I wouldn't say that everyone runs with a single glance from me.  I've noticed some come closer.. like you.  Not just you, but.. you know what I mean.  Right?

He can be rough with Miko sometimes, as she is with Bulkhead, but I know that he means well.  Those two are practically inseparable.  Optimus putting those two together.. sometimes I'm not sure if it was a good idea or a bad one, but they seem happy regardless.

I couldn't agree more that we finally have something to look forward to, something to keep us going until this war is finally over..

Oh, Wheeljack..

That means so much to me that you would do all of these things for me.  I never want to make you worry, though.. and if you ever need me for anything, all you have to do is ask.  Granted, I get testy when awoken from recharge, but I think that may also come from the fact that I myself don't recharge well.

Do you think.. that you also might be one of those mechs who just needs someone with them in order to recharge?

I would love to.  I just need to be sure that Pharma would be alright with running the medical bay on his own for the night, or day should we do this during the day time.  I'm sure that he would be, but with everything that's happened to him.. I would feel better being sure.

I know he'll be fine.  I just worry, especially with all that he's been through.  Maybe I'm just being overly cautious about it, but I'll talk to him.  That alone will make me feel better about it all.  Plus I would be sure.

Before we go to recharge, I just want to thank you again for staying awake and talking to me in order to relax me after that dream.  I'll make it up to you, I promise.

And what a date it had been! Movie night with his Sunshine had turned into something so much more, and while he hadn’t quite expected to bond himself to Ratchet (at least, not so soon) that night, Wheeljack knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. The afterparty had been equally as enjoyable, of course, and they both had recharged quite soundly that night.

And as things tended to go, Wheeljack had to say goodbye the next day in order to run some recon missions on a prospective target ‘Con mine. “I’ll message y’later, Sunshine,” he whispered fondly to Ratchet, before passionately kissing him goodbye, because passionate goodbye kisses were a thing, and Wheeljack quite loved stealing them.

Things went reasonably well after he’d gone off on his own. Reasonably well, that is, until he began purging his tanks rather violently and suddenly lost the ability to keep his balance.

You know.. there is a part of me that would really like to see you try and do that.  But regardless.. you rest well.  I know you need it, and I promise I'll get some rest as well.

Ratchet had been euphoric for days after their date.  It had been the best he'd ever been on, and their after party had won the night for him.  The feeling of bonding with another was definitely up there, but Ratchet knew where his favorite part of the night had been.  He'd even gotten a full night's recharge, snuggled up to Wheeljack, safe in his arms where no one could harm him.

He was sad when his Conjunx had to leave, but he was happy to have the kiss good-bye.  The medic made sure it was a passionate one, and one that he wouldn't be forgetting any time soon.  "Stay safe, my love.  Call me if you run into any trouble."

The message he got later on, however, wasn't one he had expected at all.  Wheeljack was purging, and that.. wasn't good.

There's a chance that you just have a virus, but I would need to know more.  How long has this been going on?

Either way, you rest from the vertigo first.  I don't want you to stress your frame further than you have to.  When you feel up to it, go ahead and send me the images.

This is going to sound crazy, but.. I have to know so that I can rule it out.

If this started after we bonded, then I have reason to believe that one of the causes of your vertigo and purging is that.. you're carrying.  Like I said, it's one of many possibilities, but I can rule it out by looking at your spark.
