risk it backfiring.
Motormaster was a bit irked at Wildbreak's decision to suddenly turn tail and run, but not all that surprised. He was Knock Out's offspring after all. He stood with his weapon drawn as he witnessed Star Saber's poor attempt at comedy. He reeeaaally hated these self-righteous types, Autobots in particular. A very large part of him was going to seriously enjoy this.
"Don't mind if I do," he answered back, slowly raising his blade up for a strike. On the other hand, literally, Motormaster extended the large-bore cannon mounted on his arm, firing off a quick shot at Star Saber to provoke him.
Wildbreak actually stopped and turned back around. Had he not been noticed? Had Motormaster been in trouble? It just confused him and he didn't need that stress. Delicate constitution and all! He certainly did take from Knock Out a bit too much.
Once he was turned around, he went ahead and transformed into root mode while behind Star Saber. He didn't have a big fancy blade like the two of them did, but he could at the very least find something a bit more practical. It was either that or the blaster, and shooting people in the back usually wasn't the best of ideas.
So he promptly picked up a rock and chucked it at Star Saber. "Careful! Road's a bit rocky!"
Star Saber actually smirked a little. Of course they would attack at the same time but he was hardly unprepared for it. Though it took him a half a second to notice the blaster and dodge out of the way. The rock was another story. Without hardly the blink of an optic he swung one blade and cut the rock clean in half with one of his blades letting the large rock pieces fall around him. “Well then, my turn, I assume?” He asked without missing a beat.
But what he did next would surprise the big brute, he didn’t go for Motormaster. Instead he charged straight for the mech behind him. It was something he knew he wouldn’t see coming, and neither would the kid. He leapt high in the air until he’d made a graceful landing behind him and swung his mighty blade for Wildbreak.
The voice came from above, seconds before a purple blur smashed into the ground in front of Motormaster. The femme stood up slowly. While she was an Autobot, one could easily mistake her for a Decepticon, given the purple and the spikes. A riot shield materialized on her arm as her brows narrowed at the Stunticon.
"Two against one hardly seems fair, don't you think?" asked Chronon.
Motormaster grunted as yet another uninvited party guest showed up to the function, unannounced. He retracted the cannon on his arm, feeling like a little up close and personal action was needed instead. Wildbreak would have to fend for himself for the moment, although he half expected him to just run away again. The rest of the Stunticons would be getting Motor's recall signal right about now, which means the real fight would be starting soon.
"Not when you've been such a rude guest."
The Decepticon transformed back into his vehicle mode, and charged at the newest Autobot to crash the party. Motormaster hit the brakes and swung his trailer in a wide arc with maximum momentum, bowling for party crashers at this point.
Direct hit... sorta! He managed to strike the Autobot's blade, and Motormaster had nailed him at the same time, even though the Autobot had cleaved his rock in two and didn't actually hit. Teamwork was always a good thing, but that didn't change the fact that the Autobot they were fighting was dangerous. He was preparing to make his move, and Wildbreak had assumed he was going to go straight for the boss.
Oh was he wrong.
"EEP!!" As Star Saber turned around and charged at him, Wildbreak unleashed his disruptive vibrational field. If he'd fired it off at the right time, the Autobot would be knocked off his pedes, but if not.. he was about to take a nasty hit.
That wasn't even mentioning the new guest that showed up. "Invitation, please!!"
Star Saber had looked up mid charge to see the other Autobots arrival. He didn’t recognize her, though there were many Autobots he didn’t know so it came as no surprise to him. “Nice to see someone got my invitation,” noting his beacon for any other Autobots, then turning to Wildbreak just in time to indeed get knocked off his odds
He fell back with a thud, stupified. Had this younger mech just projected some sort of forcefield? Well then, maybe he was going to be a bit more of a challenge after all. Using one of his swords to steady himself to his feet, he gritted his denta as he locked optics with the young mech. “Not bad, kid. But don’t get too cocky,” he noted under his death, thinking through his next movements carefully as he thought of ways that would strategically get him around that forcefield.
